This was a cute place. I really enjoyed seeing all the artistry. It was cool to know that all of the art was done by local artist. The atmosphere is just light and fun with plenty of photo ops. This is good for a date night or just a family day out.

I will admit, I didn't know what to expect when I went here. (It was kind of spur of the moment and it sounded like different things when you googled it: an art exhibit? Or gallery? landmark? Or what?) It's very informative, clean & vibrant. I would suggest bringing your kids. There's only a few things they ask that nobody touch but everything else is free game.

    The fun starts here!

Where to begin. Everything is organized to start. We arrive a few minutes early, but our tour started right on time. The people who greeted us were so friendly. Our first guide was wonderful. He was so excited to share his knowledge. The art was so amazing and most of it could be touched. The color were vivid and reflected the energy of New Orleans. There were music displays and art and so much more. All ages in our group from 11-75, and everyone loved it!

10/10! After being disappointed by another activity the day prior, I came to JamNola wary of what it would have to offer and if I'd be worth it. My sister and I arrived around 1PM with a small group already there so we joined that group for the mini tour/introduction to JamNola. I'm not even going to give a detailed review because honestly this should be a stop everyone needs to experience for themselves when visiting NO! JamNola was such a fun, immersive experience! I enjoyed myself from beginning to end. JN has so many great picture moments, there's two levels of enjoyable art and there's a room that delves into the history of Mardi Gras Indians which was so interesting. I knew JamNOLA did its job when I left feeling proud to be born in New Orleans. The price for the whole experience was worth it to me and I have to shout out the staff!!!! The staff from the time we entered to the time we left was so sweet, knowledgeable, made the tour fun and seem like they genuinely enjoyed their jobs, it heightened the experience for sure!!! Just come here, nothing else needs to be said!!

Visited during a girls' trip after spotting it on the Time Out website. We grabbed our tickets on Groupon and had such a cute, fun experience. It's a great way to spend an hour or two...learning a bit of New Orleans history while taking advantage of their adorable photo opportunities. It's also located directly across the street from the legendary Loretta's Authentic Pralines...home of (in my opinion) the best beignets in New Orleans...so you can easily treat yourself afterward. Definitely worth a visit!

This is a fun interactive museum celebrating New Orleans history and music. Each instillation is colorful with history. You can download music from some of then exhibits. The 3 d glasses enhance the experience. The pictures posted here speak better then I can. My toddler grandson even enjoyed it.

Excellent immersion experience to learn about the history, art, music and culture of NoLa. There are exhibits, music, videos and numerous displays filled with light and color. The staff is amazing and friendly and very knowledgeable. They are available throughout the exhibits to answer questions and have a a very warm demeanor. You are able to make different music selections. Engage and touch the exhibits as well as scan QR codes to get more detailed info. This is a great way to learn about NOLA history and support the artists who have contributed to the project as well.

This was our 2nd time visiting JamNola but the first time on Frenchmen Street. Easy online Booking! Check out Groupon as they usually have deals. A great place for selfies and interactive rooms all revolving around New Orleans culture and history. Would not be ideal for anyone with sensory issues. Staff were all friendly. They guide you on part of the tour and then you check out everything at your speed. Definitely a fun family outing. I did enjoy the displays the previous time better but this was still a fun time.

I came here off of a recommendation from my boyfriend's mom. He and I booked an earlier time at 11 AM. This turned out to be a great decision because as the day wore on, the museum got much busier. Staff were so incredibly friendly and very engaging with the guests! All of the art was interactive, bright, and so colorful. This is a true gem for New Orleans and I hope to see it expand and thrive! This is a huge recommendation if you're visiting the area.

Everything was a good learning experience 1)It's amazing how raw talent is expressed through the desire and need to make something out of nothing and be appreciated for your ingenuity . 2).This a Must See..and hear....Needle and Thread (song)...was about making the traditional regalia...and how each suit expressed family lineage, tribal lineage and how the merge between Indians and Africans came about in that area... Very good place to visit

I absolutely loved my experience at JAMNOLA! The staff was very kind and informative to me even when I was there as a solo visitor. They didn't rush my exploration which I really appreciated. From looking at the outside, you'd think that the museum would be small... boy is that assumption totally wrong! When I went inside, everything was so spacey and detailed. From facts to medium designs, I can tell the creators of this place put a lot of work and effort into it. It was a fun and creative way of learning about the history and impact of jazz music in New Orleans. As for parking, it's only street parking but there are a lot of spaces available around the area. Overall, I really loved my experience here at JAMNOLA and would recommend people visiting at least once in their lives if they're visiting the area.

This place was really fun! It's a bit far away from the main area if you don't have a car. But if it's nice weather, it's a nice walk from the French market. They just changed locations and at the new location they have all new art set up. All the art is recycled so it's super creative and unique. The workers here are super nice and knowledgeable. They to you around individually and small groups. Definitely a great spot to go if you're looking to have a lot of photo opportunities! We took my mother here for Mother's Day weekend, she had a blast! Definitely a great way to connect and bond with your family of all ages! The only reason why I took off one star is because I believe it is a very small museum for a high ticket price. We paid just over $100 for three people.

This is place is so much fun! An interactive and creative way to learn about NOLA's history was a great way to start my trip! There's so much to see and the guides do a great job explaining how everything came together. There's gift shop at the end had a lot of amazing gifts to purchase. A+ visit!!!

The floats are kind of stacked in front of and around each other, but you can still tell what you're looking at because they are so huge. We saw Buzz Lightyear, Spock, Pepé Le Pew, and other gigantic floats, with some non licensed floats like a greek soldier, a fountain, a cow, and a buck toothed dragon. Now here is where things got a little weird. When we got there, we definitely did NOT do a tour, like the website says is required. We perused the gift shop, bought a few things, and then walked through the warehouse by ourselves and saw the floats on our way out. Mardi Gras World is a pretty neat place to visit, but it's definitely outside the central area of New Orleans. For just a quick stop to shop and see a few floats it's fine, but I think if I went back, I would definitely seek out the tour and figure out how to do that!

Believe it or not, most of the tour companies focus solely on ghosts, but we wanted the vampire history as well. The tour itself is 1.5-2 hours with a short break at a local dive bar that serves alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages at a cheap price. The tour guide will also point families with minors to another local spot. Getting into the tour itself, we were lead by Andi, a new resident to New Orleans with lots of knowledge on the paranormal and history of the city. Their voice and way with words made for remarkable storytelling that drew me in. Not only did Andi give us adequate information on ghosts in the neighborhood, the Ursuline convent, Marie Laveau, St. Germaine and more, but they lead with empathy. Explaining why it's important to remember the dark history of both slavery and racism. I learned a lot on the history of voodoo and understand it in a better light, not the version the church likes to portray. I was hesitant about seeing the Lalaurie mansion because I was worried about how the guide would describe this place, but the way they handled the topic was very appropriate. I really respect that they didn't romanticize the gory aspects, but emphasized how horrific the events that occurred here were. The woman who lived there was evil and its better to keep a distance from the house, which our guide also warned us about. "It's important that we remember our history, it helps us become kinder people." -Andi Moving on to the rest of the tour, I can say I learned quite a lot and was satisfied the experience. I didn't see a ghost, but I did smell tobacco smoke underneath William Faulkners apartment. 10/10 I would recommend Witches Brew Tours to anyone looking for a ghost tour. She came across like an overly dramatic theater kid who couldn't dial it back. Her mannerisms and constant theatrics were cringey, and while maybe one or two stories had potential, the delivery completely ruined them. She would randomly go off on personal tangents (where she lives, her parents, and other irrelevant details) that had absolutely nothing to do with ghosts or vampires and added nothing to the experience. The worst part was her points system, where she'd give out points if people followed instructions or answered questions. For example, when we stayed on the sidewalk instead of walking in the street, she'd shout "10 points!" and point at each person while repeating it. It wasn't quirky or fun, it was just annoying. I wouldn't recommend this tour based on her alone. After our awful experience we tried another company called Nola Ghost Riders and I'd highly recommend them. As requested, I will keep the individual location names secret as to not spoil your potential food tour but also because the stops can change and I don't want to have you disappointed if you don't get the same places on your tour. Ty was a great guide, providing us with local history and culture as we ate our way down Magazine Street. The only complaint I have is that they didn't really interact with us during the food portions, standing or sitting off to the side, or running to the next location to make sure we were all set. To me, the guide should be not only the bridge between the locations and food with us, but also a bridge between the different groups on the tour. Ty told us before the tour started that the other folks joining us were from Michigan, but we found out from them later that they were actually from New York. Had these connections been made earlier, it would have enhanced the tour. On to the food, wonderful that it all was! Please note that I may make some errors in the actual names of the food, while I took pictures, I did not write down the names and there wasn't a post-tour recap to assist me! Stop #1: A local sandwich and a seafood side. Both quite good, especially since I don't like olives! Stop #2: An unusual meat that was shockingly good! Stop #3: Seafood options. I've had a different version of one of these items in Asheville, NC. This wasn't quite as good but still tasty. Stop #4: Southern favorites that were so good! I didn't think I would like these but I did. Stop #5: A peppermint fudge cupcake. Sadly, the weakest stop on the tour. Other that tried the gelato came away disappointed and my cupcake was neither overly fudgey or pepperminty. It looked pretty, though!
