I asked around for recommendations for a tree service and was told that Wolford Tree Service was the best. The last week in February 2023, from the backyard they removed two pine trees/ground the stumps, trimmed/shaped a huge red oak back from the deck and gazebo, and trimmed back a maple tree hanging over the garage and fence. Along the street, they trimmed/cleaned up three maple trees that were extremely messy. In the time since their work, we have had several very significant wind events and I have only had a few twigs to pick up. The recommendation I received from my neighbor was spot on. This company was recommended by my insurance for a build back after water damage due to a frozen…read morebusted pipe in January. They came out to give an estimate and I thought they were very thorough and I agreed with the estimate. We proceeded with the project. I wasn't impressed with the initial crew that handled the painting, dry wall, and flooring. Touch ups and redos were required. The busted pipe was from a second floor shower above a laundry room that is adjacent to the garage. The area gets cold. The plumber recommended a vent in the ceiling to allow heat from the laundry room to flow into the area. They installed said vent, but then covered it with insulation resulting in no flow. I requested the insulation be cut twice. Apparently, it was never cut. I was supposed to be given a new broom since mine disappeared from the garage. Never received. An old light fixture taken out of the ceiling was requested to be kept. They took it. They kept unplugging a freezer in the garage to plug up their equipment. Another gentleman finished the job by installing the cabinets in the laundry room and and bar area. He did custom shelves and dryer vent cut outs in the bar. His work was great. He fixed some areas that the first crew missed. Less than six months after completion of the project, I'm dealing with water damage from frozen pipes in the same area. I can't help but to wonder if this could've been prevented if the insulation didn't cover the vent. I also wonder if enough insulation was used in the area considering the history. Very frustrating.
