We drove from Oakley to have her do our photos, her studio is perfect and she has everything. Which is worth it because I for one am forgetful which I forgot to bring our diaper bag! Thankfully Karen came to the rescue with diapers. She has all the cute and fun things to make your photos meet your vision and then some. All my kids are rainbow babies and the rainbow photo has 7 hearts which is how many angels we have and Karen came up with the idea of adding an extra heart to make it mean more. Which made me start to tear up, our last miracle rainbow baby showed the love to not only his big sisters but to his siblings in heaven. I knew right away she'd be a perfect fit for capturing my niece, both in her cap and gown and in her super colorful prom dress (which I was confident Kree could do justice!). The day started at our hotel, where she jumped between our separate rooms to capture my wife and me getting ready. Before she had even gotten to our rooms, she had already scouted the perfect location for our first look. The moment was absolutely incredible, and she handled everything; we didn't have to do a thing but follow her lead. That professional confidence continued at City Hall. She has a masterful familiarity with the building. She took full control of the shoot, guiding us as she told us exactly where to stand, how to pose, and where to move next so we could just relax and enjoy the moment. As a photographer myself, I really appreciated her confidence and professionalism. All we had to do was follow instructions and be present. She knows San Francisco City Hall inside and out -- the lighting, the angles, the timing, and the key locations that truly matter -- every shot felt deliberate and it showed. We received around 300 images, and the quality is so consistent that I plan to print every last one of them in large format to ensure we have a permanent physical archive. Honestly I was so exhausted by the time we got to the actual photoshoot, I don't remember much of it. It felt like I was on autopilot. But the entire time, I knew I could trust Leigh Ann. I knew she'd capture amazing photos, so I let go of all the pressure and expectations, and just watched her interact with my girls. She knew what to say to get them to smile, to run up to me with glee, and she was SO SO SO patient. She also has an amazing eye and got really creative, beautiful photos of us with the sunset.
