There service and responsibility to the customer after the sale is pitiful. They have a warranty for their product of once out the door not their problem. It is apparently obvious that face to face encounter or timeliness to emails has zero importance to how they do business, they don't care and you will be treated like your less than a person. I knew what I wanted, and went to the store at lunch time, cash in my wallet, but in casual dress. I was shown what I asked for, but my metal of choice was not in stock. They said they may have ordered what I'm looking for, and could take my contact Info. I didn't feel like a customer they were interested in. No estimate given to me as to when I could expect a call (I'd imagine that Brad,store manager, would have access to the information or could get it for me). I have been in Levys in Savanah the last 2 times we were there on our trip. Both times I was very happy with our experience with them. On our last trip I bought my wife a pair of earrings and a necklace. Both were very expensive and when my wife started complaining later that she was getting a rash from wearing the jewelry I naturally was not happy. At first we thought that Levys didn't care because they did not get back to us but later I found out that they actually did try to contact us but our home phone had an issue and they couldn't leave a message. They are located in the heart of Savannah so if you are traveling they are easy walking distance from many of the hotels. I was fortunate to meet Jim (thank you Sir) when I walked in. One of our favorite ways to relax is walking around the historic and beautiful city of Savannah GA. While walking around today, Levy's Jewelry caught our attention and we walked in. We were immediately greeted by Brad, the manager, and he accessed our desires. We simply told him we were walking around and wanted to just look at their beautiful pieces. He invited us to do so and let us casually gaze around the store. Levy's has the cream of the crop in luxury jewelry. David Yurman, John Hardy; Rolex, Omega and Tag Huer watches. The store is beautifully decorated and the cases are easy to browse. Since there was not many people in the store and Brad wasn't waiting on a guest, I asked him several questions about watches. His knowledge of Rolex and Omega was insightful and helpful. He didn't try to push anything on us- he simply offered insight and willingly to showed us any watch and jewelry piece we wanted to see. Took my heirloom wedding band to Levy last weekend as it had lost one tiny diamond. Was nervous about leaving it but was assured it would be just fine in their safe and that I'd have an estimate by mid week. Called on Wednesday to get that estimate and was told that they had, without my knowledge or permission, shipped the ring to California as their jeweler was on vacation for a month. I would never have authorized sending my valuable ring to another state to a jeweler I had never heard of! I am so upset and disappointed. My fiancé and I are getting married next month so we went to Levys a couple weeks ago and I picked out my wedding band. It was $825. We told them we'd be back in a couple weeks to buy it. We went in last Friday, it was not there anymore they said they had sold it. But they could still order it. We paid 825 plus taxes. My fiancé got a call today (almost a week after ordering) from Levys saying that the price has gone up $200 dollars! And we are expected to pay for it or cancel the order. I'm sorry but if someone has already bought the ring, paid for it in full, it's a done deal. That should be on their end to make up the difference. Never in my life have I heard of such a thing. We have bought from them before and my fiancé family has been very loyal customers to them for years. This has just put a horrible taste in my mouth about Levy jewelers. To loose many customers over this, that should have been taken care of by them in the first place. So now i have to back track on my wedding planning to go find another wedding band! I brought in my engagement ring (stone is from 1700s, setting from 1910s) for repair. I told them not to mess with the engraving, which is important both for sentimental reasons and for determining the ring's history/provenance. They destroyed the engraving and didn't even bother to mention it to me. I am now waiting for them to make a new engraving based on the old one, but unless someone can jump into their time machine and find the person who carved it by hand in 1918, it will not be or look the same. I will never do any business with Levy once I get my ring back. read more
