My experience with Doctor Lim last 2022 was horrible when i had my porcelain crown on my upper part was not good.When i smile it looks that the crown is not even And i tried to return and fixed it but she refused that's why I'm not satisfied and very upset.Even before the procedure she wants me to pay Cash but i told her i Have my FSA or Flexible spending account so I don't recommend her for doing crowns read more

Dr. Lim spent so much time with my kids, especially with my younger one who needed to get his first cavity filled. I wouldn't recommend coming here. A lot has changed, it's impossible to get an answer on the phone, impossible to get a phone call back to all or any messages left for the office, they're always running late, time spent on cleaning is really rushed and the dental assistants just are not gentle. I used to see Dr Lim but now she just stops by for what feels like a second and doesn't seem to care nor have time to genuinely answer concerns. Also their hours have changed, they're barley open. I tried to reach out to them several times after my last visit but false promises I'd hear back...never did. read more

My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Lim for many years and have always found her to be an excellent dentist. Recently my father-in-law (who has been neglecting his teeth and not seen a dentist in a LONG time) suddenly developed an excruciating toothache. Even though my father-in-law is not Dr. Lim's patient, we called her and she offered to squeeze him in to her schedule that very day. Dr. Lim was so nice to my father-in-law and was able to relieve his pain immediately. I feel extremely grateful that Dr. Lim is not only a highly capable dentist but also has a heart of gold. Excellent experience at Dr Lim's office! I was nervous about my 3 yo's first dental exam, but I was wrong! Dr Lim made my daughter very comfortable, explained every tools to her, and got her involved to help out. The staff and Dr. Lim managed to get 2 x-ray, teeth exam and cleaning. All done with no tears! My daughter couldn't be happier after she left with a goodie bag of cute hello kitty tooth brush set and eyeball candies for Halloween. The only down side is getting Saturday appointments, which I could understand because Dr. Lim is pretty awesome! read more

Went to Dr. Janet LIm for my regular cleaning, for some reason my jaw locked up on one side she was able to provide a technique to release the lock jaw and continue with the cleaning and she showed me how to ease up my jaw from stress. Like most people I don't care for the dentist. I went to her last week not only is she reasonably priced she is caring. She told me things that I needed to know about not just caring for my teeth but for my gums as well. All the other dentist I have been to never mentioned the things I should be doing for gum care. I need to go back for a filling this will be the big test for me, I don't like getting the shots to numb my mouth so I am hoping the other yelpers are right and it will be PAINLESS!!. read more

Clean, modern, upscale looking office. Front desk staff is very nice. Dr Lim is the best dentist I have met in many years. I have called at least 15 dental offices recently and most of the time when I called I never made an appointment because the person on the phone is rude or incompetent which gives me a bad impression right away. Or the office practices prove money is all they are concerned about. I liked that I got my own TV screen mounted on a flexible arm to watch while she worked on my teeth which even had Closed Captioning so I wouldn't miss anything when the drill was on. Okay, so yes, I am a very particular person. I look for quality overall - tidiness, professionalism, calm and posh. I've been bouncing back and forth from my family dentist since I was a young girl, and I tell you, it is not fun anymore when you see your dentist and every display around the office caters to kids (stickers, lollipops and all). Although I love him to pieces, I have outgrown the chaos and crowded waiting room. Alas, after researching I found my kind of Dentist and practice. The serene atmosphere, feng-shui, tidy and modern interior, and I can't forget to mention that the property is owned by Dr. Janet Lim, and there is a parking lot. It is not shared with other tenants in the building because it is solely for her practice/office. I've been seeing Dr. Janet Lim for about 3 years now and she's been a pleasure to have as my dentist and a friend. She has a calming aura, caring and friendly. Most importantly, she is gentle and light on her hands. Each room has its own TV and Music that can be turned off or on to your comfort. Everything is clean and modern! I have to say, that it is refreshing that she does not overbook, and each time I have my visits, there is never anyone in the waiting room. It's like perfectly timed, always! I come in, I sit for less than 5 minutes, someone leaves, then it's my turn. Impeccable scheduling job by her front desk manager Dorothy, who is very sweet by the way. The synergy within her practice to me is flawless. I was hesitant to post a review because I don't want her to be jammed pack with new patients (yes, I want her to myself), but after knowing her for 3 years, I am confident that Dr. Lim and her staff won't let that happen since she is not about quantity, she is quality. Oh and lastly, I forgot to mention she was awarded #1 two years in a row (I forgot which, but you can see it in the waiting room, it's from a prominent organization). Had a cleaning today. I was happy that I came here. When I sought a new dentist out I was worried about cost because I'm self employed. The problem is, is that I'm met with my strong belief of "you get what you pay for". I'm really happy because it ended up being worth it. It is on the pricey end, but you are paying for quality, along with Dr Lim's vast knowledge of her profession, education and experience. I have a few things that I need to take care of, so I'm getting a tad nervous about what all I will need, but in the end they aren't going to fix themselves. Not sure how does Dr Lim receive excellent reviews. I went in the first time for an exam and cleaning back in January 2014. The first impression of the office is that the music is super loud and it's at a point I feel uncomfortable. I asked to turn down the music, the volume was turn down in my treatment room but still way loud in the general office area. I let it go because maybe that's how the Dr likes it. You do whatever you like at your own practice. I decided not to continue my treatment with Dr Lim after the initial visit. Recently, I started to have teeth sensitivities especially when I drink cold water. I went to anther Dentist on 8/26 and they took an xray of effective tooth. The new dentist told me I need a root canal because the decay is so big and so close to the root. And also I need a crown because I will loss a big portion of my tooth. I want make sure that's the only way to save my tooth, so I went for a second option. I confirmed that Root Canal is the only way I can go. I asked my new dentist to review my old film from Dr Lim, to see if the decay was already there when I visited Dr Lim back in January 2014. And there is a obvious shadow on my tooth from the film. Even I am not a Dentist, I can see the difference among all the other teeth. How can you miss this large decay, unless you are not details enough, fresh graduates or You want make more money from me by having the root canal. Nothing can be reverse anymore, but I want warn you fellow Old or New patients, be careful with this Dr, you don't want end up like me to have a root canal because the tooth can't be save anymore.. It's been over ten years since we first met Dr. Lim. My 7 year old started orthodontic treatment (an expander) last month. To make a long story short, we had a dental emergency over the weekend, a piece of food got stuck between his expander and gum! and it swelled badly! I called Dr. Lim and she responded in 9 minutes! 9 MINUTES!!! Not to mention it was a Sunday evening 6:30! She asked me to take my child to her office right away and when we got there at 7:00, she's already at the office waiting for us! I can not thank her enough for what she have done for us!!! I live in San Jose. I drive 45 miles each way to see Dr Janet Lim because I trust her works. She is very skillful and diligent in handling the process. I do not feel any sensitive pain at my every 6 months clean up or filling. More importantly she cares about you by listening carefully about your concerns, educating you, and providing solutions to you. We came to visit dr Lim for the first time and I also brought my kids and we were very happy we did She is a very nice lady and her stuff is very nice We had a really bad experience going to bronzing dental in millbrae and when I found out about dr lim I was very happy. She is very gentle and takes her time to explain everything and what treatment she will be doing. I found Dr. Lim on Yelp. She is so far the best dentist I have seen. The clinic is tidy and clean. I like the little things that the Dr. Lim does, like putting a shade over my eyes, and Vaseline over my lips before starting a procedure. I asked her if I should whiten my teeth, her recommendation is no because it can make my teeth sensitive. I like Dr. Lim a lot because I know she is not there for the money.
