Absolutely wonderful experience; caring, kind, understanding, enthusiastic about his care and most importantly, supportive.

***THIS IS A LONG OVERDUE REVIEW of Dr. Catherine DeUgarte & PFCLA. Gosh, where do we begin. In or…read moreabout March, 2020 to June, 2022, we attempted at conceiving naturally but to no avail. We discovered that one of her tubes were blocked and a few polyps needed to be surgically removed. In or about June 2022, it dawned on me that IVF was a viable option (mind you, I've never considered IVF prior to this and possibly even had subconscious bias towards it). With the new epiphany, came the relentless due diligence on Yelp, Google and the internet at large. We narrowed down the potential doctors / clinics to: 1) Dr. Wendy Chang of SCRC (Southern CA Reproductive Center in Beverly Hills) and 2) Dr. Catherine DeUgarte of CMD Fertility. (NOTE: PFCLA was not on our list at this juncture because Dr. Catherine DeUgarte had her own practice at CMD Fertility and had not yet merged with PFCLA). We ultimately took a leap of faith and went with Dr. Wendy Chang of SCRC - and our experience was disastrous. The final IVF result was an abject failure. Throughout the entire IVF process, interactions with Dr. Wendy Chang of SCRC v. our subsequent interactions with Dr. Catherine DeUgarte of PFCLA were literally night and day. Since this Yelp review is not intended to be a scathing repudiation of Dr. Wendy Chang & SCRC, I will refrain from delving into the specificities. The aforementioned account is predicated solely on our personal experience with Dr. Wendy Chang & SCRC, so it's advisable to conduct your own due diligence. After our disastrous experience with Dr. Wendy Chang & SCRC, the process of which consummated in or about December, 2022, we were disheartened, dejected, reeling and livid all at the same time, so we decided to implement a hiatus and respite from IVF altogether. Lo and behold, in January, 2023, we proceeded with the unthinkable - we began choosing an egg donor and surrogate via HATCH (an affiliate of PFCLA). We executed a contract and paid all fees up-front in order to secure a spot on the surrogate waitlist, while we began searching for an egg donor. Talk about desperation on our part. The silver lining, however, was Greg Wiles, the President of HATCH, who was phenomenal during the many telephone conferences and email exchanges. Greg was such a breath of fresh air as he patiently walked us through the entire egg donation / surrogacy process. I truly appreciate him. In or about March, 2023, we miraculously rekindled our spirits and decided to give IVF another chance. Mind you, we were then [concurrently] proceeding with both IVF and Egg Donation / Surrogacy pathways - no one has ever heard of such a concurrent process. Then came Yelping and Googling all over again for an IVF doctor / clinic. Our due diligence this time around resulted in 1 clear choice: Dr. Catherine DeUgarte of PFCLA (Note: Dr. Catherine DeUgarte of CMD Fertility merged with PFCLA in 2023). Dr. Catherine DeUgarte is literally GODSENT. After thoroughly reviewing our prior IVF case files from SCRC, Dr. Catherine DeUgarte was genuinely confident and optimistic. We trusted her through the process and she exceeded our expectations 100x over. We netted 6 healthy embryos ( "Zero" with Dr. Wendy Chang of SCRC). Go figure. Fast forward to March 28th, 2024 - OUR SON WAS BORN. ***You may take this review with a grain of salt and conduct your own due diligence. As a seasoned lawyer, however, I perform in-depth due diligence vis-à-vis any and all major decisions I make in my personal life, with the unparalleled meticulousness that you will rarely see in any individual. I want to thank PFCLA and in particular, Dr. Catherine DeUgarte. Catherine, we just want you to know that the countless hours you invest in your patients; the incredibly genuine and caring personal attention you confer to your patients; your steadfastness in providing your cell phone number to your patients; your deliberate decision to take on only a limited number of patients per year in order retain quality over quantity; and of course, your amazing clinical acumen, ARE NOT IN VAIN. Thank you Dr. DeUgarte & PFCLA.

The second transfer didn't stick unfortunately, but because of this, dr lee made great adjustments for our third one that gave us our baby boy. In fact, on our transfer day, there were some complications on how my scan was looking like. Dr lee wasn't able to see the right placement for our baby. From the very beginning, Dr. Lee was straightforward and transparent about expectations, outcomes, and options. Unlike some clinics that give false hope just to move you along or take your money, Dr. Lee tells you the truth--clearly, compassionately, and respectfully. That honesty builds real trust, which is everything during such an emotional journey. The IVF program itself is extremely well-organized and thoughtfully designed. Every step is explained, every visit feels purposeful, and the follow-up care is consistent and thorough. You never feel rushed, forgotten, or left wondering what comes next. Each appointment builds on the last, and the staff is always prepared and attentive. Most importantly, you can genuinely feel that Dr. Lee and his team care--not just about results, but about you as a person. The staff is kind, supportive, and responsive, making a very stressful process feel manageable and human. They are with you every step of the way. If you are looking for an IVF clinic that values honesty, professionalism, organization, and truly caring patient-centered care, I cannot recommend Dr. Lee and his staff highly enough.

I paid over $300 for a prenatal massage here and left feeling frustrated and completely unsatisfied. I came in specifically for lower back pain relief, and despite asking the therapist at least four times to use more pressure, the massage stayed extremely light the entire time. I've had many massages, including prenatal ones, so I know my expectations are reasonable. What made it worse was how my requests were handled. At one point the therapist told me that "if you haven't had a massage in a while your nerves might be asleep," which felt dismissive and didn't really make sense. She then said she would "just press and hold in places" rather than actually massage. That's not what I paid for, especially at this price point. It was clear she was inexperienced, and while everyone starts somewhere, a specialized prenatal setting with premium pricing isn't the place for that learning curve. When I followed up afterward, I was quickly passed off to a business manager via text with very little acknowledgment of my concerns. Their own receptionist had already admitted the therapist was new and less experienced, so the lack of follow-through felt tone-deaf. The owner did eventually offer a full refund, but the way it was handled felt even more dismissive, basically making it clear I wasn't welcome back. Overall this experience was overpriced, underwhelming, and poorly handled from start to finish. I would not return.

From my very first appointment, I felt like she was truly on my side. After reading so many horror stories on Reddit about patients feeling dismissed or pressured, it was incredibly important to me to find a doctor who would advocate for me, and that's exactly who Dr. Quinn is. She's extremely knowledgeable and always takes the time to answer every question I have with current research and evidence, which I really appreciated. She welcomed my questions, listened to my ideas, and made sure my husband and I felt informed and empowered to make the decisions that were right for us, rather than pushing us in a particular direction. One thing that really sets Dr. Quinn apart is how hands-on she is. She is at every appointment and performs every ultrasound herself, which made me feel like I was receiving consistent, personalized care throughout the entire process. Because of my particular situation, time was important, and her entire team went above and beyond to keep things moving quickly. Everyone was kind, accommodating, and genuinely cared about helping us. I also have to give a special shout-out to the finance team. Dealing with insurance companies can be one of the most frustrating parts of the IVF process, and insurance approvals don't always move at the same pace as your treatment plan. The HRC finance team went above and beyond to advocate on my behalf and make sure insurance delays never caused me to postpone a procedure. Knowing they were handling everything behind the scenes took so much stress off my shoulders and allowed me to focus on what really mattered. And finally, my IVF coordinator, Alondra, was absolutely incredible. I truly feel like I gained a friend throughout this journey. She never left an email unanswered and was always incredibly responsive. No matter how many questions I had or how stressed I was, I knew I could count on her to get back to me quickly with the answers I needed. IVF is such an emotional and overwhelming experience, but having a team that is knowledgeable, compassionate, and truly invested in their patients made all the difference. I couldn't recommend Dr. Quinn, Alondra, the finance team, and the entire HRC Pasadena team more highly.

I found Dr. Quinn through a recommendation in a Facebook group, and it may be the best recommendation I've ever received. She is, without question, the best doctor I've ever had. My wife and I often joke that we wish she could be our primary care physician because we would trust her with absolutely everything. She is incredibly knowledgeable, but what truly sets her apart is her compassion. She is the most empathetic physician I've ever met. Early in our journey, we learned that my wife had very low ovarian reserve despite being quite young. Suddenly, the path we thought would be simple became much more difficult and uncertain. Over the course of her treatment, we completed four retrievals. We had success with our first retrieval, experienced disappointment with our second and third, and recently completed our fourth. We were overjoyed to learn that we now have three frozen embryos from my wife's retrievals and this part of our journey has finally come to a close. Anyone who has gone through fertility treatment knows it can be an emotional, painful, and often lonely experience. Throughout every setback, every anxious wait, and every difficult conversation, Dr. Quinn, her nurse Josephine, and the entire HRC Fertility team treated us with kindness, patience, and genuine care. They made an incredibly challenging process feel as manageable and painless as possible. I cannot thank Dr. Quinn, Josephine, and the entire HRC team enough. They helped us through one of the most difficult experiences of our lives, and we'll always be grateful for their expertise, support, and compassion.

It was an incredibly emotional and difficult time in my life. My OB highly recommended Incinta, and because I trusted my doctor, my husband and I scheduled a consultation right away. We had already tried other fertility treatments before coming to Incinta, so we arrived with both hope and uncertainty. From the moment we walked in, we were impressed. The office was beautiful, welcoming, and professional. The staff greeted us warmly and gave us a tour of the facility. One thing that immediately stood out to me was that everything was done in-house. Knowing that my embryos would not need to be transported between different facilities gave me so much peace of mind and confidence moving forward. Fast forward, Incinta worked what truly feels like a miracle for our family. We moved forward with IVF treatment and were blessed with four healthy embryos. Using two of those embryos, I delivered one healthy baby boy in 2022 and another healthy baby boy in 2024. Now, my husband and I are preparing to return next month for our third and final transfer, hoping to welcome our baby girl in 2027. Words cannot fully express how grateful we are to the entire Incinta family. They didn't just help us grow our family--they helped me fulfill my lifelong dream of becoming a mother. After years of praying, hoping, and wondering if this day would ever come, I now have two beautiful miracle boys and hope for one more blessing on the way.
