Ask the Community - Crescent Jewelers

Do you carry replacement watch bands?

Yes we do carry leather watch bands and a few styles in rubber bands.

Hi, do you do same day simple repairs? The post on my silver hoop earring broke off. I have the broken post and would like it reattached. How much will it cost approximately? Thanks in advance!

We do repairs in house. Same day repairs depends on the item. Average turn is 2-3 days and cost $25-35.

Could you look at a few pieces of jewelry found and do you buy jewelry?

Yes of course. When do you want to stop by?

Do you all fix broken necklaces and bracelets?

Yes we do. Average time takes about 3 to 4 days.

Levy Jewelers or Levy's as called by the locals in Savannah has been a mainstay since I was born…read moreand they have have established themselves long before I was born. It would be understandable that they were my first stop in shopping for the perfect gift. Well, last Saturday I decided to pay them a visit. When I walked into the store there were three salespeople standing by chatting to each other which was fine because I was the only one who had walked into the store and no other customers were there at that time. Two of the salespeople saw me, but did not acknowledge me; however, the third person, David immediately greeted me and disconnected himself from the group to warmly welcome me. As I gazed into a few cases, I could see David positioning himself to grab keys while he exchanged some light banter with me. All of this was something that I really appreciated. As he took out a few pieces from the case, I felt as if David had the patience and attention of someone who truly cared about me and my business despite whether or not he knew or believed that I could either afford or would buy anything in that store. This would probably seem like a strange concept for some people; however, I have experienced treatment like that in more times than I care to explain. Yet, David was gracious. I told him that I wanted to check a couple of places before I made my decision. David did not seem annoyed nor did he give me any indication that made me feel as if I had wasted his time. He gave me his card and thanked me for coming to visit. After comparing the quality and price of one other place, I called David to ask him if that piece of jewelry was still available. I asked him to pull them aside and yesterday I returned to make that purchase. Ironically, the other two sales people who were in the store during my first visit was there to witness me paying for the items they probably thought I never would. If ever you are in the market to buy jewelry, go see David at the mall location.

I was in the immediate Berwick area and needed a new iPhone battery. Was told by a friend Hello…read moreCellular has them and installs. Was glad I did not have to search for a location and drive elsewhere. I walked in and stated my iPhone needed new battery. I had no knowledge of any off-market battery available for iPhones so would never have had a thought to ask, and was not informed of that upon requesting service and absolutely no indication of that. Unknown to me, and w/o any info provided, I assumed a 'new' Apple battery was placed in my phone. I paid and left. I received a message on phone from Apple the second I plugged it in for charging..."non Apple battery". I called Apple support to inquire, and they informed me of their policy and would not repair or even "touch an iPhone with an aftermarket battery", and they suggested I return it because it can and does causes problems. As I used it that evening, it was obvious something was not right in the performance of phone. I noticed the warranty limit on receipt, so after calling the next day, had an appointment set up two days later when a 'skilled person' would be there to swap it out. I was told it had to be ordered. Another trip back in...all "convenience" already void...supposed new Apple battery was installed. I inquired why I was not informed or given a choice about Apple battery at first visit. The very nice employee told me that "THERE USED TO BE A SIGN ON THE COUNTER...I DON'T KNOW WHAT HAPPENED TO IT." Immediately that evening i knew something wasn't right...battery ran very, very low w/minimal use! I tried charging it several nights, I always start charge before retiring and is completely charged in the a.m.. It charged, but again started losing charge right away and lost all charge by evening. I am not a frequent phone user all day at all. I have found no e-mail address to get my message in over the weekend, and there is no also voicemail available to leave a message. I will try when store opens at 10:00 and so hopefully won't have to make TWO MORE trips! I ended up paying $160.00 for an Apple battery that is faulty and does not work. Have never had this happen. Pretty bad and extremely inconvenient and time-consuming. Just the facts. I will update review.
