I've brought my car 3 different times to Jason Pilger despite Allen in Gulfport being much closer. 3 different warranty issues, Allen either lied that it wasn't covered under warranty or flat out couldn't be bothered with it. Pilger has never hesitated and got me right in every time. Late Tuesday afternoon when it was 100 degrees outside my a/c quit, in the middle of rush hour. I brought my car into Jason Pilger late Wednesday before they closed with an 8am appointment on Thursday morning. They called me at 8:20 yesterday morning having determined my compressor went out and had already ordered a new one. By 9:30 this morning the new compressor was delivered and my car was repaired. They are ABSOLUTELY worth driving a bit further. It doesn't matter if it's a warranty issue or not. It doesn't matter that I didn't buy my car from them, they take care of me every single time! i bought a car with 100000 miles warranty and gap insurance. i drove over an hour to get my free oil change and tire rotation. They charged me $142.12 and refused to honor agreement. I bought a car at Hyundai in Bellingham Washington and was never charged for any services before 100000 mile. Know that Jason Pilger Hyundai doesn't honor not honor agreement so there's no sense in paying for warrant. I will never buy from them again read more

I purchased a 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe from Jason Pilger, Gautier MS in March 2025. Within 30 days and less than 3,100 miles after washing and drying my car, I noticed a 2 inch patch of missing clear coat and less than 1/2 inch of paint missing from my front bumper. I immediately went back to the dealer to file a warranty claim since the paint is under warranty for 3 years or 36,000 miles. It was very obvious that this damage was not caused by an outside influence such as running into something or something hitting the bumper. The repair technician (Robert) advised they would submit a claim and it would normally take one or two weeks. Four weeks later no response from the dealer. I questioned the delay weekly and still no action, even asking my sales clerk (Jeff) to intercede. Since I was not getting any satisfaction from Jason Pilger service department, I went to Matt Bowers in Gulfport 3 weeks after notifying Jason Pilger. The outstanding service manager at Matt Bowers, Vinh, advised me that a paint warranty claim like this would normally take 2 hours IF SUBMITTED, not the 1 or 2 weeks as stated by Jason Pilger personnel. I waited at Matt Bowers and 1 hr 16 minutes later, this dealer received a positive warranty claim and I was advised to return the car at my convenience for a warranty paint repair. I returned the car the next morning and 4 work days later my car bumper was repainted under a warranty claim. The service manager at Matt Bowers actively worked my warranty claim and received approval in a little over 75 minutes. Compare that service with the service manager at Jason Pilger who advised me it takes time and they WOULD CALL ME WHEN APPROVED. Four weeks later and no action! Hyundai advertising highlights the "best warranty in the industry"! I'm guessing this does not include the very best service technicians available or after sales service! My recommendation, if you need service from a Hyundai dealer, don't go to Jason Pilger. I'm certain, had I known this poor service submitting a warranty claim prior to purchasing a car I wouldn't have gone there! read more

Called them Monday about Genesis G80. Was told they had one. Call this AM from Palace Casino to confirm before I drove 17 miles to look at it. Was told they had one there. Got there and was told it was sent to Mobile today but could have it back in one hour. Why would it be sent to Mobile and brought back the same day? Then was told there is a G70 here. Ok let's look at it ony to find out that it was sold yesterday. So, I wasted 34 miles and time because these inept clowns could not find their stock and tell there were no cars in stock which I would consider buying. Suggested they take a picture of me leaving because that would be the last chance to see my ass there. BTW this was to be a cash sale. They must have a lot of money. Now I call the owner! read more

I bought my car approximately 2 years ago. I had great service as far as sales go but the service department has a lot to be desired. First of all you can't get the service manager to call you back. Second everything that has been wrong with my car has been someone else's fault and nothing they ever claim they did. I have spent over 4k to fix a car that was only 3 years old and still am scared of what will have to be fixed next. If you buy Hyandai don't use their service department for your repairs or maintenance. Ask if you can use another location. read more

I live an hr and a half away from the dealership. I was interested in a vehicle I saw online and it was listed at MSRP. After talking to a sales person over the phone several times, I traveled to the dealership with every intention of purchasing the vehicle. After wasting an hr of our time, they showed us a price that was 5,000 more than what was listed online saying it was an addendum for "fair market value." My fiancé and I weren't willing to pay that and even though we were frustrated we wasted our time, we thanked them for our time and left. The next day I get a call from the internet sales manager who was anxious to make the deal and offered me an additional 2000 for my trade and 500 off for my fiancé being former military getting the price where we wanted to be. I talked to him twice and my fiancé spoke to him several times and traveled back to the dealership ready to purchase the car based on the out the door price he gave me on the phone. When we arrived at the dealership he showed us the same buyer's order we saw on our first visit with only the 500 off and claimed he never told us that and said he could only get us more off if we financed through the dealership but couldn't guarantee that he could beat the 2.79% rate I was already approved for. After some back and forth, he admitted that he did tell us he was going to give us 2000 more on the trade but he made a "mistake" and couldn't make the deal. At this point, we were both obviously very frustrated that our time was wasted a second time and asked to speak to the manager. He wouldn't honor what was told to us, gave an insincere apology and then offered us $40 in gas. It takes $30 of gas one way for my current vehicle! I know that car salesmen can be very shady but this is just terrible service and deceitful and not good practice for people in the customer service industry. read more

When test driving a 2023 Elantra Hybrid Limited because there was no regular Limited available at the time, the salesman JOE said that all the features were exactly the same as the Limited. He was rude, short, and adamant when asked about the features and kept repeating himself saying that the features were the same. Upon receiving the car AFTER I purchased it, the car does not have memory seats, wireless Apple Car Play, or a powered passenger seat. The car did not have floor mats and I had to wait a week to drive a total of 90 minutes back and forth to the dealership to pick them up after they were delivered. The Blue Link did not work for two weeks, even after it was verified that I was enrolled. The worst part was that I was charged a "market adjustment" on top of the MSRP because the salesman Joe said that it was a norm amongst all Hyundai dealerships. After purchasing the car, the dealership in Slidell debunked this. The Slidell Dealership does NOT over charge. I was over charged over $2,000 from the sticker price at the Jason Pilger Hyundai location. I will not recommend this dealership or the salesman to anybody ever. I have guided 2 people to the Slidell dealership to avoid this dealership. All I am asking for is to pay the sticker price (of course including taxes and title) but after talking to the salesman and the GM, they stand by their "Markup adjustment". Long story short, please go elsewhere to buy a Hyundai. read more

Called dealer on a 2015 Tucson listed. Bakely ensured me the car was available. I drove from Florida to look at the car. I called Bakely from welcome station and told her I was on the way. Arrived and she was not there. One of the salesmen tried to get me to find another car. The sales manager came over and I told him what I wanted and nothing else. He told me they did not have the car. Since I do not see Bakely on their staff photos makes me wonder if she is the one answering phones. Just checked web site and the 2015 Tucson is still listed. Today, Saturday, I had a break down. My horn was doing a crazy beeping noise different than the alarm which ran my battery down and I couldn't even put my windows back up. Well I called Hyundai's Road side assistance. I was told that they would gladly tow the car to the closest dealer. Also told me that it would be a good idea to call the dealership and let them know that my car was coming there. This was at 1:45-2:00 in the afternoon and I was told the wrecker would get to my location at about 2:45. So I called and was told by the dealership that they start closing the gates at 2:45 and closed at 3 so no one would be there to accept my car. I explained that I was a loyal Hyundai customer from out of town and who my regular service dealership was and asked if they didn't make exceptions for people like me. He said the car could be left outside the gate or the tow service would take it to the yard till Monday. (Remember those open windows?). I then mentioned that again and also wondered if they had a loaner that I could use till they could repair my car. NOT THAT EITHER. I said "So basically you're saying I'm out of luck and y'all don't tack care of loyal customers. I was then reminded that I wasn't their service customer. I was about to pay $300.+ just to take my car back to my home dealership so my people(who would wait for me) could take care of the VERY DISAPPOINTED customer even though their service dept was also closed. Thankfully my husband and a friend somehow got the car started and no crazy horn noises. I called Jason Pilger's in Gautier and let them know the car did start and I would see what it was going to do over the next few days. They advised that I go ahead and drop the car off with them because it could happen again and there is no one there at all on Sunday. I had an excellent service. I've had my new car shortly under four months and it is serving my family and I well. Due to the busy schedule that í have, it's hard to schedule maintenance for my vehicle. Fortunately, Jason Pilgier Hyundai has always made my maintenance schedule convenient for me. My visit was not only convenient in timing but was done in a very precise amount of time and waiting for it to get finished was a pleasure. I had my sick mother with me during this time and she did not even complain because the servicemen performed in such short timing. (which is very rare because my mother is an impatient person at times). The servicemen even removed a stain from my backseat.
