Omg this is not your typical cafe! As soon as you enter, your eyes are drawn to all the vibrant art on the walls. This is such a dope concept where you're in an art gallery, a jewelry boutique, and a cafe all at once! The art works are beautiful and there are quite a few displays of crystals and jewelry to peruse, too. I understand that they also support local artists, such as community events and open mic, which are events I'd love to return for with friends. It's definitely sensory overload! Great for some conversation starters, that's for sure! The coffee is pretty good, too. It was your standard second-wave coffee beans. Nothing extraordinary, but it was decent coffee, though a bit pricey. Overall, a fabulous business and worth a drive. read more

I loved the ambiance of this boho shop! It is not only a coffee house, it has artisan jewelry, paintings and other offerings. You could spend another hour just browsing! The staff was welcoming and informative. I had the Italian soda (blackberry) and a cinnamon roll. Their Italian soda was the best I have ever had. The flavor was outstanding. The cinnamon roll was good, but not extraordinary. They bake all their pastries, so I will definitely try others in the future. This is hands-down, the coolest coffee shop I have ever been to. From the moment you walk in the door there are millions of things to look at. I loved that all the products here are from local artists, makes the whole thing more special. Not to mention all the drink choices they have. I loved the Italian soda. Their lemonades are so amazing. They have tons of yummy flavors. I got the cherry literally so good I love a good lemonade. The home baked goods like the cookies they have at the front counter are absolutely delectable, so fresh. The staff is so helpful and so patient they were really a delight to deal with. When I stopped in here, they had a piano player, which was absolutely gorgeous. It is just beautiful to sit and hang out in here and enjoy your coffee, very peaceful. read more

They've moved from Main Street a couple streets back into a historic house. Really cool and inviting. They are sorting things out still , it was a soft opening. But maybe they are just using a Goodwill Coffee pot to serve their coffee because it's not very good. I just ordered a drip with steamed milk , it tasted like what my co-workers at the hospital night shift make. My girlfriend had a latte, she didn't even finish it. Was awful. Really wanted to give this place the highest marks but if you're in the coffee business you have to start with good coffee. read more

This is the premiere coffee spot in Downtown Mesa. The atmosphere is wonderful. The staff is timely and happy. Jarrod and/or his family is often there in person talking to people and making the place welcoming. Beside the beautiful ambiance of Jarrod and his coffee shop, he features great local artists and GORGEOUS native jewelry. I've been coming to Jarrods religiously the last 2 years and am always impressed by the friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The owners are incredibly personable and go out of their way to make every customer feel at home. The drinks are absolutely delicious, and it's clear that the baristas take great pride in their craft. Whether you're in the mood for a classic latte or something a little more adventurous, this coffee shop has you covered. I usually get their iced teas, and they come with free refills! I was also thrilled to see that this coffee shop is LGBTQ-friendly and pet-friendly. Jarrod's Coffee tea & gallery is a total gem! The art work featured (and for sale!) is awesome and their iced tea is delicious. And it's worth a stop in their restroom just to see their fun sink. Last weekend my wife and I decided to go thrift shopping in downtown Mesa. Now a few of the businesses didn't make it through Covid so I walked down to this cool funky cafe. It had art everywhere and lots of seating I walked through all the rooms and it looks like they have live open mic night but I didn't ask about it. I didn't ask because I was not greeted at all by the staff they did see me but they just observed me like watching the lions at the zoo. I've managed cafe's before and I always told the staff to ask the question what can I get started for you? That puts the question to the customer and you waiting for the order. It causes people to pause and wonder what do I want to drink or eat? It was odd and while my ASU shirt and shorts were not terrible I didn't think the type of customer service warranted this lack of interaction. A simple interaction and I would have gotten coffee or cold tea for my wife but it was an odd silent standoff as if the policy states first person that talks or blinks loses. 1 star because of 2 things. First I'd like to mention that the guy with fake light blue eyes was a jerk to my husband even before he set foot in the store. We go to a church next door and he walked up to him to greet him outside. The guy instead of saying hi and introducing himself started fussing about parking. He was just rude with his remarks. The parking is an issue with all businesses and apartments being built. Why would my husband know anything about this? Anyway, I sent my husband to this coffee shop because I wanted to try something new and my husband forgot about this guy. So we ended up getting something and remembered him. We wouldn't have gone in the first place if we remembered. I got an iced decaf mocha. Tasted like chocolate water. I don't recommend the coffee. Got an Italian soda for the daughter and the taste was really good and probably better than most places but won't be back due to the first encounter. I'm trying to go more local with businesses so we tried this place. We will be trying others next time. read more

First time here. Wanted to try out this place. It's Friday night and they have a stand up comedy gig. The establishment has an art room. You can sign up. They also have handmade jewelry for sale. I ordered the vanilla yum blend and it had a pretty good flavor strong coffee taste just as I like it. Also had the everything bagel with cream cheese. Also had a tasty pumpkin muffin nice and warm. It's like a second living room at home when you walk in. Only with excellent coffee, pastries and some other wonderful drink options. The staff are fantastic and talented on the coffee machine. The prices are good and to be honest, one of the few places I've been to lately with a great Cappuccino. And they do a 20oz one also. If you love art, they have a wonderful gallery throughout to building. It reminds me of home. The Cherry Danish is the best. Yummy! read more

Jarrod's is so cool! I went on a Wednesday afternoon around 2 and it was a great place to study. My friend got some iced tea with a shot of cucumber syrup and so yum!! What a unique flavor combination! I think I got something more generic, like a latte which I remember tasting good. But even better than the beverages was the environment! While I've been to quite a few coffee shops in Arizona, Jarrod's is probably one of the hippest, artsiest, eclectic ones I've been to. There's TONS of cool art (that rotates!) on the wall, jewelry available for purchase, fliers for random classes. I've been to the brewery next door many times and finally decided to come in here. Fun artsy vibe. Very courteous and friendly staff. Apparently they just expanded. Lots of local art. I went here a couple of days ago and the vibe here is really cool. I ordered an Italian soda and it was delicious! Def. try the mango/kiwi flavor, it's really good on a summer day especially in Arizona! Sometimes they have live music here which is really cool. The decor here is really spot-on. Jarrod's is quickly becoming my favorite local coffee shop! Jarrod's is in downtown Mesa in an easily accessible location. I went to Downtown Mesa for the first time last week and went to Jarrods. I am beyond stunned. A live band was playing, the coffee/tea was NOT EXPENSIVE at all!! I couldn't believe it. I fell in love instantly. The art on the wall and Southwestern jewelry all over the shop was mesmerizing. Highly recommend this place to anyone! I will be coming back for sure! Took my ring to be resized and at first I wasn't satisfied with how my ring looked when I received it back. I made a complaint and Jarrod was quick to rectify the situation. Now my ring is perfect and the customer service couldn't have been better. I'll definitely come back as I'm sure the coffee would be great and I know I'll get great service! read more

Absolutely awesome,not only is the staff friendly and the drinks are great, and the atmosphere is amazing. There's art covering the walls (I believe from all local artists) and seats everywhere to sit in. the have board games for you to play if you wish and it just gives off a homey vibe. I came here for the first time the other day and their Caramel Kicker is better than any other Carmel coffee I've gotten from other coffee places. They also have live music and comedians come to the shop on Fridays and Saturdays. Honestly a great find. read more

My husband is a hot mocha guy. They have ice water at the front and in their spacious backyard seating area. It is a dog friendly destination. We enjoy seeing the wide variety of furry regulars. There are free treats for them. The service is consistently friendly and on top of their game. They really know how to move a line but you never feel rushed. They offer a points/ reward program for purchases which is always nice. When I asked my husband about cost he said it is so good he didn't even look! I checked our transaction history. For both of us including tip it was around $44- very decent in this day and age for such high quality. What a gem in Downtown Chandler!

Again, you would've thought I was about to suck them dry of all syrup. She seemed annoyed and looked at the register and began to say what I assume was they charge for extra, so I quickly said never mind. All in all I was disappointed with my interaction. I love coming here! Such a fun atmosphere, everyone is super friendly but lets you have your space. So many interesting pieces or art, decor, and jewelry, my eyes are constantly wondering. I even bought a piece from a local artist for my husband. I love their teas! I am a tea junkie so I am always on the lookout for new flavors and places and Jarrod's does not disappoint! No huge jugs of stale room temp teas that have been sitting in a dirty container for hours. Each order of tea is steeped to order, and iced if you request it. They offer every type of sweetener I have ever seen, and will happily add it in for you of you like ( unlike other places that just point to the self serve bar). Their teas are a tad more expensive than bigger chain places- but you will quickly see where that extra dollar is going. Hands down my favorite place to go for a refreshing sip! read more

This is the kind of place that I've been looking for since I moved here from Oregon 16 years ago! It is super fun, in downtown Mesa. Almost every time I go, there is some form of live music, they have chess boards, the store is covered with unique artwork, cool jewelry and even has great gluten-free treats for me!
