This is my go-to Booze shop to swing by after work, mostly because it's right next to Publix. It's small, has limited selection, and prices are average for the area. The reason I keep going here is for the surprise picks they make. The top shelf stuff is close to the register and I found a Booker's Bourbon limited batch. It was amazing, reasonably priced, and couldn't be found in Abc stores. They stay open during lockdowns, hurricanes, and after Grace family church lets out! Sure you can go to Total wine and more and find hundreds of booze choices, But Isn't it better to support Local? Do yourself a favor and swing by and grab a bottle. You gotta stock up for Wave 7 of Covid, it's gonna be a doozy.... Lmao! read more

I see folks rating it low and yea I suppose but on Saturday nights they have a pretty cool Karaoke scene going on and it's a lot of fun and drinks aren't too pricey and sure it's a hole in the wall (The other half of a liquor store) but it's a lot of fun on Saturday's too! read more

So during Hurricane Irma, or actually right before the storm was going it hit, most of the local businesses were closed or just freaking out that this storm was coming. I get it but we must be calm in these situations. Most people I spoke with were looking for a liquor store for last minute boose to get "relaxed" during the storm. I drive into the shopping center and see this hilarious sign "Open for boose". I loved it and immediately parked the car to check it out. Seemed like the only store open before the storm hit us. I had also never been to this store either and my fiance stated to check them out to see if they were open, plus they are 5 minutes from our house. I go in and check out what they had and saw a great gift for my father in law, just something to cheer him up and relax before the storm, Lemon Chello! Had a good supply of liquor but no ice, and that was expected because everyone bought it before the storm. Nice lady behind the counter told me that they will be open late and they were here for us, even during a hurricane! Now why can't every store be like this??? Reasonably priced, good selection and friendly. I would definitely recommend them. read more

I absolutely love this little place. On when you enter on the left side it is a small bar with no food and the right side is a liquor store with a wide variety of various alcoholic beverages to include beer and wine. In the center by the bar there is a small refrigerated display case with a few different unique cheeses and meats. They will sell you this and you can eat it while you are having your cocktails or wine. Another thing is that you can go next door to Publix and get a sandwich or snacks or order something in from one of the stores in the little shopping mall and eat it while you're inviting and an alcoholic beverage. This is such a foreign concept most places are ridiculous and if they don't have alcohol they want to charge you a $9 corkage fee and try and make money anyway they can. Here at Jan's wine and boos, it's a totally different story. They want their customers to relax and enjoy and have a good time. Because of their concept towards our customers is why you return and winter and in return. You always feel comfortable, welcomed and appreciated. This is my type of place kind of laid back and relax while also being an independent. What's a girl to do? Return to the places that you feel comfortable and can relax. read more

Would give it a zero if possible Boyfriend and I went in to buy liquor I was paying for it I'm clearly the younger of the 2 and before I had a chance to pull out my id the lady came flying across the store telling the cashier to "group id" mind you we are a mixed race couple I'm white he is black we do believe this was a racial situation since both I and my boyfriend have worked in stores where we sold alcohol and the only time you id both people is if you suspect they are buying for a younger person my boyfriend began to ask her questions and not in a rude fashion at all bye the end of the conversation she says under her breath at my boyfriend "well I'm not going to jail for some stupid s***" so not only was she incredibly rude but she was way out of line we never raised our voice or were offensive so why were we treated in such a way ? 'm 31 years old, but look about 25, and since I work from home, I'll occasionally look a little scruffy during the day. On the day that I visted this store for the first and only time, it was a scruff day, and the representative behind the counter was a well groomed grey haired women who looked similar to Sherry W., fellow reviewer. It was a little before noon on a friday, and I was looking to see if there was any interesting selections of wine or liquor, as one might do anticipating a little time off, but from the first moment I walked in I felt unwelcome. The women behind the counter looked me from head to toe, as if she was sizing me up for some reason, this was a look I don't think I've gotten since I was a teen walking in to Tiffany's on 5th Ave wearing a Metallica shirt. She kept an almost obsessive watch over me, as I walked through the 30 x 10 hallway of a store. Then just as I was about to make my decision about my purchase, I get scolded for stepping over some boxes that were left on the floor, being told, "they are on the floor for a reason", what ever that means. I'm assuming this experience was because of my appearance, but maybe she just has a bad attitude. Either way, I will not be returning to that store, even though I typically try to support local businesses as much as possible despite the typical price premium. Most mom and pop shops will offer a level of customer service and hospitality rarely found in the ABC's of the world but this location had the trifecta of over priced product, mediocre selection, and poor service that defines a business as being BAD!!! read more
