Also the woman at the desk was a Kurt and not super friendly. The computer was having problems charging my card, so she had to manually put it in. And that was fine but she had asked me if I wanted to leave gratuity after I told her no, since I had never been to the place before, I wanted to know if it was worth a tip. She then asked me again to tip after I told her no. No one is entitled to a tip unless they've earned it. I had a problem with her but my manicurist and pedicurist people were very nice. My manicurist Nguyen does a really great massage. Highly recommend her. They were polite and wanted to do a good job. I liked them. I do wish around my nails was more cleaned up, but maybe it's just my super dry skin. I do like that they offer drinks, like peach Prosecco. That was great and helped me forget the ridiculous overpricing. I understand they give benefits to their staff but like $15 for a level 1 decoration for only 2 nails is laughable. For a stroke of glitter on top???? Or we serious right now??? I'd never come here again unless I have a boyfriend or partner who is willing to pay for it for me. I like the woman at the front desk there is annoying. I'd go somewhere else more affordable. Also important note is that they had NO DRYER for your nails. They asked what I wanted, and I mentioned a gel polish, with some length extension, and they said OK. They didn't do the typical Gel X that actually stays on my nails longer than few weeks, but that's alright. I was down to try something new to get some good looking nails. I was called up and the person said they can give me a gel manicure, round shape, cannot add length. It was the quickest manicure ever - not even 30 mins! Not sure if the gel cured properly since it all lifted within a couple days. Appreciated the time, but they should have let me know they had other customers to attend to, notably those that came in a bit after me with appointments. I think I was super rushed because of that, and the quality suffered for it. I'm not too bummed just because it wasn't overly expensive and I didn't look this place up beforehand, but can see how someone can just one star this place after seeing photos here and there experience I had since it didn't quite match up. The lady said I had a bunch of coats of nail polish and didn't properly and safely remove them via filing the polish down with an electric nail file. She puts acetone which doesn't seem to work and grabs a cuticle pusher to SCRAPE my nails and remove layers of my natural nails! She didn't even file them correctly and they were jagged and crooked when I got home I thought I still had cuticle left on my nail but upon looking it's literally the demarcation between my old nail and severely filed nail. My nails are so weak I can't remove my retainer from my teeth and I can't even scratch my hair ! Will never ever come back here and suggest no one does either. The lady was nice enough but the language barrier was bad but it was her poor techinical skills and lack of knowledge that did her in. Never ever again. My poor nails I wonder how long it'll take for them to get healthy again .

At first, it looked fine, but after it cured, it was noticeably thick and not shaped very well. As a result this one fell off after a week. I also tried to point out that the shaping on my nails looked inconsistent from one finger to the next. The technician told me it was just because my finger widths are different & it's impossible to make them look the same. I understand that natural nails are harder to make uniform (compared to extensions), but I was disappointed with the lack of effort. The gel manicure itself was okay. I got a pink color with chrome powder, it lasted about two weeks. Overall, for around $50, I feel like you get what you pay for. It wasn't a terrible experience, but the attention to detail, especially with the shaping and the builder gel, was lacking. The service was friendly though, and you get a stamp card for every visit.

The woman doing my nails kept calling other staff members over to look at my toes and they would laugh right in front of me. I play soccer, so my toenails take a beating, and I have a medical condition that makes my nails especially prone to breaking. None of that should matter. When you pay for a salon service, you're paying to feel cared for and comfortable, not to be made the subject of ridicule by the entire staff. This wasn't my first time noticing their behavior, but I had always let it go. Today was too much. I sat through the whole appointment, paid in full, and on my way out told the one male worker (the only person who had the decency not to laugh) how unprofessional the whole experience was. I don't really use the massage chair at pedicures. The homemade scrubs they do are what really brings it home. Most places don't really do that anymore, so it's one of the highlights, and reminds of Jaydn Taylor in Alameda back in the days. They are also detailed in what they do and the vibes are really relaxing. Huge bonus for that! My friends and I did all get a manicure and pedicure. Joy ended up being my technician and gave me some suggestions on what color nails I should do, since I wanted to match my outfit (if you know me you know me). Joy is actually a great tech, she's very patient and didn't rush the process. Joy sparked joy for me when she recommended the scrub. It wasn't just any scrub, it was a coffee scrub. I love the smell of coffee and this literally made my weekend. My feet felt so amazing afterwards and my nails looked so cute!
