This is definitely a cool locals bar with not a ton of seating but that's good because there's an intimate feel to the place. And come to find out, it's because almost everyone in there knows each other's names. Were ordered off the game day specials and got a Chicago dog with fries, BBQ chicken pizza and Stuffed jalapeños. So you can order off the appetizer menu but not happy hour pricing . No beer is $5 . Our server Amir was very nice ! We will try the dinner menu next week , doesn't seem to be overly expensive. The bread rolls were dry and crumbled in your hands, as you ate them. They had some type of chicken in some sauce and salmon. I asked about the omelet station and was told they wanted to change things around. WHY?? Last year's brunch was excellent. They had a mimosa station and you could serve yourself with berries to put in them. The omlette station was great. I think they had ham and prime rib.. delicious! Mind you, we paid a total of about $99 for each of us, by the time you pay taxes and the gratuities. It was supposed to be only 65 prior to those additions. We ate as much as we could and left. Suffice to say, we won't be going back to their brunches any more. I felt like we got ripped off. Everything seemed to be done on the cheap. Okay. I waited just about 24 hours to post this. This happened on Sunday Aug 2nd 2026 at around…read more1:30pm. My friend and I popped in to Winchell's Pub and Grill for a beer and wings. We sat in the "bar" area. At that time there were around 5 patrons sitting at the bar proper playing video poker and the like. Pretty quite. We sat at the bar tables and not at the bar because usually those are reserved for people playing video poker, in most taverns it is. No big deal. My friend went to the bar and asked the server about getting a couple of beers. She was polite and came out from the bar to serve us. She took the beer and wing order. She also asked if we'd like waters. Yes thank you and my friend asked for lemon with his water. And this is where it went down hill and fast. She came out with the two beers and water but no lemon. My friend asked about the lemon and she apologized for not having already with his water. No big deal, at this point. The wings come out and again. No lemon. My friend goes up to the bar, a scant under 5 feet away from our bar table and nicely asks again for his lemon. At this point, she could have just put a few in a small cup and this would be the end. Nope. She says she'll bring some around. At this point. The number of patrons at the bar is still sitting at 5. All happily playing video poker. There doesn't seem like a lot needs to be done with them at this point. I even saw the server putting on lip gloss or whatever. Now the server gets to bringing over the lemon that was missing from the beginning of the order. Well, we got read the riot act. She begins to tell us that, if we want to have somebody waiting on them at a moments notice, we should have gone to the resturant portion of the Pub and Grill because there are more people to help and that she is all by herself. This is verbatim. The people that are playing poker at the bar are priority not the people sitting at the tables. Next time you're just eating and drinking go to the restaurant portion of the establishment not the bar she explained. Well, my friend just so happens to be a bartender and said, yes, you've got to do some juggling, I get it. But to have to ask three times to get something that should have been included with the order that showed up is on the server. Then to basically tell us, your presences here in the bar is of low priority is an insult. Sucking up to the patrons that gamble so you get a bigger tip is on you love. You run the bar area, all the patrons are your priority. I didn't pay the bill my friend did and by the way of his reaction to it all, I'm sure the tip was close to ZERO. If this is indicative of the bar staff at this and all other locations, my hard earned money will be going elsewhere where.

We typically go here when we're craving a good steak but don't want to break the bank. They have a NY Strip steak that I'd put up against most Vegas steakhouses. They also serve it with some butter n garlicky asparagus and carrots. And for only $24.95, no other place can touch it. Although we were way too bloated for dessert, they do have a couple of amazing ones to try if you come here. The fried Oreos are deadly! Unfortunately the gaming has tanked. My wife and I have been regulars here since 2017. We're not high- rollers by any means but consistently are on their list for Christmas bonus credits which go to a certain tier of gambler. That's not to brag, but to illustrate that we bet enough and consistently hit prior to the changeover and have hit only a few times since. It's worth mentioning they changed all their machines out but I have also heard that new machines normally hit well while the company dials them in. Also, none of them make sound which is an experience downer. It's the same with ALL of our friends who are regulars as well. The is not an anomaly, the payouts are statistically much lower and the payout board on the wall shows it. It's our favorite hangout so I hope it changes.
