Sita did a wonderful job with my thick eyebrows. I have hesitated to get my eyebrows done more often because more often than not at other places I've been to, they end up making them too thin which doesn't work for me. She was very meticulous and patient while threading the rest of my face as well. I have quite thick, coarse facial hair and cannot wax because my skin is very sensitive. I am very happy with the results and will keep coming back here. Services are very reasonably priced. They even give you a punch card, if you go for eyebrow threadings 9 times you get the 10th one free! I came in on Sunday afternoon and didn't have to wait. I would highly recommend this place for your threading needs if you are in the Berkeley area. I just moved to Berkeley and am very happy to have found this place ! P.S. if you've never done threading before, it does sting for a few hours after - that is normal. Just put ice on the area and avoid makeup or heavy and fragranced creams or strong medicated face washes. The redness should subside in a few hours or by the next day. To me the results are totally worth the pain and may be better for your skin than waxing if your skin is sensitive. read more

I think she does a great job on the brows. The first time I went they were a bit too round but by the second time she got the look I was going for. My only complaint is that the first time I went, I walked in (since on Yelp it says Walk ins welcome) and was told that I would have to come back in an hour, or an appointment would be better. I couldn't really see that she was doing any work as there was no one there waiting for threading, but who knows. As someone who planned my day around my walk-in, drove there, tried to find parking, etc. That was extremely annoying. It's been easy to get an appointment from her but I really prefer walking in so that's a huge drawback for me, and I think if your website says walk-ins welcome then you should not ever have someone have to come back in an hour. read more

I have very sensitive skin and I like my brows a rounder shape, and they always do an excellent job. I have referred several friends here and they are happy as well. The price is very reasonable at $10 for eyebrow threading. They also do natural eyelash extensions for $75; it wasn't for me, but they did a good job and it was a great experience trying them. read more

Whatever you do, PLEASE do not go to jasmi beauty & threading for eyelash extensions. This review is a bit late but I went on 10/17 and even called ahead to confirm my appointment. Please keep in mind I have been getting lash extensions for about 2 years straight now, so I am familiar with the process and have been going to an excellent lash tech. First red flag was that she avoided giving a direct answer to my question for a price estimate multiple times. Showed up at my confirmed appointment time and was promptly led to the back room. I had some extensions left on from last time (not from here, but from my OG lash tech) that she really struggled to remove - took about 30 minutes and she pinched me AT LEAST 20 times (not joking, I counted). She also was yanking on them so much I was tearing up and she also ripped some out. I honestly should've left at this point and I was really thinking about walking out. A walk-in customer enters, and I hear her asking for an eyebrow service to which the lady doing my lashes LEAVES me to go service the customer (despite me having an appointment). I'm laying in the back room with 2 eyelashes on for at least another 20 minutes and she finally comes back in (without washing her hands). I really wanted my lashes done so I stayed, but it got even worse. During the ~2 hour long process, she was talking to her family on the phone and picked up at least 4 different calls, each time without washing her hands, then proceeded to touch my face all over. She pinched my eyes so many times with her tweezers, and I was VERY VISIBLY flinching and wincing at the pain but I guess she didn't care. When she was done, I realized it hurt to even blink as she had GLUED FLARES TO MY ACTUAL SKIN. The lashes they used were also shit quality, very rough, stiff, and pokey. There was too much glue and it hardened in big clumps at the root of my eyelashes. She charged me $100, which I paid bc I wanted to get tf out of there. When I got home, I couldn't wash my face without it hurting so bad to the point that I bought eyelash extension remover and removed them myself at home. Would've posted a photo of them if I didn't remove them immediately. I can't speak on their other services, but DO NOT GO HERE FOR EYELASH EXTENSIONS. I would never recommend this place and I seriously doubt that they have the proper training and license to perform eyelash extension services. read more

Every time I close my eyes and I feel the sharp burn from the threading, I fear my eyebrows got messed up accidentally but they always look great when I look in the mirror. I called before driving to Berkeley from Walnut Creek to schedule an appointment at 1:50 and the woman said no worries come in and I can help you. I came in a little early and there was another woman waiting to get multiple services and she was helped first. After waiting past the time I was told I decided to leave because I have to go to work. I unfortunately wasted my time waiting there for nothing since I didn't get to have my eyebrows done. Came into the salon to get my nails done, but couldn't pass on this 20% off deal that this new beauty business is offering. I decided to get a facial and I am so glad that I did. I got an hour long facial but there's also 30 minute mini facials available. She did steaming, extractions, and lots of moisturizing, face masks, and facial massaging. The most affordable place I've found so far to get eyelash extensions. This place is no frills, but Jasmi gets the job done. My only warning to people who are getting extensions for the first time is that if you don't plan to get them re-filled, you may decide to come back in to have them removed, which costs $30. threading wasn't bad but the prices are a little expensive and the service was rude. Had a woman condescend me when I asked to get a stamp for a stamp card because she laughed at me and said they don't do the stamp service anymore. Then she called "hey" loudly while I was leaving only for me to turn around and have her tell me that she wasn't talking to me and to laugh at me again. After a second she said "oh actually yes I was trying to get your attention because isn't this your card?" And laughed again. It wasn't a playful laugh, either. Don't get false lashes here. She does not do them properly. When you get lash extensions you are not supposed to feel them at all, but I felt the lash extensions and they irritated by eyes. She also talked on the phone while doing my lashes, and constantly picking up phone calls. read more

I've been getting my brows threaded by her for the past year, and more recently I've gotten lash extensions. I am very picky about how my lashes look since I always want it to look really natural and other lash techs I've gone to will still insist on giving me more volume/length than I asked for.
