First of all, the cupcake toppings are cute! I like the lemon one. The choco cup cake is rich, flavorful and not too sweet. The lemon raspberry as well it has a tangy flavor and not that sweet as well. I just wished they're alil bigger lol. They also have a tall bday cake- Neapolitan flavor (as I've told), i wasn't able to take a pic. They also have other baked goods like brownies. Overall, i might visit again if I need a specialized cake order. read more

Decided I wanted some cupcakes for a small celebration I was having so I placed an order over the phone for half a dozen of cupcakes at Cornerstone since they just happened to have such awesome reviews and be down the street... I ordered the strawberry cupcakes, chocolate cupcakes and lemon cupcakes with raspberry frosting and filled with raspberry filling. In my opinion they should give information on their website about all the flavors they can do or at least a few flavor idea suggestions, because when I called them to place my order I asked what flavors they offered and she had to name them off one by one and began struggling a bit to remember them all, so it was awkward, time consuming and harder for me to remember everything she was naming this way and just made it harder to decide which ones I wanted to go with... I ended up just randomly picking the first three I remembered her naming. Lol Good picks though ! So all the cupcakes were moist, creamy/velvety and delicious! The frostings were not overly sweet and I thought they were the perfect size too. My only complaint was that the toppings on the strawberry and lemon ones were candy, not a fan of candy and it kinda made them look like they were for kids and they were not. ( Noticed from others pic's that the lemon cupcakes usually have a raspberry on top...) Anyways, excellent prices, great service and delicious cupcakes! Would definitely try them again! read more

I tried the macarons, I was really excited but was let down. The shells were hard as rocks and had very little flavor in all of them, half a dozen is almost $20. Not worth it at all. Thank you to Bakersfield eats and cornerstone bakery for my free gift card and for introducing to me this bakery! I ordered the lemon berry cupcake, funfetti cupcake, Oreo blonde brownie, and peanut butter cookie. Let me tell you everything that I took a bite into was DELICIOUS. The raspberry and lemon cupcake was scrumptious it had lots raspberry filling inside and I really enjoyed it. The funfetti cupcake was super cute I almost didn't want to eat it but it was fluffy and moist as well. The peanut butter cookies was DELICIOUS the size portion was pretty big. Yum! Yum! Yum! I came today before my massage because I always seem to come when they're closed so I'm glad I stopped by. It's a small cute quaint place. They had your popular cookie flavors, macarons, brownies, cupcakes, lemon bars, and more. I purchased a chocolate cupcake for my masseuse, 2 cookies, and a lemon bar (about $15). After my massage I took a bite into my lemon bar. Oh my gawd!!! The best flaky, tart, not too sweet lemon bar I've ever tasted. The crust was just so good and nice crumble to it. Oh my I wish I bought two. I ate my lemon bar in 3 phases and each time taste just like the first bite. I didn't capture a pic because I devoured it. I love soft cookies. I haven't tried them yet but I can't wait. I can smell the peanut butter and chocolate through the wrapper. Can't wait to have some with coffee. Just based off the lemon bar, I can imagine the taste of the cookies. I'm telling myself portion control... lol I can't wait to come here again and try other goodies they have going on. They make cakes as I see in the pics but never tried them. Maybe one day. But for now, those macarons are calling my name soon! read more

Delicious! My wife and I were in the mood for some cupcakes and looked to hit up our favorite location however we found them to be closed so we expanded our search for some delicious frosted treats and stumbled on Cornerstone. I reached out to them over social media to verify they were open and how they were handling orders and such due to the pandemic and the owner was very clear and it was super easy to place an order for pick-up online. I picked up 6 cupcakes making sure to get one of just about all the flavors they are currently offering and we set off to feast, they are amazing! This may very well be our new cupcake spot, the lemon raspberry are a must try and everything else was just fantastic, we'll definitely be back and I strongly encourage others to try it out if you haven't already! read more

Came in from out of town for a celebratory party and Cornerstone came through big time! We ordered two dozen cupcakes the day before we needed them and they went above and beyond to make the cupcakes exactly how we envisioned them. Now, the taste of the cupcakes was another story. I ordered my wedding cake here for this past Saturday and it was amazing! The design was beautiful and exactly what I wanted. They were also able to accommodate the 3 different flavors we ordered. Our 3-layer tier cake was vanilla, and the 2 half sheets were carrot cake & lemon cake. All 3 were delicious! The wedding guests definitely took some extra cake home with them lol. Booking with Aaron at the bakery was super easy, and they delivered the cake on time at the reception. Their prices are also very reasonable compared to other places. Everything was perfect! They are open and I am thrilled (check the hours before you go open Tuesday to Saturday. Macarons $3 so delicious and a wide range of flavors. Cupcakes, cookies, and bar cookies all wonderful fresh. Very satisfied with their treats. Everything tasted great. I'm a huge cookie fan and the cookies are so good. The snickerdoodle was one of the best I've had. I recommend getting the chocolate brownies and having them with a bowl of ice cream. Also, they were able to make 10 gift boxes for me same day, when I needed them for the staff at my kid's school. This little bakery is one that is certainly off the beaten path. That said, it is very worthy of the effort to find. Always easy parking. Upon entering, the place smells so good. They always greet me when I come in, and they are always patient as I figure out a couple of treats. The cupcakes are so pretty and they taste good too. I think there are usually six varieties. Cookies also are excellent, I have also had the brownies and blondies. A nice place to get some sweet treats. read more

Stephanie was super fantastic. Planned our cake in just a few minutes. For wedding cakes, they will make you a small cake on your one year anniversary which I LOVE. Saving cake top for a year sounds terrible lol. We got a small cake for us to cut, and then cupcakes for everyone else. We did marble for our cake and holy hell was it delish!!! Cue two guys who are getting married, unsure of what their vision will be... and needless to say I was a bit unsure of what would happen with our wedding cake. My husband wanted a marble look cake and as Aaron began to sketch up our cake we had no clue really how it would look... but it ended up being PHENOMENAL! We had a white marble look cake with floral cascading down and gold leaf throughout. It turned out beautifully and the cake held up really well in the warm October weather. Our cake fed all 115 guests that we had and it turned out perfect. It was moist and well flavored. We had many people requesting multiple slices and the fondant was great! Jennifer started her professional career at Frito Lay as a production manager after graduating from Cal Poly, SLO with her Bachelor of Science Degree. In her eleven years of experience at Frito Lay, she had a strong focus on both food safety and quality.
