Jared..... Where to begin..... First off, I have a history of bad experiences with the company in general, however there are limited places that also do on-site repairs. My bad history begain in 2009 in South Portland, ME and I am still dealing with issues from that same experience. We brought my wife's custom wedding ring in to have it sized and cleaned. When we went to pick it back up, there was significant perocity observed where they sized the ring and it looked very dirty. We were told that they were going to fix the issue from the sizing and that they would dip the white gold portions in rhodium to make it shine again. One week later, we go to pick the ring up, and the same perocity is there, but now it is worse. The entire piece now looked like tarnished silver. After much discussion and us pointing out the new issues by holding the ring against pictures of what we brought in, they finally acknowledged that the perocity would not improve and that they dipped the ring into a bad batch of rhodium!! At this point, the ring was sent out to their corporate shop to attempt to recover the piece...... with no luck. The store manager then refused to deal with us anymore and said that the district manager would be in contact. After 2 months of back and forth with the district manager, it was decided that Jared would replace the ring with something of equivalent value from their store. My wife and I returned to the store where we were greeted by the assistant manager (as the manager still refused to deal with us). We walked the store looking for something similar, which was not to be found. We were shown an enhancer that would not match the original band that was destroyed or my wife's engagment ring. The assistant manager offered to move the head off of the original engagement ring to a new ring and that would be included so that my wife would have a matched set. We agreed to this. One week later, we returned and picked uo her new set and we assumed that our issues were done.... they were not. The first time we noticed an issue, we went into a different Jared for their complimentary inspection and cleaning and we could not be located in their computer system. We were denied the inspection and cleaning due to this even though they verified that the pieces themselves came from Jared. Fast forward to our 10 year wedding anniversary and I decided to upgrade the diamond on the engagment ring from a cluster to a solid stone. We had the work done in Texas where we lived at the time at a local jeweler and it came out stunning. One year later and my wife got the head of the ring caught and it pulled off of the ring. I decided to bring it into the local Savannah Jared as her family was visiting the next week so we wanted a quick turnaround. Once again, what a mistake.... I was quoted $73.99 and a 2 hour turnaround. I agreed to this and authorized the work to be performed. Around half an hour from when the ring was to be ready, I receive a phone call and am told that they cannot perform the work (that they originally quoted while looking at the ring in the repair shop) and instead of re-soldering the head back on, I would need to purchase an entirely new setting from them (for $150 plus the $73.99 fee) for the stone to be re-attached. I did not authorize the work and said that I would be right back up. Within 15 minutes I was walking back through the door at Jared and I went to the repair center. I spoke to a pleasant servive associate from the retail side and explained that I would like a further expanation as to why the work could not be performed. She stated that the manager that had called (just 15 minutes before) was gone for the day. I asked if I could speak to anyone else regarding why the work could not be performed as quoted and was told that no, I could only speak to him. At this point, the poor associate is trying to upsell me with a "trade in" of the original ring. The issue with this is that the original location never entered it into the POS, so a "trade in" is not possible. I would be on the hook for the entire amount versus the discounted rate for giving them the original replacement. Long story short, I have now vowed to NEVER purchase anything again from Jared and will tell this full story to anyone that I can. read more

Took my engagement ring to this Jared's for resizing after TERRIBLE service at the St Johns town center location in Jacksonville and I'm so glad I did. Wonderful customer service, all of the employees were friendly and kind. My ring was done on walk-in and was finished within a couple hours. They ran overtime a little and were very apologetic and made my fiancé and I feel comfortable in store to wait around. Really good experience and will be returning to get my ring cleaned this month! read more

I purchased an engagement ring in Oct 19 for my son. At the time of purchase, the sales associate (I think she mentioned she was one of the managers) said she had a ring that was currently on sale. At the time she showed me a sticker price of $2500+ and stated she was letting it go for $900+ including warranty. What she didn't say was that it was pre-owned. I didn't realize it until my son received the ring with all paperwork and it was on the receipt. While it as a beautiful ring, I was just wondering if it is common practice to sell a customer jewelry without mentioning it was pre-owned. I've made many purchases from Jared and not once has this happen before. Again, just wanted to know if this is common practice. If so, I think it is something that should be changed. Had a great experience at Jarred. Went to buy wedding bands and the saleswoman (Gabrielle) was personable, patient and extremely knowledgeable. We also had my engagement ring repaired, and they had it ready in a couple of hours. They show you your diamond under a microscope both before they take it back for repair and when you pick it up. That certainly eased my mind about leaving my antique diamond ring in their custody. It felt like a boutique jeweler experience, and I expect it would no matter how much (or how little) you were spending! read more

My first time experience was great when I order my online purchase I received it at the store in two days they text me and sent me an e-mail to let me know that's real good their customer service was great friendly and they made me feel at ease my order was right and the price was good I was very happy and pleased I will recommend them two family members to my friends and I will talk about them on Facebook thanks jared jewelers. read more

Close your eyes and allow me to take you on a journey into Jarred's. As soon as you walk in Bam there's someone there to greet you and ask you do you need any help? You say no I'm just looking ( you think to yourself I'm old enough to drive so I know how to ask for help) & before you can even complete that thought ,someone else ask you the same exact question. There's a delicate balance people I don't want to feel like I'm on a desert island but I also don't want to bum barred with questions ever two seconds either. Well after seeing that I was not going to be left alone, I threw in the towel and allowed my daughter to pick out something so that we could go. Given more time ALONE I would have brought something for myself but I digress. Their customer service is almost to good for its own good, the store is amazingly beautiful & as I've stated the employees are really nice. I made my third visit to this store today to buy a piece of jewelry for my wife. I have purchased several pieces of jewelry here in the past. My first visit here was great. Excellent service, fine selection of jewelry pieces. Second visit: Not as good. Slow service with less selection. Today I entered the store, which was not overly busy. I went directly to the counter containing the diamond piece I was planning to buy. No acknowledgement of my presence. I waited for eight minutes before one person noticed me and indicated that I was next. Well, two other people entered the store and were immediately approached by salespersons, leaving me standing there without service. Okay, I could have made a scene and demanded service. Instead, I walked to the entrance and heard a clerk acknowledge an entering customer by saying that she would be with her in a moment. I left after saying "Good luck, I sure didn't get any help here" to the new customer in a voice loud enough for everyone in the store to hear. I will never enter this store again. Then tonight I saw tv commercial by Jared that was offensive to my wife. That's it. We're done with Jared forever. read more
