I came in wanting hybrid lashes, because they seemed to be the best choice for someone wanting something more than the classic look, but not yet ready for full volume. Lisa assessed my eye shape and determined that volume would be the best option. However, I still paid the price for the hybrid lash set (saving me about $30). The whole appointment took about 2 hours. The whole environment is so soothing, and yes I totally fell asleep on the table - which is completely normal. She placed a pillow under my head and under my knees for comfort. And I loved it!! It's no wonder people fall asleep while getting their lashes done. First, I'd like to preface this by saying that I have always had very little hair. My eyebrows are so light that they're almost non-existent. I'm a no-fuss, no-muss makeup type of person. My work day makeup routine is tinted moisturizer with sunscreen, concealer, and eyebrows. My eyebrows always take forever because I literally have to draw them each time. Sometimes it's quick and sometimes it's not-so-much because they're uneven...you know when one side is higher than the other and you end up looking like your face is questioning everything. Enter Lisa and her magic hands. I booked my powder brows appointment and met with Lisa for the first time. First impression is she's super nice and personable. She talked to me about what I liked and what I didn't. She drew in my brows first and we adjusted the shape to my liking. She was so patient! Then came the ink. It really wasn't that bad. She goes over them first without a numbing cream and the pen/wand she uses feels like it's scratching your skin. Then she puts numbing cream on for the second pass through. And let me tell you, once that puppy is on, you don't feel a thing! Afterwards, I was so amazed at the transformation that I actually had a Seamus Finnigan moment when I looked at myself in the mirror, "In case you haven't noticed, me eyebrows have completely grown back!" (Harry Potter reference for those not in the know). Seriously, I am beyond astonished at her work! Lisa drew them perfectly!! And they won't go away!! The absolute best part? She was very nice but the lashes she used were strange, I've been getting extensions for a decade off and on and Ive never seen any like this. They are very thin, which would be great for a natural look, but the base was thicker than the lash itself. So it just looked very odd. It was obvious that they were extensions and there was an awkward line across my lashes where the base suddenly thinned to become the lash. I also ended up having a major allergic reaction to the glue. I've had sensitivity before that caused my eyes to look bloodshot for a couple hours and feel a little stingy, but it always went away. This glue had a very strong smell and burned a lot. I told her it was happening during the appointment and she would put a fan in my eyes that helped, but it never fully felt better. When I got home, my eyes were incredibly red, not just inside but all over. After a few hours they swelled up and I had to basically pull them off individually because I had nothing strong enough to counteract the glue. I had to take a heavy antihistamine and the redness still lasted several days. The allergy is definitely not her fault. I know that. There's no way to predict how someone will react. But I think it's worth noting that this seems to be a different kind of glue than what most other places in the area use. So if you are sensitive, maybe see if you can do a patch test first. I should have done that. That was my fault. read more

I've had my fair share of lash lifts, but this one was by far the best I've ever gotten! Asian lashes can be tricky to curl, but Lisa totally nailed it. I went to Lisa's in July for powdered brows. She was super nice and easy to talk with. It was my first time doing anything with my brows but she walked me thru the procedure and explained the steps before starting anything. She took some time defining the shape, slightly different on my right and left side, then gave me the option to pick. The procedure was shorter compared to the shaping part, and I didn't think it was painful considering it was my first time. Lisa was wonderful and professional the entire time and then explained the aftercare instructions at the end of the procedure. I went back in late August for the retouch, and Lisa's service was outstanding like the first time. The retouch was much faster since there was no shaping. Overall, the results are great. I don't have to do much with my eyebrows these days except check they're not growing wild. Her studio is situated in a cute area of Pleasanton with restaurants and small shops in the area. Had my first lash lift and tint with Lisa and she made me feel super comfortable. She is located literally right across from Rockridge Bart in her friend's hair salon. Lisa is located on the second floor. I walked by the first time until I realized I passed the address. You let the staff know you are here to see Lisa and she will come get you. I was going for the lift and wasn't sure about the tint. When I asked her about it, she recommended it for me, since I don't have a lot of lashes and the tint would make it stand out more. Your eyes are closed the entire time, so just relax. Lisa has gentle hands and touch. I did smell the perming solution, but Lisa advised it was very diluted compared to what is used on your hair. My eyelashes came out great, curled and much more dramatic. You leave with a little curling brush. The lash lift generally lasts 6-8 weeks, depending on weight of your lash and how you upkeep. read more

I had been contemplating getting my eyebrows microbladed for years, but never followed through for fear that I'd be permanently stuck with brows that were completely wrong for my face. Lisa did a lash lift for me a few months ago and I was really happy with the results. At that time, she mentioned that I'd be a good candidate for powder brows, which is more suitable for me since I have such sparse brows. I had my them done at the end of September and had my touch-up appointment 2 weeks ago, and I'm very happy with the results! She evened them out, made them a bit darker and added some length as well.
