Broke it open so you can see the cream cheese inside. Thank you for breakfast Diannah R
    Maricel P.

I have been lucky enough to get a taste of the cream cheese filled bolillo bread from this bakery. A good friend of mine (Diannah R.) was wonderful enough to share the goods from this place. I read some of the previous reviews from other Yelpers and one of the complaints was that there wasn't enough cream cheese inside the breads. I've had at least 5 different occasions where Diannah brought me bread and not once have I been short changed. They give a really good amount of cream cheese, as a matter of fact... If they put anymore in there it would be called cream cheese w a side of bread hahah. I happen to enjoy it! The bread is soft and when you bite into the bread and get some of the cream cheese filling, it's almost like Christmas and you find the present inside the bread. And did I mention the jalapeños inside... Yummmmm! If I had a complaint it would be that there weren't enough jalapeños inside, but then again some people might find it a bit spicy so maybe that's why they don't put too much inside. Shafter definitely has a jewel on their hands!

Omg, what a waste of money, hardly any filling.

Depending on what time of day you go, depends on what the cashier will charge you, even if you get the same thing. Dishonest and dirty

They are f**king delicious. I finally had a real cannoli here, and WOW. You get to choose between the classic filling or a maple-butter filling... I did half-and-half because I needed to experience it all. Next time? I'm going full maple butter--no hesitation. You can even get the ends dipped in nuts, chocolate, and a few other toppings. They make it fun. I also tried the apple butter tart and--wow again. Rich, flavorful, and honestly you don't need much because it hits. Definitely shareable... if you're feeling generous. This place is a little gem. I'm genuinely grateful it exists. Prices are reasonable, and while customer service was kinda "there but not there," I didn't even care because I was laser-focused on my desserts to go. They do have a few tables if you want to sit and enjoy your treats inside. I'll be back soon to explore more and I'll update once I discover my next favorite thing.

So, I don't have a full gauge of what they have. I will say this for what I have had. I got their chocolate, toffee tarte and that was so good. It was so well balanced out. Once I figure out my sleep schedule, I'm going to make a point to try and get a box of their stuff!

I ordered the strawberry cupcakes, chocolate cupcakes and lemon cupcakes with raspberry frosting and filled with raspberry filling. In my opinion they should give information on their website about all the flavors they can do or at least a few flavor idea suggestions, because when I called them to place my order I asked what flavors they offered and she had to name them off one by one and began struggling a bit to remember them all, so it was awkward, time consuming and harder for me to remember everything she was naming this way and just made it harder to decide which ones I wanted to go with... I ended up just randomly picking the first three I remembered her naming. Lol Good picks though ! So all the cupcakes were moist, creamy/velvety and delicious! The frostings were not overly sweet and I thought they were the perfect size too. My only complaint was that the toppings on the strawberry and lemon ones were candy, not a fan of candy and it kinda made them look like they were for kids and they were not. ( Noticed from others pic's that the lemon cupcakes usually have a raspberry on top...) Anyways, excellent prices, great service and delicious cupcakes! Would definitely try them again!

I went twice to this location two days in a row because I enjoyed it so much. First with a friend and then I had to introduce it to my kids. We tried a variety of baked goods, the honeycomb bread is sooooo dang good! Filled with little pockets of cream cheese, drizzled with honey, and topped with toasted regular and black sesame seeds (I forgot to take a pic of this one, but I'll add it next time I go). We enjoyed all of the pastries we tried- not a crumb on our plates by the time we were finished! The decor is beautiful and unique. All of the employees super nice and helpful. You can ask them for descriptions or ask for a menu to see details and ingredients. They're open late too, so I think my next visit will be a GNO or a date with my hubby.

Upon entry I was taken aback by the beautiful art that appears hand painted on the wall. It is beautiful! I wanted to get a feel for what Yemeni coffee is and how it differs from other regional coffees and I did not get that. We ordered a coffee and a matcha and I was able to try and enjoy both. I think it's good coffee and matcha I just didn't understand how their product differed from anything else. It's not bad and I would get it again but I didn't get a feel for the region. I remember when I tried Turkish coffee for the first time and the richness of flavor and strength, Salvadoran coffee and its rich aromatics, Palestinian and its rich nutty textures via spice, but here I was left wondering. Yes, this is a pistachio coffee, but what makes it different? I don't know. Yes, this is a pistachio matcha, but what made it different. Don't know. Good sure, but I can't really describe how it is unique. The baklava, certainly, provided this rich information. Compared to other baklavas it was drier and crunchier in a way that was satisfying and light. I would prefer to eat this baklava if I was watching my sugar and calories, which coincidently I currently am. Other baklavas are more decadent and syrup/sugar heavy. I was left with a want for more out of how light and delicious they are. I hope to try their cake offerings soon! Would return to continue trying their menu and would love to see a no straw option for the lid along with a more sustainable cup!
