The office manager, Sean took charge of ordering the Euflexa injection for my right knee. I am pleased to say they made an immediate appointment for me. I am now seeing the PA, Johnny who is fantastic. He gave me the injection painlessly and was very understanding. I will be going back to see him again for the next shots. Recently I had pain in the right heel and up the back of the ankle. I called for a appointment and was able to be seen within a reasonable amount of time. Johnny had x-rays taken and discovered I had plantar fasciitis and a heel spur. Johnny recommended PT and my heel is improving. Their PT facilities are excellent and The Physical Therapist, Alex and Molly are terrific. Alex is personable, concerning, skilled and keeps me on my toes for home exercises. Molly is vigilant in helping me with my exercises while at PT. Very pleased.

Suggestions: with any spinal surgery a before surgery and after surgery immediately visit to the physical therapy to learn about recovery movements. I was taught after the surgery while still recovering from the surgery drugs and the recovery Fentanyl a few ways to move. My husband tried to understand the directions for me. When I had my knee replacement, an OT/PT nurse was sent to my house immediately to coach me on my recovery. This was only for two weeks, but it was extremely valuable. I had a quick and uneventful. I'll admit, after being involved in thousands of spine operations, the tables turned when I became the patient. Connie, the tech helping during my procedure and running the X-ray was amazing as well, I was lucky enough to have her in my procedure both times. If you go as a patient to have an injection, request her. Very professional and down to earth. Eases whatever nerves you may have about the injection. Dr Wagner is very up front. Tells you his honest opinion. Tells you what you NEED to hear, not what you WANT to hear. First injection didn't work, which he warned me of statistically beforehand. Second injection is next week. Said he will try twice and no more. He's not trying to add to his bank account by doing countless injections when statistically the chances of them working get drastically lower after #2. Calms my nerves with his great sense of humor. I'd HIGHLY recommend him to friends and my peers in the surgical community. It's a little weird for me personally being under the needle rather than holding it. Great experience though.

I saw Dr. Wagner because my DO thought I might have a torn labrum in my hip, as well as chronic…read moretendonitis in my shoulder (I know, I know, I'm a mess). Dr. Wagner appears to be the authority for Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) injections, which might help with the tendonitis, and was recommended for prolotherapy of the hip. As an aside, if you're looking to do RPR, make sure you don't have Aetna, as they are the only insurance that doesn't cover this procedure. My DO (who I've reviewed here) refers his patients to Dr. Wagner for prolotherapy of the hip because he does it under fluoroscopy (a continuous X-ray), which is important because the hip joint is such a deep joint you don't want to go in there blind. Dr. Wagner seems like a nice guy, and very knowledgeable in his fields. After the first visit he ordered an MRI with contrast. At the second visit he checked out the MRI and it turns out that I don't have a torn labrum so he was unable to help me, and by the time the second visit came around I had my tendonitis under control. However, his demeanor and his apparent abilities gets him four stars in my book, although it should be noted that I have not had that much interaction with him. One thing that should be known about him is that when the diagnosis deals with something that falls outside his expertise he gives very conservative advice. For example, if one were to have femur-acetabular impingement he would advice no running, rowing, cycling, or any weight lifting that puts additional load onto the hip, even if it doesn't cause pain. This is not a bad thing, but a good thing, playing it safe with issues he's unfamiliar with is very reasonable. I merely mention this because I feel like it should be worth noting.
