However, that was not my experience on April 16, 2026. The first half of my visit went smoothly. My cleaning and X-rays were completed in a timely manner, but I was told at the beginning of my appointment--and again after my cleaning--that the dentist would be available in 10-15 minutes. Despite this, I waited approximately 30 minutes after my cleaning was complete. During that time, I observed the dentist see a patient who had arrived after me before attending to my appointment. My appointment was scheduled for 2:30 PM, and by 3:30 PM I had completed everything except the dental exam. By 4:00 PM, after continued delays and no clear update, I chose to leave. I understand that delays can happen, but being told multiple times to expect a short wait, only for it to extend significantly--and to see another patient taken ahead of me--was frustrating and disappointing. Unfortunately, due to this experience, I do not plan to return as a patient.

A big thing for me is that I have never had an issue of being charged incorrectly on my insurance. Plenty of times there seems to be a problem with insurance and what is covered but they get it right at Audubon. I do appreciate that they go over what is covered and it provides me with edification of what I have as being covered. They also do not try to upsell you on unnecessary procedures because it is "recommended". Overall, it is a good place if you are just looking for cleaning and the routine twice a year exam. I cannot speak about anything like tooth removal or any other dental procedures. Actually, I am glad that I do not have experience avoiding getting in those situations.

Sadly, my experience has gone downhill so badly that I can no longer stay quiet. I have been in pain since July. After an extraction and multiple return visits, Audubon kept doing x-rays, finding nothing, and billing me--while I continued to report pain. It took months before I was finally sent to a specialist, who instantly found the problem: a cracked tooth. Something Audubon's dentists should have caught much earlier. Things got worse when my dentist was on vacation. I was in severe pain, and I was told another dentist in the office would help. Instead, that dentist refused to treat me and told the office manager to just schedule me with my regular dentist--two weeks later! Imagine being told to "just wait" when you can't eat on either side of your mouth and have already been suffering for months. Thankfully, I found another dentist on my own. They saw me the very next day, diagnosed the problem correctly, and scheduled me for treatment this week. That's how dental care is supposed to work. To be fair, the office manager Julie was kind and tried to help, but she had no support from the dentists. The failure is with the dentists and with Audubon's system of care. Bottom line: I can no longer trust this practice. The negligence, lack of compassion, and repeated dismissal of my pain is unacceptable. If you value timely and competent care, look elsewhere. A shame because I know they can do better!

The first time, it didn't fit so they raised the tip over the teeth to a vertical position which cut into my gum. The second time, it was so tight that it hurt. I have a high tolerance to teeth pain. I always have them drill without Novocain. So when I say, "it hurt", I meant it. It was so tight that the nurse couldn't even take it out. The doctor had to use a lever bar to pop it out. I asked for my money back. They kept half of the deposit and billed the insurance. Stay away....

I recommend this office to all my friends and family! I'm going to be sad when I move again and have to find a new dentist, but honestly I'd travel back up here for their service. My physician even provided lab reports to support his recommendation. Dr. Greenstein once suggested it would not be cost effective to do a bridge bridge work based on his perception of my life expenctancy. As if he were concened about the cost to me. For cleaning, x-rays, and exams, this guy can pull it off adequately. If you have anything thing beyond the basics, well, good luck.

After ONLY THE CLEANING. They tried to bully me into getting a bite wing x-ray. I haven't gotten one in over 5 years because I have very pronounced Torus mandibularis under my tongue. The first women said that the orbital x-ray was not working. And said she would numb my Torus mandibularis. I said no because I would be in pain and scratched gum for days afterward. We can do it another day. Then she said she would get the doctor. The doctor said the same thing but would put gauze in my mouth to help with scratching. I said NO again Then she brings in the Office Manager they told me I should have the Torus mandibularis removed and would refer me to an oral surgeon. And I looked at her like was/is stupid. FUNNY I thought my mom died 4 years ago and I am 65 years old. When I said No AGAIN, then she told me that I would never be seen in Clinton Dental again if I did not do the bitewing x-ray. The lie about the dentist would lose her license if I did not take the x-ray. That was the most ridicules thing. Internet look up, they have done that there for YEARS, and I know how to ask another dentist. It took everything in me to just say okay and walk out. I can't wait to call delta Dental and to post this right under my last referral on Next door. Please prepare my file with my last orbital x-ray and send me a message so that I can pick it up.
