You'll find coffee, tea, baked goods, live music and art, against an eclectic background of gothy-vintagey knick knacks. They have lots of events - haunted goth nights, dirty mic events, poetry, and comedy. They also sell jewelry, crafts and paintings. There are different rooms you can explore, all filled with unique items and art. You can sit indoors or outdoors. I had tea, my friend had coffee, and we shared a baked good that was honestly really delicious. Service is super-friendly. There's a designated parking lot on the side of the building. read more

I've been going to Jarrod's for as long as I can remember, and for many years it was my favorite coffee place in the whole Valley. However, it's really gone downhill the past five years or so. I give them a couple stars for the vibe they're trying for (though their current space feels cluttered and cramped), for being open late, and for their public financial woes. However, if you want courteous, attentive service and at least decent or reasonably priced coffee, don't come here. read more

I stopped in and got a white chocolate latte and their blueberry cheesecake pastry, only to get home and take a bite and find mold inside of the pastry. I absolutely love their chia, it's rich, bold, and full of flavor, and the matcha is truly top tier. The space is filled with artwork and has such cozy, welcoming vibes. My best friend and I came into Jarrod's yesterday for a beading class that was hosted there. Upon arrival, we noticed that parking is a bit difficult. I did not see any actual parking spaces, only street parking. The shop is located in a Historic Home in downtown Mesa, which makes it very unique! We noticed a piano, guitar, microphone- apparently they host lots of performances. Definitely fun for those who enjoy live entertainment. The man at the front counter was friendly. He gave us details on all of the upcoming events, including one that involves Snoop Dogg's dad apparently?? We were also told that they would be hosting a "Dirty Mic" event that evening, which just so happened to take place at the same time as our jewelry class. The drink menu was hand written, hung on the wall near the front counter. There was also a small display shelf off to the side that held some of the baked goods they offer. It was not until after we ordered that we noticed they offer a few breakfast & lunch sandwich options. That would have been nice to know, as we were starving and expecting to have a light dinner before our class. Instead, we settled for a cream cheese danish, as recommended by the guy at the counter. The danish came out on a glass plate, dusted with powdered sugar. It was grocery store quality for sure. I can't remember how much it costed, but would not order again. It was very cold (maybe still defrosting???) I would prefer room temp or even a little warmer. My best friend also got a unsweetened hibiscus iced tea (comes with 1 free refill). She said that it was very good ! I got a medium blended Caramel Kick with whipped cream. The coffee was alright! I probably wouldn't order again, it was $8, which seemed a bit steep compared to other shops in the area. There is plenty of seating inside & outside. However, inside near the front counter is very congested- between people, tables and all of the random decor. There are many rooms that you can go into and enjoy all kinds of artwork, artifacts, and plenty of seating. This gives it a more private feel. This would be a great place to come and catch up with a friend or study (before open mic starts). To be fair, we were forewarned about open mic being "dirty" and completely unfiltered. I see where that is fun for some. However, it did kill the peaceful vibe of our beading class.... All in all, it was a unique experience at Jarrod's. I would never come in here for a cup of coffee or pastry. However, I would possibly come in for an event or as a place to connect with a friend. This place is definitely one of a kind! You can park on the side of the road and walk up to this little house that hosts events on weekends while being a coffee/tea/drink place. I got a chai and it's delicious. The coffee was strong so it wasn't my favorite so be aware if you are a sweet and smooth coffee person. The service was friendly and super informative on this place. We are performing at this spot after hours for the events and it was my first time here, so we decided to come early before they close to patronize the business, and OMG it's sooo cute! The venue is a house converted into a shop (and apparently haunted!!), and the inside is full of awesome decor, local artists work on the wall, vintage chandelier in the living room, an awesome "formal dining room" and kitchen seating area, so there are plenty of spots to sit after ordering from the counter. I also LOVE the bathroom (the decor, the sink, and a perfect mirror for selfies)! They also have vintage and native jewelry and handmade for sale. I ordered the chai oh yeah hot with coconut milk (since Jarrod said they are known for their chai), and an energy drink to get me through the rest of the night for our show! It was well blended and not too "spicy" like some chai can be and just the right amount of sweet. Jarrod is super friendly and I love how he hosts several events after hours on the weekends (comedy shows, live music, etc.). Since it's a house, it's the perfect space for an intimate experience whatever the entertainment is! If you're in the area, you must check out this spot (during daytime hours or for any of the events at night), and if you're not in the area, it's worth the drive! read more

This place is such a gem! I went for lunch and had a chai tea and turkey sandwich. Everything was super delicious and came out quickly. The staff was really nice and the inside was so cool! Super eclectic, artsy and cozy! There were lots of different seating options and I can't wait to come back when it's cooler to sit out on the cute patio. It reminded me of a more hipster Bergie's for those who remember that downtown Gilbert spot. The only thing I would change is the music. I'm not sure if this is typical but they were playing early 2000s pop/hip hop songs pretty loud which seemed a little out of place for a coffee shop but to each their own I guess ‍ I would still highly recommend checking this place out. Stopped in at Jarrod's on a rainy morning and it was just the best! I loved looking at all the gothic, witchy decor and art, I love that it has friendly ghost vibes, which made sense when we learned it's actually a haunted house and has a neat paranormal backstory. As for the coffee, I went with a spiced maple latte, which was beautifully balanced in flavor and not overly sweet but with a definitive maple flavor. My aunt got just a house black coffee and it was superb. They had several pastries to choose from that all looked yummy, but alas we will have to save those for another trip. I love that they have a rentable room on property and are in the process of working to add a venue/entertainment space and some other things to the property. read more

We visited this place on Super Bowl Sunday. It was kind of quiet but we stopped by to get a drip coffee and a black iced tea. I'm not sure what team they use but it was really delicious and had a natural sweetness to it. I husband can be pretty fussy about his coffee. He ordered a black trip and said it was pretty good. I moved next to downtown Mesa not too long ago and just recently made time to explore the area. Jarrod's Coffee, Tea & Gallery is in the heart of downtown Mesa near a light rail stop. I have only been here once years back. Jarrod's is more than a coffeeshop. They display and sell artwork, vintage jewelry and crafts from local artists and have live music and poetry nights. They also have a monthly cannabis membership. You can check out their event schedule on their website. Jarrods has a nice variety of coffee drinks, teas, and Italian Sodas on their menu. They also bake all their pasties in house. I picked up a couple goodies to eat over the weekend along with some drinks. Jarrod's is a great spot to hang out and do some networking or to just chill and listen to some live music. The staff was very welcoming as well. Jarrod's Coffee has recently fallen on hard times due to inflation, rising rent and theft from a former employee. The community has been great in raising funds to help them out. Can't recommend this place enough!! Wow. Where to start? I loved the whole funky, artsy atmosphere and how they converted a historic home into this cute little cafe with a gem/ jewelry shop in the back. The jewelry shop had some cool unique finds, which I really appreciated. We met two of the brothers-- they were both super sweet and took the time to have some genuine conversations with us/ invite us to some of the public events they host there. Unfortunately I'm out of town, but this place made me feel super welcome and want to be part of the community :) I had a cranberry crumble muffin I believe?? And a hot mocha. Both were delicious. Since it was cold and rainy after lunch next door, we popped in here for my friends to get coffee. The fellow behind the counter was the owner. The vegan gluten free olive oil cake was excellent. I would have preferred my dirty chai latte a little stronger, but that's probably my fault for ordering a large with only one shot. The batista was very nice, answered questions, and helped me make decisions when ordering. Stopped by one afternoon with a friend for a tea and a bite to eat. She'd been in before, but I never had. Let me tell you we NEED more places like this around. It reminded me of San Francisco or SOHO in NYC, with it's very eclectic feel. The ART and the CRYSTALS!! And all the STUFF to buy or just to look at. Even the tabletop was cool. She had a hot tea and I had an Italian soda and we both had cookies and ended up bringing pastries home. The service was excellent and the man was telling us how they supplied so many bakeries around the area every day. This place would be great down by me in Queen Creek/San Tan Valley. I absolutely love this place and the people that work here. They are so kind! After a rough week that ended with me on antibiotics and steroids, I was really looking forward to a blended matcha. In my medicated head I thought I ordered it, but accidentally ordered it iced. They were so sweet and fixed the order even though it was my mistake. It may seem like something small but it really helped turn my day around and it meant so much. Every experience with this place has been fantastic and the drinks are so delicious, even the iced tea if you don't want all the added sugars. Also, they have a bakery that provides baked goods to almost 40 different places. Definitely try the baked goods! read more

Apparently I went at a bad time. The house was packed with people and made me a little claustrophobic. The coffee took about 10 minutes to get, and honestly was just okay. I got an iced mocha and my partner a blueberry latte. Couldn't really taste the coffee, but it wasn't bad. I'd say middle of road. Omg this is not your typical cafe! As soon as you enter, your eyes are drawn to all the vibrant art on the walls. This is such a dope concept where you're in an art gallery, a jewelry boutique, and a cafe all at once! The art works are beautiful and there are quite a few displays of crystals and jewelry to peruse, too. I understand that they also support local artists, such as community events and open mic, which are events I'd love to return for with friends. It's definitely sensory overload! Great for some conversation starters, that's for sure! The coffee is pretty good, too. It was your standard second-wave coffee beans. This is hands-down, the coolest coffee shop I have ever been to. From the moment you walk in the door there are millions of things to look at. I loved that all the products here are from local artists, makes the whole thing more special. Not to mention all the drink choices they have. I loved the Italian soda. Their lemonades are so amazing. They have tons of yummy flavors. I got the cherry literally so good I love a good lemonade. The home baked goods like the cookies they have at the front counter are absolutely delectable, so fresh. The staff is so helpful and so patient they were really a delight to deal with. They've moved from Main Street a couple streets back into a historic house. Really cool and inviting. They are sorting things out still , it was a soft opening. But maybe they are just using a Goodwill Coffee pot to serve their coffee because it's not very good. I just ordered a drip with steamed milk , it tasted like what my co-workers at the hospital night shift make. My girlfriend had a latte, she didn't even finish it. Was awful.
