I am the Office and Marketing Manager for a local architecture firm; as we approached the 25th anniversary of the firm being in business, I was tasked with planning the party. We were expecting about 150 people in attendance, and the event was only for two hours. We wanted food that would be easy to manage, as we mostly had just standing tables. After tasting a couple of catering options in the "Near Southside" area of Fort Worth where our headquarters is located, I was less than impressed. With Fort Worth's history of being a "good ole' boys town", the idea that we "keep things local" is much advertised, which is the feedback I received, but when the local caterers were not performing, I had to look somewhere else. I found Jared on a community rating site for various services (that of which should not be named) and was instantly impressed. Jared was quick to respond, and answered all of my questions. Since he wasn't local, the only issue we had was figuring out how to taste his cooking. Jared had another event going on at a local university the next week, and decided to drop by with a small sample. This sample was a simple chicken, mashed potatoes, and asparagus platter- nothing of which we would be wanting for our party- but I was intrigued. I cut up the sample and distributed it to my party committee and some of our principals, and we loved it! The food was hot, and the mashed potatoes tasted like Jared had been in the kitchen for hours mashing them by hand. The asparagus was perfectly cooked, as was the chicken. I was sold! We put a down payment on the date and anxiously waited. On May 11th, the day of our event, Jared showed up early to make sure that we were prepared, then he began to set up his spread. We had wanted a variety of cheeses, crackers, fruits, and some light entrees, so Jared came up with a marble slab display (very earthy and beautiful) and he placed two of the entrees in small martini glasses (shrimp and grits, artichoke dip...yum!) which were perfect for walking around and conversing with. My photo does not do this spread justice, but I have submitted it :) After the event, Jared and his bartender cleaned their area and even helped us pack away any extras that were left over. This catering service is truly "full service". We are elated to have found JaredPierre Private Chef & Catering to cater the celebration of our 25th Anniversary and we plan on using him in the future. If anyone is looking for a good chef, I recommend Chef JaredPierre. He just prepared a prime rib dinner for 12 for my husband's birthday and then he prepared a complete Thanksgiving dinner for 12 less than a week later. He made the pies and a giant crème brûlée birthday cake that not only tasted incredible but looked more like a sculpture than a cake! He is a talented chef with the sweetest personality. We used Chef Jared for a private dinner in our home for two. The food, particularly the appetizer and main course, was pretty good, although the cake was a little dry and the veggies a little bitter. The purée was amazing. Having said that, we were disappointed he charged $600 for what we thought was going to be a 3.5-hour dinner based on his website content. However, we were not even finished with the second course when he brought the dessert to us, sat it on the table with our near-empty main course plates, and asked if we needed anything else. Of course we said no. He left our home 2 hours and ten minutes after arrival. He left our home before we even touched dessert, but he cleaned up well and was professional. As leftovers, he left with us two side dishes that he served with the main course (one, the purée was DELICIOUS), but for some reason he took the leftover steak and dessert with him. When we asked via text about why he took only part of the leftovers with him, he did not text back. By the way, the steak was initially cooked rare (we had previously requested medium rare), but at our request he cooked it to medium rare by putting it back into oven. Ultimately, while it was dark on the outside bcause he had baked it already sliced, it ended up being tender and cooked perfectly. We felt like it could have used a sauce, however. But we ate every bite of that steak and purée! Overall, other than being entirely rushed on our special evening, we thought it was a pretty good experience, even if the veggies and cake weren't perfecto. Chef Jared catered a party of 50 for us at our home this past Christmas. He was an absolute pleasure to work with from start to finish and the food and service were excellent. We had never thrown a party like this before, and Chef really helped guide us in the direction we were looking for. All the guests really enjoyed the passed appetizers and then small plates. The crab cakes were exceptional, and the smoked meatloaf and miso salmon were also crowd favorites. We would definitely recommend Chef Jared Pierre! He's awesome! read more

Great food, great price!! we had JaredPierre cater the Open House for our office - everyone loved the food - the presentation was also amazing...frankly, the food looked and tasted as if it was coming from one of those very expensive personal chefs, except that we did not have to give a kidney in order to pay for it. All in all, the service provided the day of the event was disappointing. Our company wanted to provide a holiday party for our employees with 2 serving times. The first serving time was to begin at 11:00 AM. Even though I was told that the servers were to arrive around 10 or 10:30, they did not arrive until approximately 11:15. Of course they still had to set up and warm the food, so my employees didn't even get served until after 12:15. Additionally, members of our company's admin team had to step in and help serve food because they only left us with one server who was new. I had specifically requested a vegetarian dish to be served with the meal to cater to our employees who did not eat meat. The one vegetarian dish that Jared had proposed did not come with the servers, and I wasn't informed of this until the server was standing before me at 11:15. They merely brought "extra dressing" to substitute, but this was not an ideal substitute. While I had been able to communicate with Jared prior to the event, the communication became somewhat lacking the day of, and despite my attempts to reach him, he has not followed up about any of my concerns that I presented to him. Great job catering my wedding reception of 100 people, many compliments from guests.

Good food, poor service! To start with, as my invoice showed (I was supposed to have free lemonade, tea and water at my wedding) they only brought water. They didn't bring trays to passed around: food, drinks for the toast (staff was passing the cups two at the time, the waiting time for the toast took forever!) neigther for the cake (guests has to go up to the table to grab a piece of cake) Two of my guest came to me criticizing how the staff serving the drinks were drinking while working! My wedding coordinator came and ask me if I want it to keep the food (leftovers) because one of the staff had asked, while going to picked the trays another staff member came and took it stating "sorry nobody told me" and took off (with the food I paid for!!!) not only that, but they were about to take the liquor that we had bought, if it wasn't because my now husband stopped the situation. Pertaining your response: Correction Jared, you had made an unauthorized charge into my card of $250 prior sending your response in Yelp. Then, is not $150, you over charge $100 more than what you had disclosed. read more
