Was a favorite since they opened. Food was always fresh and tasty, salad bar is still well tended to. Covid did great damage with staffing at East Peoria location. Can't blame covid now, place is deteriorating rapidly. Sandwiches have shrunk: Deli Club and Corned Beef sandwiches now barely rate. Corned beef, pastrami, and roast beef are very tough. Salad bar is still highly rated. Most booths show signs of hard wear, with rips and stains. Prices are way up even with current events considered. 3 stars down from 5 and probably will drop lower. The employees were friendly. On that point, I would give 5 stars. The food was ok, at least most of it. The bread on my New York Yankee was stale. It was so stale that parts were as hard as a crouton. I would give 3 stars for that. Accuracy was the worst. They forgot the chocolate milk from the kid's meal and the chips from one of the adult meals. These 2 I caught before we left so I went inside to get it fixed. What I didn't realize is that they also forgot the pickles that came with 2 of the sandwiches. Also, the menu offered the option to add bacon to the potato soup. I didn't taste any bacon. There was a time I would have given 5 stars. My son loves the chicken bacon ranch baked potato. At first we received the potato with thee ranch dressing on it. Then, they started giving a container of ranch. For the past several months, we didn't get ranch at all! I started ordering it with extra ranch so I didn't have to hold up the line checking my bag for ranch or pulling away and having to run back in. The place feels new, and staff are running around everywhere. Love the have new menu options, and the specials always rotate. On this trip I had the Managers Special with 1/2 sandwich and a trip to the salad bar. Had a club royals, yumm.. Salad bar was well stocked and happy with my selection. My only wish would be to have a little more lighting. Felt dark while in the restaurant, but I'm sure the cloudy rainy weather outside didn't help. Stumbled across this place while in the Peoria area a couple weeks ago and was quite impressed. COVID as obviously hurt their normal way of operation, but I was politely and quickly served a wonderful half sandwich and soup that were both amazing. I will definitely stop back here again. Extremely slow. Came at 3pm. No one was in line, few people inside. Took 10 minutes to get the food.

The place is always busy, even during off times, so that's a good indication that something is right. The salad bar is always fresh and well stocked and the counter food has been great when we've ordered it. I usually get a soup and salad, though. Even my kids like it, so it's gotta be good, because they are straight up McDonalds lovers. But the big hit with them (ok, me too) is the free ice cream. You'd be amazed how many veggies you can shove down their little throats if they get to take a bit of chocolate ice cream every third bite. I had to rate them down a notch because frankly, it's expensive. It was as much as a sit down meal at a family restaurant (with tip) for the five of us for lunch recently - almost $40. And one of our kids just had her tonsils out, so all she got was a cup of soup. If she had ordered a complete kids meal, it would have been $45. Other than that, the place is clean, the bathrooms are clean (BONUS!) and the service is fast and friendly. Free ice cream takes it over the top! read more

Quality and efficiency rarely meet in such a clean and healthy setting. From the cafeteria style ordering process, to the incredible, fresh food delivered to your table, Jason's Deli is a very good experience that will not cost you too much money. Especially when your younger sister pays for it, as was the case with my meal. I had half a salmon steak sandwich with a side salad bar (one trip) and a side of fruit. The entire thing was delicious, the salmon sandwich was high quality, the fruit was fine and the salad bar is sure to please anyone who takes their vegetation seriously. The people were all energetic, and friendly. It's a great new addition to East Peoria's expanding levy district and should enjoy a long, healthy life. read more

Went through the drive thru for faster service around 11:45 AM on a Wednesday. There was 1 car ahead of me but it still took 10 min from start to finish. The staff member who took my order and completed check out was friendly and knowledgeable. When I returned to work I found the chips I ordered were wrong and the price I paid was higher than expected. I tried to complete a review and enter my rewards as suggested on the receipt but the website kept kicking me off. I contacted customer service and they said they'd enter the visit for me. read more

In our quest to eat healthier we decided to cross the bridge (literally) in search of a salad bar with better choices! It's tucked away on the back of a building in the new Levee Dist. but was pretty easy to find. We definitely arrived on a busy day! As we walked in and were checking out the salad bar, a woman told us that if we just wanted the salad bar, we could order at the kiosk. Due to that experience, I have real doubts if that person was even an employee as it was a huge fail and we never saw her again. So the kiosk times out after about 5 seconds on a page and kicks you back to the beginning of the process so I do NOT recommend this feature for your first several visits. Then, after many, many restarts we completed the process but the machine was out of paper so we didn't get a receipt. From there, we went to the order counter where the staff person was utterly mystified about how the kiosk worked although she eventually found our order on her computer. She waved us on to the end of the order line to pick up our trays. At the end of the line were some frantically busy people who had ZERO idea what we ordered so we just kind of kept repeating our order really slowly while they ran around and got each part. They were very trustworthy because we could've just been listing off items we wished we had ordered. ;) You get a plate for the salad bar and then need to "trade" it back in at that counter to get a new plate (we discovered that by reading it on the sneeze guard of the salad bar itself, who needs customer service!!). The salad bar is outstanding and what has completely saved this trainwreck review. Yum TWO types of quinoa salads?!?! Low cal honey-mustard dressing?? So many great toppings and all very fresh. The only drawback is no protein choices, you have to pay extra for a meat choice. We tried a couple cups of soup. The "spicy" seafood was very mild and the chicken chili burnt my tongue off spicy so it's a flavor crapshoot. We sat by the drink station which also turned out to be the dish return station for the bus-people and man, they sling those plates in there like Frisbees! I was just waiting to hear one crack but they must be glazed concrete. So two salad bars (one with added chicken), two cups soup, and one tea was $27. But with the salad bar unlimited, I would still say that is a good deal. If that was my total for a couple sandwiches and soups, I would not be as satisfied. I will be returning and swiftly bypassing that dastardly kiosk for a human who knows what's up. read more

We both ordered the Lobster Chowder which has a creamy buttery flavor to it. You can taste the chunks of lobster and the corn. Very good dish on a cold winter's day! I had the Wild Salmon-which that has a perfect filet of salmon with tomatoes, lettuce and dressing. Not your ordinary fish sandwich at all, The service was the best part of all. It was quite busy on a Saturday night but this place has the most cheerful staff I've seen in quite some time. It didn't take long at all to get my carryout meal. All the staff was very helpful and delivered to me by Gabriella with a smile! The menu is fairly extensive as well. Something for everyone. read more

Great sandwiches, large variety of soups, and excellent salad bar. And free soft-serve ice cream! Jason's Deli can be pretty pricey. However, through their specials, you can pair up a 1/2 sandwich with soup or salad for about $8-$9 (depending on the sandwich). Service was so-so. The salad bar was phenomenal. I'm not normally a salad person but with all of the options I created a salad masterpiece with spinach, bacon, bleu cheese, pickles, and many other vegetables. There are a few mini desserts too that were average. My friend enjoyed the chocolate dessert and chili she ordered. Mac and cheese is good here as well. The New York Yankee was piled with delicious corn beef. I wasn't a fan of the bread. Even though it was only a 1/2 sandwich, it was a hearty portion. I have loved this place since finding it in Phoenix over 10 years ago. Bloomington had 1 a few years earlier and finally here. Everything is nice and fresh and seems very clean. Salad bar is the best in town after Alexander's and is constantly wiped down and restocked. Lots to choose from. The half sandwich and salad bar is more than plenty and kinda on the healthy side. My personal favorite is half of the New Yorker...corned beef and pastrami on rye, a great deal. Another is the French dip. Soups can be found at Costco oddly enough but I rarely trade soup for salad at Jasons. Condiment station with spicy add ons...hot peppers salad sprinkles etc. Lots of options, a great place. My only complaint really is that the chips that come with the sandwiches are ALWAYS MANGLED...ALWAYS. That's fine if you like eating chips with a spoon...I do not.
