After living in Las Vegas for about 2 years, I had driven by this place multiple times. I had always meant to stop in but just never had the opportunity, I'm so glad that I finally did. It's located right down. Cactus before you get to the big Optum medical building, it's really easy to find. There's plenty of parking along the sides of the building, so you don't have to worry about where you're going to put your car. The outside of the building is very inviting and almost looks like you're coming home. When you walk in the door, the interior of the building really feels like you are in someone's house. Dark wall paneling, that dim lights, and just an overall warmth gives this place a very home-like atmosphere. The bar area is really beautiful. Plenty of TV surrounding the bar as well as gaming options so there is plenty to see and do while you're there. I opted for a booth as I wanted to have breakfast. Even though it was a slower morning, the weight staff was very attentive and made sure that everything I wanted was available. I decided on the breakfast to burrito, and had some coffee while I waited. I have to tell you, the food here is very good. Like I have seen a million of these little taverns all over the Las Vegas area of connoral and have been to a couple and the food was.. adequate. Fireside had a great home-cooked meal vibe to it that I really really enjoyed. Bottom line? If you are ever off of cactus and you are looking for a bite to eat or a drink or want to throw 20 bucks into a video machine, this is definitely the place you want to go. This is our FAVORITE "go to" family restaurant! We always get great service, whether it's in the dining room or in the bar. Carla, Maria, and the weekend bartender are AWESOME! It's like a restaurant version of "Cheers" when you go in here! They are open 24hrs and they have cameras and a doorbell for security in the middle of the night, so you can always feel safe even at 2 or 3 am! They have a REDICULOUSLY GREAT Artichoke Dip with Blue Cheese with fresh chips! I know, I know, you think...."Blue Cheese...ewwww" but I'm telling you....that dip is to DIE FOR, and I hate Blue Cheese.... You HAVE to try it! I've brought 4 different groups here and all of them (even like me, the ones who hate blue cheese) and they LOVED the dip and FRESH chips. The clam chowder is good, but the ambiance is so romantic and "homie" in the dining room. The bar has TONS of TV's with almost any sport you want to watch, and like most places in Las Vegas, it has gaming machines in the bar also. But the service and the food are BIG winners here! Walked in on Saturday evening around 5. Inside was very dark and somewhat dingey. We were immediately stopped by someone who said "are you gaming?" To which we said no. And she said "Well you can't sit at the bar then. You can only sit at a table or where there's no machines." There were 6 people in the bar. We weren't going to sit at a table because we were there to watch football at the bar. Needless to say, we turned around and left. This place turned down our patronage simply because we weren't gambling. I can understand if the bar was full or if she would have said if someone wants to gamble you may have to move. But no, she didn't want our business. And guess what, they will never get our business. We went somewhere else, sat at the bar, didn't game at all and left the bartender double the tip. I was recommended this establishment from a good friend, a long term resident of sin-city, the food was very tasty, this was the second of third place I've visited for a meal and drinks during my virgin time in Las Vegas all the way from Belfast Ireland... to my shock the rudeness, abrasiveness and downright gall of some of the staff namely this lady names cat, I could smell the alcohol on her breath when we spoke ... something seemed wrong, she seemed ill? We were driving by and decided to check this bar out. It immediately has the smell of a campfire as you walk in which was a cool effect. The bar is dark but it was a good vibe. The Raiders preseason game was on and people enthusiastically watched and commented. It was fun! The bartender was nice, friendly and attentive. We sat down at the bar played some video poker and ordered some drinks and food. We shared the fish tacos and they were fresh and had good flavor. Came here for the first time on Friday for lunch. Sat at the bar and was quickly greeted by the bar tender. The menu has a lot to choose from. I ordered the reuben sandwich with sweet potatoes and also a side salad. Everything was so good!! Will definitely be back! Update: went back to try the Cajun Pasta and it was pretty good. This place is a hidden gem. A "local" spot one would say. We wanted a good lunch before driving back to LA and noticed it was near the Costco where I was gonna gas up. Food was great. Ambience was amazing and the server was awesome. Recommend a good beer to pair with our meal. I had the chili fries and my partner had the bison burger with cheesy tots. She thoroughly enjoyed it. Came here this afternoon to get a late lunch. I have seen it a few times and pop up and notices the food had good reviews. Easy to find and get to. When you walk in, be prepared for your eyes to adjust. Walking in from a bright environment to a dark environment takes a few seconds to adjust. I think it might be just a little too dark. Place wasn't that busy. As I was attempting to see, I was approached which would be my server to have a seat anywhere. I had just missed the cutoff for breakfast which wasn't a big deal since I wanted lunch. The menu has some good selections. I went with the fire burger. Basically loaded with Chipotle mayo, jalapeño and jalapeño bacon. It came out and was hot, burger was cooked perfectly to medium well. I requested easy on the mayo which they did. Some places you get more bun, less burger. Not here. Burger was plump and a good size. Fries were also good. My server was very nice and attentive. This place at night could be a date place since they have a nice fireplace area. If you don't have a date, just come in for lunch on a Saturday, it will be worth it. read more

My favorite salad ever is the chicken and avocado salad. I used to live next door to this place in 2012. Worked on the strip and would come and eat my salad 3-4 X a week after work. I Moved 40 minutes away and have come back and ordered the salad so many times specifying how amazing the garlic ranch dressing is and if it's the same recipe? They always say yes it's the same recipe so I order it and ask for extra dressing tip the cook an extra $10 the server $20 and the bartender at least $40. Pay for the food even if I lose hundreds only to come home to the wrong dressing. Might seem petty but if you're going somewhere specifically for a salad because of the dressing and are told you're getting that dressing only to lose a bunch of money tip a bunch of money and pay for something you didn't want well then you should come to Fireside. read more

One of the places close by my place I frequent with my sister and friends. Very conveniently located by my neighborhood so if I have had too much to drink I could just walk home lol. Food are great but the staffs/bartenders are always awesome. They pretty much know us already being there quite often. I've met some good people just sitting there at the bar playing some games while sipping on some drinks just chilling. Definitely recommend coming here even being by yourself or with a couple group of friends. read more

Attractive bright meeting room adjacent to super dark bar/dining room. Attentive bartenders at 1:00 on a Monday for lunch. Almost nobody in the place; three other patrons. Decent Reuben sandwich and fries--about the quality you would expect from a good neighborhood bar. A little pricey, but not obscene -- $20 lunch. Another reviewer complained that this place is stuck in the '90s. That isn't untrue (the Galaga machine in the corner contributes to this feeling), but I actually find that part of the place's appeal. I like this tavern. The food and drinks here are quite good and the price is stellar for what you get. I like that there isn't a pungent smoke essence in the bar even though people are allowed to smoke here. I used to come down here once in a while back when I worked in hospitality, but now I visit for a hangout with a good friend or two. Friendly staff and the wait is never that bad to get some service. I like the array of seating inside because it does not feel as congested as some other smaller bars I have been to. The front door is unmarked, and when you walk in, it is DARK!! It seemed a little sketchy, and we almost walked out, but thankfully, we found a room over to the left that had windows. Lol. Made a huge difference. The food and service were great. The Bison Blue Cheese burger was a bit spicy for me, but with a little ranch, it cooled it off enough and was yummy. Game two of NBA Final's....Ahh who cares anyways we came to Fireside for some great beers with pizza in mind and good times. We found everything we were looking for at Fireside Tavern. We left my buddies local watering hole because of mediocre beer choices and average food offering's of burgers and sandwiches and just short car ride away to end up here. A little dark when you first walk in because of the scorching Nevada sun, I nearly walked into the wall upon entering. After taking a moment to adjust the eyes to the cave like feel with rich mahogany wood blanketing the bar and seating areas. We were greeted by an attractive friendly bar tender who then chased us away from the bar because we were not gaming. Fine with me I would rather sitting in one of the large wrap around booths surrounding the bar with a better view of the game and no smoke from the continuous chain of tabacco being ignited. After checking out the menu my friend and I decided to go with what we came for which was a large cheese and pepperoni pizza. The rest of the menu look great as well serving some hearty dishes with choices of steak and seafood. The pizza came out quickly and was bubbling hot. Our server had prepared us prior to its arrival with plates and jars of crushed red pepper and parm to top this magnificent pizza with. Everything about this pie was what I was looking for in this meal. I give the pizza a high rating of 4.5 out of 5 for sure. I think I also found my friend a new watering hole near his home. Another great thing about Fireside is the above average beer choices. I love great flavorful beer, not foaming rice water like AB, Mill, or Coors. I also prefer to buy local if that choice is available. Fireside carries Joseph James which is brewed in Henderson, NV. If I need to help tap a few kegs to support my neighbor, I am all for it. Keep the money flowing in our communities if possible. Why support August Busch IV I think they are doing just fine. At Fireside they have over 20 beers on tap many that of great quality and different brew syles like IPA, Chocolate Stout, Red, Lager, Wheat, and Pils. If you are in Henderson I recommend stopping by Fireside Tavern for some great pizza, beer and service. I know I will be back even though it is 30 miles from home. read more

This visit started with a call to the restaurant to see if we needed reservations, we got one for the time it took to drive over, the woman that answered was not friendly and seemed bothered that we called. When we arrived we saw the sign in the pic below. We were seated immediately in a booth. There were a few other tables but not real busy. When we ordered our drinks from our waitress I was guessing it may have been her that answered the phone, not much of a personality and seemed bothered to have to work. We got our drinks and ordered our food. As the food came out, my wife got a salad, no dressing was with it so the waitress had to go get it, it took a while for her to finally return. Then meal arrived and she didn't get a steak knife, sour cream, butter or salt and pepper for the baked potato, which the waitress said she would bring back, probably 8-10 minutes it showed up at the table, meanwhile the medium ordered steak was bleeding all over the plate, not even close to how it was ordered. Went last night after work with a friend and had a bite to eat and a couple drinks. First time for both of us. Drinks were awesome with a heavy pour, but not to the point it was too strong to drink. Our waitress Carla was AMAZING. Super attentive, friendly, and gave great recommendations. We sat over by the fireplace/lounge area because it was less smokey and the ambiance was great. I had the fish & chips and my friend had the fish tacos, both made with cod. The fries are amazeballs with the perfect crunch, and the fish batter wasn't thick at all and was perfect. The only thing I would suggest is the fish & batter could use some seasoning. It was definitely on the bland side, but the malt vinegar I used helped with that. Coleslaw was ok, but I'm not a big fan of it anyways. Huge portions of fish which was nice. Loved the vibe and will definitely be back. Ask for Carla when u go. She was the best! read more

Not sure what happened on this visit.... I used to love the chicken tenders, they used to be large plump pieces of chicken that were juicy and really good. This time I got three relatively good size pieces but they looked like they were pounded flat and were over cooked. They were hard from being over cooked and why pounded flat and not juicy at all, made this visit not worth the price. I was not planning on writing a Yelp review today, but this place was so awesome I had to! I am so glad that I stumbled upon this restaurant online while looking for open restaurants on Thanksgiving night. I ordered the T-bone steak and the side burger to go. When I got home, I was amazed at how large the steak was...enough to feed 2 people! The steak and burger were cooked to perfection and the hostess was super nice. The staff included a separate to-go container with sooooo many condiments (ketchup, A1, mayo, mustard, napkins, salt, pepper, wet naps...you name it).
