Her entire team is friendly, professional, & efficient. She referred me to an implant specialist, Dr. Sy at SF Bay Oral Surgery. He put in a post & Dr Liao added the crown. Several years later I could not be happier. And this month I chipped a front tooth & she quickly filled in the bottom of the tooth, matching the tooth color perfectly. I was really disappointed with the patient care I received around Nov 2024. As a returning client, I unfortunately forgot I had an appointment. When Jackie Liao from the front desk called, she spoke to me with a noticeably harsh and unprofessional tone, asking where I was. I apologized sincerely and explained it was an honest mistake, but she responded with clear frustration and no compassion. Don't come here for a major work like a crown. I've had multiple adjustments (3) and one from another dentist. Dr. Liao did not listen and was quick to blame me and the initial adjustments. The crown was too tall and caused me severe headaches & jaw pain because they were done in haste. Squeezed me into one appointment though I asked for them done in different sessions. I was convinced it'd be okay. Hence, the fillings and crown were done in 1 appointment and I was in great pain and the crown was not fitted properly and had to be corrected 3 times. read more

I haven't seen a dentist since March last year - I know disgusting right and I was so terrified what I might learn as a result. I'm on a new dental plan so I had to find a new dentist. I saw the reviews for Kimberly and decided to try it out. The location is a bit odd, it's on Grand Ave in downtown South San Francisco in the same building as Dead Eye Coffee and Armstrong Brewing. You walk down the hallway of the building to find her dental office on the right hand side. The place has very new equipment which I was not use to. I guess my old dentist must have been using out-dated stuff. But the technology here looks very up to date. Kimberly does a very thorough job of examining and cleaning, she also communicates with you very openly with what she is doing and observing. She is also very nice. Personally, I hate going to the dentist. My teeth are in good shape but I have sensitive gums and it hurts and I don't usually like the odd smell of dental offices. I still don't necessarily like going to the dentist but if I have to go anywhere I'm glad it's here. read more

From someone who's had some dental anxiety the last decade or so, I have truly encountered a renaissance and passion in my dental health because of the fabulous Dr. Kim and her amazing staff. Not that I didn't brush or floss regularly, but I always postponed the bi-yearly appointments at other offices. I actually want to see the dentist now! Dr. Kim is super personable, professional, and makes you feel at ease no matter what the procedure. She is very skillful, but at the same time, it's like old friends catching up. I have caught myself falling asleep a few times in her chair because she has "soft hands". Dr. Liao is awesome. I used to see her at her Daly City location and now that she has her own spot even closer to my house, its even more convenient to go see her. Her office is very nice and modern and everything in there is brand spankin new! Aside from the aesthetics of the office, Dr. Liao is very personable and down to earth - not like some of those snotty, know-it-all, entitled type of doctors. She has given me fillings and taken X-rays, and keeps me up to date when I just need my standard cleanings. She also has kids and loves when I bring my 4 month old in to see her. Best dentist in South City! Dr. Kim Liao and her team are beyond great. I have seen Dr. Kim and Kat for two regular check-ups/cleanings now as well as deep cleaning and a few fillings. It had been years since I had seen a dentist since I've had bad experiences with other dentists in the area. During the cleanings/treatments, they are talking to you every step of the way and are really gentle. She really cares about her patients' dental health and gives you good advice on how to keep up your dental hygiene.
