I would not recommend or ever use Jan Fence ever again. The $12,000. fence was installed 2 years ago and they did a nice job on the installation with the exception of installing a 7' gate with a 6' fence. I spoke to their customer service and the gate was replaced. Last year that gate came off its hinges so I called once again and 8 weeks later they came out and fixed the gate. In the beginning April 2015 my landscaper told me the gate came off the hinge again so I called Jan Fence and was told it would be 3-4 weeks. I waited 8 weeks and when I called back I spoke with Tommy and he said they had no record of the call. They made an appointment with Ryan the tech who said he would call when he got to my home between 8:00 am and 8:30 am. I waited until 9:00 and he never called. I called and left him a message without a return call. I called Jan at 9:30 and I was told Ryan was already there and was going to give me an estimate for the repair. Tommy called and said it would be another 2 weeks before the repair could be done. I said it would be 3 months from the initial call and that was not good enough. He told me nothing could be done. I asked to speak to the owner and he was not available. I asked to leave a message and he said ok. I never heard back from the owner. I went to take a look at the fence this past weekend and noticed the gate was installed incorrectly. I took out my socket wrench set and fixed the gate within 5 minutes. I must have called 20 times going back and forth, waited at home for 2 hours, and all I got from Jan Fence was aggravation. The above review (Michael L.) is entirely without merit. It is slanderous and 100% inaccurate. Jan Fence has an extremely accurate, custom CRM program that tracks all customer calls and schedules. Mr. L never called in April and simply chose to use that as a ploy to get free work done. When I (Tommy) personally spoke with Mr. L, everything was resolved and we were going to service his gate within five (5) days of my communication with Mr. L. Keep in mind, we are over 4 weeks out on our schedule, so I went above and beyond to accommodate Mr. L. Furthermore, we did not install his gate improperly. His landscaper that he claims informed him of the damage (or perhaps Mr. L himself) ran into the gate with heavy machinery (i.e. a lawn mower) and damaged it. This repair work would have been at the expense of Mr. L because the damage was inflicted by unnatural causes (again, possibly his landscaper who coincidentally informed Mr. L of the damage) but in another attempt to satisfy Mr. L, we had informed him that we would not only do the repair at no cost to Mr. L but, again, we would also be at his home within five (5) days of my conversation with him. This is a customer who has no issue with defaming a company and spewing slanderous, false accusations in order to receive free services. Jan Fence has countless accolades, reviews and awards commending our customer service and it is something that we have worked very hard for. I recently had Jan Fence install a PVC fence around my yard as well as an aluminum fence and gates around the front of my home. This is the second home for which I have used them and in both instances, I could not be more pleased. They were on time, courteous, professional, neat and the final product looks amazing. They delivered exactly what I contracted for in the agreed time frame and the process from sales to installation was as smooth as can be. I have referred them a number of times to my friends and have heard nothing but raves from all that use them. Jan Fence far exceeded our expectations! After a horrible experience with another fence contractor, Jan provided a fair estimate and did the work within a couple of weeks. They completed a sizeable post and rail fence in two days. Our sales representative was very pleasant and accommodating. The gentlemen who did the work were polite and very neat and thorough. They are committed to the quality of their work. After they completed the job according to the plans and we made our final payment, we expressed a concern about the placement of post and they were on the site to make adjustments within two days. Jan Fence is wonderful. We first installed our fence about 10 years ago, and it still looks brand new. In that time, a tree fell on a small portion of the fence, and our neighbors accidentally damaged another part. Both times, Jan came out quickly and replaced the damaged portions. We didn't even need to be home- they just came in and fixed it. They are great to work with, and I found the prices to be very reasonable. read more

The salesman was able to offer me many options to fence my yard and their showroom had a lot of styles and color options to see and choose from.
