Adorable old corner bank turned into a coffee house/ sandwich shop. Old Bank Safe doors add to the conversational decor. Charming for a ladies luncheon. It is the menu that attracts the men. Good down home food made largely in house. I got the lunch combo with the 1/2 Gran's chicken salad sandwich (described as a no nonsense southern chicken salad!) and the stuffed pepper soup. The chicken salad was perfect and light, not too gloppy on the mayo, chicken cooked well and some nice celery crunch added for texture. The soup was also homemade: good flavor, not too salty and very homey. Topped it off with fresh brewed ice tea (two choices: regular or flavored). Too full for dessert! From the outside it doesn't look very big but once you get in you realize it extends further back and can accommodate a good amount of customers. I thoroughly enjoy the doors towards the back of the cafe. They look like bank vault doors. Absolutely love that! The menu choices are very enjoyable, everything I read looked good. I had the "My Two Boys Special" and a salad. For the price I paid the portions were great. A good helping of salad and the sandwich was absolutely delicious. A beautiful little cafe with a great historical feeling to it. It is a place I definitely recommend for a nice delightful lunch. If you like your lattes then you wont run out of options here. I count a little over 20 different flavors of lattes. Trust me when I say that you will not go wrong with this family owned cafe.
