Our guide Logan was very knowledgeable about New Orleans Voo Doo. The tour started off slow but really picked up toward the end with some really spooky stories. My favorite was the vampire children in the Catholic church.

The best tour group! If you would like to get the spooky side of New Orleans please book witches brew tours. You also get to learn about Louisiana history. There was a lot of stories and information. The location of where the tour starts is very easy to find. You also get to see their haunted sanctuary. You are free to browse around and look... only if you're brave enough of course ;)! Overall, this was a great activity for the trip.

Apparently the only house with a red door in the French Quarter.

Date of tour: December 21, 2024 This was the Witches Brew Tour New Orleans Ghost, Voodoo, & Vampire Mysteries Walking Tour with Mack. One of the harder reviews for me to write, as I would love to give four stars but the beginning of the tour was a bit rough as there were WAY TOO MANY people gathered for these tours as well as a lot of horse trading to decide who was going with which tour guide. Seems like that should have been worked out in advance, but that's just me. Mack, however was a pretty decent guide. He had a nice mix of local history, architecture, ghosts, voodoo, the whole works! Loved that we happened to stop in front of the only house in the French Quarter with a red door, which was also featured on a piece of local art I purchased earlier in the trip. Bonus points that this is supposedly the place that inspired Anne Rice to write about Lestat for "Interview with the Vampire." Didn't love the stop at the shady-looking bar halfway through but other than that, it was a good tour!

We had signed up for the 8:00pm "Witches Brew Tour New Orleans Ghost, Voodoo, & Vampire Mysteries Walking Tour" and were looking really forward to it. We met up and the meet up place and met our tour guide the "Swamp Witch JuJu!" She was wonderful. We had a wonderful 2-hour walking tour listening to all of tales of terror and horror in The Big Easy.

OMG I cannot say enough good things about this tour. First, our tour guide Chris was simply amazing! He worked in stories about New Orleans past and present and had some much knowledge about the city and subject you would think he lived there all his life. He went in-depth about the areas we passed and the houses we viewed, without being overly gruesome even when the subject called for it. He moved at a pace that kept everyone comfortable and even would point out the many holes in the sidewalks which would take you to another portal to maintain the safety of his guests. His demeaner and personality is beyond compare. The only disappointment I had was we didn't talk about the Axeman or pass Marie Laveau's house, but he did tell us where we could find information and directions to the former site of Laveau's house. It has been torn down and a new duplex stands on the property. The tour itself was amazing and I highly recommend both the tour and Chris as your guide. You will not be disappointed!!

Our guide was funny and well educated plus we got to stop at a bar! Even with the rain we still had a blast definitely recommend! I've done this two twice and learned things each time!

    | New Orleans Adults Only - Ghost, Voodoo, and Vampire Tour | Pleased to say that this tour was very enjoyable, educational, and even included some humor! Our tour guide, Spooky Rob, speaks on the stories with much enthusiasm and mystery which makes the tour very engaging. Everywhere we went he knew someone and was friendly. 100% recommended booking a tour with Rob, he knows his stuff and will give you a wonderful experience!

We booked a Cemetery Tour through Witches Brew and had a great time. I went with a group of 5 friends, and we basically had a private tour. I think the other two guests just didn't show. The guide, Taylor, was similar in age to our group and kind of tailored his presentation to our comments and vibe, which was great. It is about a mile walk, minimal shade. We met at a pizza shop, G's Pizza, so make sure to use the restroom there if that's a concern, and bring a full water bottle. At the end, Taylor dropped us at the street car stop so we could get down to Canal Street for our brunch reservation, but you can also return to G's for a snack. The tour is fun and informative, a reasonable length of time (not too long, not too rushed), and he left us some time to explore on our own.

My friends brought me on the ghost tour and I thought it'd be a waste of time, but I ended up loving it! Our tour guide was Christie and she was such an amazing storyteller--she kept the whole group of about 20 people engaged the whole time. She knew exactly when to be witty and when to be serious at the right times in the stories, and kept us on our toes with the suspense. Despite the name, the tour had much more educational value than I was expecting. It was a walking tour and we went to several historic sites in the French Quarter. Even if you don't believe in ghosts, all of the stories were based on real historical events and people. I would definitely recommend going if you are interested in history or ghosts, or both!

We meet up at the Voodoo Lounge, where there is a ticket office in the back room. We didn't live the bar--smelled a little bit like a sewer and the hurricanes were super sweet and kind of weak. But we did have but one get one, so wasn't that upset. The tour was great. We saw some interesting, haunted places and heard the history behind them. We didn't linger too long at any one place. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and funny, although he may have been a tad bit too heavy on the Catholic Church jokes. The tour ended at the LaLaurie house, and our guide shared a story about a little girl on who was recently on his tour who started crying and asked why there were dead people on the balcony. Spooky! I was so intrigued by what he said that I started looking up stories about Delphine LaLaurie and the haunting of the house. When I got home, I even started watching season 3 of American Horror Story, which has the character Delphine LaLaurie (accurate? No. Fun? Yes!). This was a fun way to spend the evening. There was an obnoxiously drunk guy on our tour, and our guide handled him well.

She came across like an overly dramatic theater kid who couldn't dial it back. Her mannerisms and constant theatrics were cringey, and while maybe one or two stories had potential, the delivery completely ruined them. She would randomly go off on personal tangents (where she lives, her parents, and other irrelevant details) that had absolutely nothing to do with ghosts or vampires and added nothing to the experience. The worst part was her points system, where she'd give out points if people followed instructions or answered questions. For example, when we stayed on the sidewalk instead of walking in the street, she'd shout "10 points!" and point at each person while repeating it. It wasn't quirky or fun, it was just annoying. I wouldn't recommend this tour based on her alone. After our awful experience we tried another company called Nola Ghost Riders and I'd highly recommend them. They are located at the Voodoo Lounge off Decatur St, while French Quarter Phantoms is at Voodoo Lounge off Rampart St.

Date of tour: December 21, 2024…read more After a wonderful food tour in Prague last year, we wanted to replicate the magic stateside while visiting New Orleans, a city with a rich food history and scene. As requested, I will keep the individual location names secret as to not spoil your potential food tour but also because the stops can change and I don't want to have you disappointed if you don't get the same places on your tour. Ty was a great guide, providing us with local history and culture as we ate our way down Magazine Street. The only complaint I have is that they didn't really interact with us during the food portions, standing or sitting off to the side, or running to the next location to make sure we were all set. To me, the guide should be not only the bridge between the locations and food with us, but also a bridge between the different groups on the tour. Ty told us before the tour started that the other folks joining us were from Michigan, but we found out from them later that they were actually from New York. Had these connections been made earlier, it would have enhanced the tour. On to the food, wonderful that it all was! Please note that I may make some errors in the actual names of the food, while I took pictures, I did not write down the names and there wasn't a post-tour recap to assist me! Stop #1: A local sandwich and a seafood side. Both quite good, especially since I don't like olives! Stop #2: An unusual meat that was shockingly good! Stop #3: Seafood options. I've had a different version of one of these items in Asheville, NC. This wasn't quite as good but still tasty. Stop #4: Southern favorites that were so good! I didn't think I would like these but I did. Stop #5: A peppermint fudge cupcake. Sadly, the weakest stop on the tour. Other that tried the gelato came away disappointed and my cupcake was neither overly fudgey or pepperminty. It looked pretty, though!

This is a small group experience, which is why I wanted to do this one. We met at the Tableau Restaurant and were offered the choice of an aperol spritz or a French 75. We chose the spritz. We were told some history and ghost lore before going up to the wine room for some more stories. Very cool. They showed us video of a ghostly incident that had occurred there before. Next we walked down the street where we were told about the haunting at Muriel's Restaurant, where they also set a ghost table. Our last stop was at a psychic shop where we did a tarot card reading and we're given a Pan Am cocktail. I highly recommend this tour. The best thing about the Creole Queen is the narrator. After the battlefield, the second half of the tour focuses on Hurricane Katrina. He wants that it can be disturbing and announced that if you didn't want to hear it, you can go to the dining room, as it isn't broadcasted in there. He is very candid, and I learned so much about the terrible way Hurricane Katrina was handled, as well as just how terrible the hurricane was. It was very, very sad. I highly recommend this tour.
