Not only we had success with him, he has been very involved in my care and leaves nothing to chance. From the very specific and personalized protocols to the openness and availability to discuss any concern no matter how small. He has treated me on several rounds of egg retrievals, medical procedures, infinite tests and 2 transfers. He is very knowledgeable and supportive. I recently had the privilege of working with Dr. Ghadir at HRC in Beverly Hills and wanted to share my experience. I had gone through an initial consultation with another clinic and after speaking with a friend about HRC decided to check things out with before committing. I'm so glad I did! Not only was I able to save thousands of dollars, but I felt that the care I received through HRC was exactly what I needed to have a successful egg-retrieval. One of the staff members on-site (Sawyer) was particularly welcoming and personable. Bloodwork has always been challenging for me, as I have a history of fainting. Sawyer's ability to make her patients feel safe and comfortable made venturing into the office something to look forward to, as opposed to being filled with dread. My ultrasound technician (Angela) made things as comfortable and as unawkward as possible. Quite the feat in my opinion! My IVF coordinator Amber was warm, energetic, knowledgeable, and super communicative. Any time I inquired about something pertaining to timelines, medications, side-effects, etc., I would hear back from her within a few hours. On the day of my retrieval, Dr. Ghadir was present upon my waking up and informed me that he had retrieved 30 eggs! The following day, he called me personally to make sure that I was recovering well and shared that 24 of those eggs were viable, mature, and had been frozen. I wish the doctor had talked to me about how the hormones and procedure would change my body. I am 1 year out from the surgery and 15 pounds heavier. My stomach is still protruding. I had extreme inflammation for 3 months after the procedure. My bra size increased by 2 full cups. I can't fit any of my clothing. I don't recognize my body shape. I was the same weight for all of my adult life before. The whole point of doing the procedure as a single woman was to give me more time to find a partner. I feel so uncomfortable, so of course, I don't want to date. I feel like I've wasted precious time. I only spoke to the doctor once during the process, at the very beginning, and again when I called a couple months after the procedure to ask if this much weight gain and inflammation was normal. He was very dismissive. He basically just said that I needed to eat less. I am eating substantially less, and I've always been a person that prioritizes working out. Maybe some day when I look back I'll be grateful I have the eggs, but right now I regret doing it. I went from feeling young and in shape, to frumpy. I wish I hadn't done this. read more

In March 2018 I had an appointment with Shahin Ghadir in Ventura, CA. It was awful - he acted as if it was an inconvenience, he flipped through paperwork and barely made eye contact during our maybe 10 minute long consult. The cherry on top for me was that he told me I needed to lose 1 pound per day and needed to eat no more than 1,000 calories per day. He also stated that I should step on the scale daily to ensure I was losing weight. He then tried to push vitamins on me that totaled over $200/month. Needless to say, I never returned. Dr. Ghadir gave me the chance to expand our family when other doctors didn't think it was possible. After being diagnosed with secondary infertility and an AMH of 0.08 at the age of 34, I originally initiated my fertility journey with a doctor who didn't believe I was a good candidate for IVF given my diminished ovarian reserve diagnosis. After multiple failed IUIs, I convinced my first fertility doctor to try IVF, which unfortunately led to 2 egg retrievals that were cancelled days before the operation; at which point I decided to switch doctors and scheduled a consultation with Dr. Ghadir. Dr. Ghadir created a treatment plan with his team (Nareh and Angela!) that gave me the hope and courage to try IVF. After multiple retrievals, we were only able to create 1 healthy embryo given my severely low follicle count (~1-3 per cycle!). Thanks to the dedication and due diligence of Dr. Ghadir and his team, they were able to successfully perform the transfer and I'm thrilled to share that we welcomed our baby boy in October 2023! Really regret the time and money I wasted on this experience with Dr. Ghadir. I never met him until the retrieval day . I only had one time telephone call with him and I was so nervous and disappointed that they don't understand how stressful this situation is and they see you as a credit card only. I only had a handful of interactions with Dr. Ghadir during my two cycles of IVF. He was at least 20 minutes late every time I had a scheduled phone call or procedure with him and sometimes he missed the meeting entirely. He was also never prepared to discuss any specifics about my personal outcomes. The first time I met him was at my retrieval. He was so late that I overheard the nurses whispering that they would have to document his tardiness. If you know anything about egg retrievals, you know that timing is important. The communication from Dr. Ghadir's team was abysmal. Although, Dr. Ghadir canceled my first cycle of IVF early on in the process, the clinic billed me for a full cycle. It took me YEARS to sort out. I got bills in the mail the whole time, to the point that I almost just paid them to stop the stress (obviously not something you need when you're going through this process). Anyway, after all this time I'm only leaving that info here to hopefully prevent other women from having the same experience. He and his team seem to give great care to people with lots of instagram followers. That's not me and if it's not you, I suggest going elsewhere. I try not to think about this man if I can help it. I'm considering finding a new dentist (I love her but she's located on the same block) so that I can avoid the PTSD I feel pulling into that parking lot. Apparently Google reviews will censor you. So my partner and I are adding our review of Dr. Ghadir here in its original form uncensored. We do not recommend, there are better choices. SCRC is a fertility factory and treats you not as a patient going through an emotional experience but merely a credit card transaction. SCRC and Dr. Ghadir make you feel like an injectable cow ripe for breeding, not a human. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE, WOULD NEVER GO BACK. For one, when my partner was given her hormones for the IVF treatment she was not even given proper instructions or dosage. Since it was on a Sunday she had to call the emergency nurse for directions and wait for them to call back. In addition, Dr. Ghadir added a 4th injection to her treatment and gave us no explanation as to why or what this hormone was. This 4th injection caused my partner discomfort and to feel uneasy and nauseous and even then we could not reach Ghadir and his team. When my partner expressed her concern over how she was treated by him and his staff Ghadir just said " sorry, we don't have time for that in our process." read more

I first became a patient of Dr Shahin Ghadir in 2020. Due to the COVID pandemic we took things slow. During that time only the patient was allowed in, and we wanted to do it together, which is the reason for the long process. When I first met with Dr Ghadir he was friendly, personable, and extremely knowledgeable. Most importantly is extremely optimistic, which gave me hope. We began with testing (bloodwork, ultrasounds, etc.). There is a lab at the clinic, so we got most results the same day. I cannot tell you how comforting it is to get these results in hours instead of days. This eliminated the stress of waiting I experienced with other offices. Working with Dr Ghadir means working as a team. We would talk about what was best, and how to proceed, together. I was a part of my treatment, not just being told what I would be doing next. Together we agreed to do multiple retrievals, before doing a transfer. Due to my age this made more sense because I would have more embryos available, and if we wanted more children, we could set a transfer and add to our family faster. I have established a relationship with Dr Ghadir and his staff. They have always been supportive and reassuring. No matter what I said or asked they answered my questions, and NEVER talked down to me. They learned about me as more than just a patient too. When I talk to the doctor or his team they ask about my family, my dogs, and even my chickens. After being a patient with Dr Ghadir for three years I would not ever consider going anywhere else. And after three years I have had a successful transfer, and multiple positive pregnancy tests. We are finally growing our family after 23 years of trying. I cannot thank him or his team enough for everything they've done to care for and support me. Southern California Reproductive Center in Beverly Hills is a comfortable and friendly place. There have been some staff changes, but the staff there get to know you by your first name. As soon as I walk in I am greeted by some who genuinely seems happy to see me. The ultrasound technicians and friendly and extremely comforting. They get to know you, and you get to know them. The phlebotomy team is AMAZING! The IVF journey requires a lot of blood draws, and the team there learns how to complete the draws with no issues. I have had draws in my hands multiple times, and it hasn't hurt, or bruised. I cannot say enough about Dr Ghadir and everyone in his team. Without him I would not have finally gotten my dream to come true. Going through this process if physically and mentally draining, but going through this with Dr Ghadir and his staff is like doing it with friends and family holding your hand every step of the way. If I could give Dr. Ghadir and his team 100 stars I would. Dr. Ghadir got me pregnant on our first transplant and now we have a two week old gorgeous baby girl. Our journey has been a long one, starting five years ago. We tried one fertility doctor in the Valley, with my eggs and that didn't work. After that, two failed adoptions. Cut to five years later, we decided to try one last time with Dr. Ghadir, who came highly recommended to us and who we should have gone to in the beginning. We told him our history and how we didn't really have high hopes. He told us, "I'm getting you pregnant, my dear." I was 48 years old at the time. And he couldn't have been more confident and positive, with the facts and statistics to back it up. His confidence was contagious. He and his staff kept us informed every step of the way. Our process was IVF with egg & sperm donor and it was overwhelming with a lot of information. But we put our faith in Dr. Ghadir and his whole team. Be sure to allow time in your schedule to meet with the doctor. For my initial consultation Dr. Ghadir was late. During the consultation, the doctor took his time to answer every question that I had. Dealing with the SCRC team was a different story. Mind you, I have infertility coverage through my insurance. There was so much back and forth with Dr. Ghadir's staff, that I missed my a cycle to retrieve eggs. The insurance verification was a nightmare. I have met deductible for the year, and out of pocket maximum, yet Ericka (person from the office that "verified" insurance) did not get the complete details. I had to take time out of my day to call insurance and call the office to ensure they had the correct information. When I started my menstrual cycle, I had to get an ultrasound the third day of it. Before and during this time, I had been asking and requesting for the out of pocket costs that I would incur. Jamie (Financial Counselor) didn't send me the out of pocket costs until the day before. When I received the costs attached, I was in shock. I called and asked about the bogus professional fees. Mind you, my insurance covers the costs of blood work, ultra-sounds etc. Why would I be charged extra for this, when this is covered by my insurance which I find highly unethical? Why is there not an option for an in-network facility? Also, I find after googling the egg storage facility that SCRC uses, ART Reproductive Center, I found it odd that they would use an egg storage facility that has been sued for improper disposal of embryos. From there, I decided to go to another doctor. It took the doctor a week to call me, and ask about my medical release form for my new doctor, and why I was not doing the procedure with him (11.12.18), and to boot, while I was at the new doctor's office. I didn't get to speak to Dr. Ghadir until 11.13.18, because I was at a new consultation. On 11.13.18, I explained to him, that dealing with so many different people in his office, is not only confusing, but I feel like the charges are unethical. I understand that they're a business, but this is excessive. Then Dr. Ghadir asked if he could have the opportunity to try and fix this and see if I would reconsider using him and Southern California Reproductive Center for my egg retreival, and put me in contact with Tracy at his office. I told her what I had relayed to the doctor, and she said that she would take a look into it. NEVER GOT BACK TO ME! I even called and emailed on 11.16.2018, and nothing. I followed-up on 11.19.2018, and spoke to a woman by the name of Chantel, Chantal, who stated that the professional fees are for the ultrasounds, blood work, and the doctor's time. I told her again that makes no sense. I have insurance to cover that. She stated "oh you have coverage, then that's for the doctor's fee." WTF?! Insurance has been billed for my consultation, and blood work already! I know because I've received the explanation of benefits that. Then I receive an email, not a call, from Tracy apologizing stating that she thought I decided to go to another doctor. Our conversation stated if she could figure out my insurance and other details, then I would reconsider! None of that happened. While Dr. Ghadir was my first choice, and he tried his best to remedy the situation, his staff made it impossible, and beyond frustrating! read more

My experience with Dr. Ghadir and his staff started over 5 years ago when as a single woman I decided to harvest and freeze eggs. That procedure went very well and for 5 years my 11 eggs stayed happily frozen. This fall my husband and I decided that we would use my eggs to try for our second, since we were experiencing a little difficulty conceiving this time around. We started with Dr. Ghadir and his staff back in September. The initial months were frustrating and things did not always go as planned, but Dr. Ghadir and his staff were always very receptive to any difficulties I experienced and worked very hard to make sure I was having a positive experience. We first met Dr. Ghadir in October 2017. At the time I was having complications from a previous surgery and after our initial consultation, we had to cancel our fertility plans. After giving myself a year of recovery, we asked for another referral with Dr. Ghadir at the Southern California Reproductive Center in Beverly Hills. We met with him and discussed our plan with IUI and began blood work and ultrasound testing. Throughout the whole process, Dr. Ghadir and his team of nurses treated us with respect, understanding, and compassion. They answered our phone calls and emails in a timely manner and scheduled our appointments when needed. We did four rounds of IUI with no success. We decided we would get our finances together and try again next year. We started the process once again in January 2020. We met with Dr. Ghadir and discussed IVF thoroughly, answering any and all questions we had. We found out our insurance did not cover IVF treatment and Dr. Ghadir did his best to advocate for us with our insurance. We were thankful that he tried for us even though it did not go through. We then saw Ari who discussed the financial part of it all. After agreeing to IVF, I started birth control to control my cycle. I started IVF in March and had my egg retrieval on March 13, 2020. Dr. Ghadir kept me informed on the status of the embryos as promised. Day 1, Day 3, Day 5, Day 6 and so on. My embryos were sent for genetic testing (which was suggested by Dr. Ghadir, and we're glad he did) approximately 6 days later, our results were in. Due to COVID-19, we're on hold for our transfer date. But I can not give Dr. Ghadir and his team Angela and Gaby enough praise. They made the process smooth and as comfortable as can be. Angela taught me how to administer the injections with ease, she made sure I had all of my medications delivered and ready to go when needed. I emailed Angela and Gaby so much, but they still responded and or returned my calls without attitude or sounding annoyed. They were always there to answer my questions and concerns. I moved to Indio Ca, approx 2.5 hrs away without traffic (4+hrs with traffic) and even though there was a closer fertility clinic to us, we decided we wanted to stick with SCRC regardless of the distance. And we're glad we did. My partner and I strongly recommend going to SCRC for your fertility needs where you'll be treated with dignity and respect. read more

I started my fertility journey with SCRC and Dr. Ghadir in May of 2022. After one year of trying to conceive with no success, my gynecologist referred me to Dr. Ghadir for an HSG exam. I remember entering the exam room and feeling very overwhelmed with nerves and emotion. Luckily, Nareh, one of Dr. Ghadir's nurses, was so compassionate and kind and she reassured me that everything would be okay. And when Dr. Ghadir entered the room to do the exam he also comforted me and made me feel so much better by talking me through each step. The whole procedure was something I had been building up in my head as something really scary and it was ultimately a relatively pain free and very simple experience, thanks to Dr. Ghadir. After a few months, we made the decision to move forward with the next step in our fertility journey: IUI. I was not sure what to expect but Dr. Ghadir and the entire SCRC team helped me to remain positive throughout my entire experience. After two unsuccessful IUI cycles, I had one more attempt before we had to consider moving on to IVF. Dr. Ghadir recommended a double IUI for my last cycle and this one resulted in a pregnancy! I extend my deepest gratitude to the entire SCRC team and to Dr. Ghadir and his nursing staff. Nareh and Angela were always patient in answering all of my questions. It's a busy practice so leaving phone messages was the norm but someone always called me back the same day. From the first floor reception staff - including Daisy at the front desk and Maria and Anelle who handled my bloodwork, to the 5th floor staff, especially Crystal - everyone was so nice and always greeted me with a smile. Once pregnant, I was monitored by Dr. Ghadir during weekly appointments until I reached the milestone of 10 weeks and "graduated" from SCRC. Dr. Ghadir and his entire staff genuinely celebrated our success, and I cannot express enough gratitude for their invaluable guidance during this challenging period of my life. It's difficult to maintain hope, but I trusted the process and, more importantly, I had complete faith in Dr. Ghadir's expertise and knowledge. He has shown me compassion and genuine caring from day one, qualities that are so important when looking for a fertility doctor. I cannot recommend him enough!!!! read more

Dr Ghadir and his team were amazing. We walked into his clinic with very slim chances of having a child. Not only did he have enough positivity, experience and knowledge to give us hope, but he threw the scientific book at my infertility and I'm now almost 5 months pregnant with our little boy.
