I paid for 180 people to eat at my wedding and only 160 showed. He told me at the tasting he makes…read moremore than enough food per person. I did have a change in people from 300 to 180, which would mean he would owe me money. In response to that he told me about a month prior to my wedding that the price per plate goes up if that many people decline (this was never in any of the contracts or emails). I let it go as about a month before my wedding, I had bigger fish to fry. Day of my wedding the food tasted great, he told me at the end "they cleared me out! There are no leftovers. I usually make a quarter pound of meat per person but I made half a pound for yours." That was it, I was excited and told him I would send a tip to him post-wedding. Fast forward to the day after my wedding and was informed by family that the last two tables of my wedding got absolutely no meat and just beans and coleslaw left. Mind you we had 3 meats and 5 sides, buffet style. One of my cousins asked the owner where more food was as he began stating that men were piling food high. To which she pointed out there were no serving restrictions or servers serving to stop this from occurring. I was embarrassed and tried emailing to the owner to rectify the situation as 20 people of the 160 who showed didn't get fed. And I paid for 180. The owner has not responded at all. It has been over 2 months since my wedding. Definitely would not cater through them again.

I've had the occasion to hit up this bbq food truck a couple of times. This afternoon they were at…read moreKrape Park in Freeport so we grabbed a couple brisket sandwiches. I LOVE brisket done to perfection and these guys didn't disappoint! I'm guessing there was at least 1/2 lb of meat on that bun! It was exquisite alone without sauce, tender and not chewy. My husband and I could've easily split one but I'm glad we didn't! I'll definitely be watching their location schedule more closely! Thanks, 3HM, for an outstanding lunch today!

TL;DR: Food was served quickly, was tasty, and I would eat there again…read more Details: I ordered Vegetables Hibachi, which tasted similar to most of the fast-Japanese food available locally, and I ordered Vegetable Noodles, which is different than what you can get at most of the area fast-Japanese places which mostly serve fried rice with their hibachi fare. The noodles were similar to fettuccini in width and slid easily into my mouth. Portions were filling for both of the items. The dipping sauce was tiny sized, but plenty-and reminded me of Thousand Island salad dressing, but slightly different. The vegetables for both were onions, carrots, broccoli, and some sort of squash/zucchini, all sliced small/mini-bite sized. The spring rolls are the deep-fried kind, and vegetable. Not sure if these come with a dipping sauce. Plenty of my friends seem to enjoy their bubble teas-might try this on a return visit. They also have Rayume sodas. Location is in a parking lot across the street from the Menard's on IL 173, just West of Rockford Speedway. The parking area is not well lit, so beware of the large potholes that will gobble up your tires as quickly as you will gobble up this tasty food in a few parts of the lot, but there is plenty of open, free, parking, and it feels safe. If they are busy, they will give you a pager so you don't need to stand around the trailer after you order and pay (they accept credit cards and cash). I assume the parking lot allows for semi trucks, as it's huge, spacious, and on a state highway/not far from the I-90/I-39/US51 interchange and assumed to be on a truck route. No restroom facilities on site: it's a food truck.

The noodles aren't too greasy but have good flavor, which I personally prefer. The service is great! The people that run the food truck are very kind and are always excited to see their costumers. They make sure you're well taken care of and are quick with getting the fresh food to you. I would definitely recommend if you want an easy, friendly, and yummy experience!
