I love Jason's. Usually go at least once a month if not more. The baked potatoes are like 2 meals in one. I always get a Shelly and I love their Black Currant Tea. The employees have always been nice and respectful. My son usually picks what is in season or special to try and has never complained. I was kind of shocked reading some of the reviews talking about the employees and attitudes. One Star - Extremely Disappointed I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience deserves to be shared. I ordered a grilled cheese and tomato sandwich for takeaway, expecting something simple but decent. What I received was a sad excuse for a meal--folded up, carelessly thrown into the container like an afterthought. It was smashed, soggy, and looked like someone literally tossed it in without any pride or care. I didn't even take a bite. Straight into the bin it went. My family enjoys Jason's. The place is always clean and the staff is always friendly. The food is great. I would make one recommendation. I order a salad & drink for myself and a bowl of soup & drink for my mother. She's seated because she's unable to stand long with her walker. What came to the table was a small cup of soup because even though I ordered 2 drinks the cashier automatically rang me up for a salad/soup combo meal. Maybe clarify before assuming. The reason is she told me I can't change too many things or I had to build my own sandwich. I proceeded to tell her nobody has ever told me that before. We came today for lunch. When you walk in, you're confronted with a giant sign advertising new specials. We order with the very friendly and pleasant cashier but when my daughter ordered one of the specials, they were all out so she ordered a new sandwich, the caprese panini, which she did not like. Panera makes a really good caprese panini currently so it would been tough to top. We paid, got our drinks, and sat down. A friendly worker brought our food and I noticed there were no pickles. I go to the food counter and tell them we didn't get any pickles and ask for them. At least 3 workers didn't know anything about getting pickles with a sandwich. One motions for me to get them off the salad bar? I said, "no, the sandwiches normally come with a pickle spear?" Finally, a worker rudely explains to me loudly that, "I would have had to order that with our sandwiches; they don't give pickles unless you ASK for them." Oh? I pull my receipt out to show her every sandwich is noted with a pickle. She just turned and huffed!? No apology or sheepish response indicating an "oops." Wow. Thankfully, a kind worker handed me over the 4 pickles but good grief. I ordered the new spicy Sicilian sandwich and it was completely submerged in oil. You can see the sandwich was sopping and there was a pool of it on my plate too. It was my son's turn to choose the restaurant today and he chose Jason's for the free ice cream -- which was completely inoperable. This is our second time eating at Jason's and the first time was at the mall location and there is no comparison. I had the half Pastrami and chicken pot pie soup and my wife had the Harvest turkey and Mac and cheese. We would have gave you a higher review but couldn't. Walked in and was surprised at how large it was inside. Was greeted by the cashier immediately. She was very nice and answered my question. I ordered a chef salad to go. It was done in a few minutes. Disappointing....placed an online pick up order for a sandwich and a baked potato. Arrived 20 minutes later to the mostly empty place only to be told the order was not ready followed by the employee leaving to go outside for evidently an impromptu employee party in the parking lot. 10 minutes later another employee stops to again say the order was not ready. Finally the manager arrives, asks my name and then goes behind the counter and prepares the order. I can only surmise that it takes about 45 minutes to prepare a baked potato. I asked the manager if it would have just been quicker for me to not order online and just order when I arrive. instead of any sort of explanation or gosh forbid an apology for the wait, I receive a large order of attitude. I had my very first experience with Jason's Deli as part of a prayer lunch I attended in Durham, NC this past Saturday. I had the Veggie lunch box with a very well put-together spinach and mushrooms wrap and sides. It was surprisingly EXCELLENT in every way. I went to Greensboro, NC for a meeting the next day and Googled if Jason's Deli was there. I found it and ordered the same thing but sadly it was far from the mark as I discovered once home in Fayetteville, NC. Willing to overlook the experience, I Googled if we had one near me. I treated my daughter and me hoping to have another same order as we had in Durham. We reach home and was horrified that the wraps were literally assembled with a splash of very old, shriveled looking spinach and a hint of mushrooms and a smear of the other ingredients. I decided that I would never go back to another Jason's Deli again. But I couldn't get passed the poorly looking wrapped compared to the first experience that I couldn't bear to eat it! So I called the store to ask to speak with a manager about my experience and to be given a refund for the wrap(s). I was warmly greeted, listened to and given a sincere apology. The manager not only welcomed me to return it for a refund, but assured me that I would be given a do-over. The manager I spoke with, Mr. Marcus, kept his word and was just as disappointed as I was that my wrap was nowhere near their quality of standards. He insisted to make the refund and replace to 2 wraps I purchased for my daughter and me with a side. I realize people do things differently but it meant so much that Mr. Marcus' customer service made my experience FAR better and won me back as a customer. Thank you!!! read more

Recently visited Jasons Deli and watched as my order was prepared. There were several female employees with at least three feet of unkept stringy hair that was obviously hard for them to work their job with. No head covering or attempt to tie it up out of their way of doing their job. This was kitchen staff in plain site of the front counter. There was one female employee in view sitting on a food prep counter staring at her phone while others had to work around her. No state or county health grade was posted either which is another violation. The corned beef was so tough that when bitten into would completely come out of the sandwich. The chili had meat gristle in it as well and the whole $60.00 lunch was thrown in the trash after returning with it. Food delivery is a joke. They use DoorDash, but can't give you the status of an order after it is picked up. I ordered for a 12:06 lunch delivery and not it is 1:00. I called to cancel and they were real defensive and told me to call DoorDash. I told them that I ordered it from Jason's Deli website and not DoorDash. I went to Jason's Deli for this first time about a year ago. I had a "New Yorker" which is a Pastrami and Corned Beef with swiss on rye. It is PACKED with meat and more than I can handle in one setting. I have since learned to order the "Manager's Special" which is half a Sandwich with pickle spear and chips, and you get to choose either a cup of soup or fruit with cream cheese dip. Great value and a big meal no matter which half sandwich you choose. A few weeks ago they ordered for a luncheon at work and got food from Jason's delivered. It was a HUGE order and I just want to say that they brought it about 11 and it was still good when I got to it around 12:30. I had been in the mood to try something new so I went with the "Beefeater" This sandwich is sliced roast beef REAL meat not fakey tasting and has swiss and mayo on a small french roll, with AuJus to dip it. YUM really good! And don't let the size of the bread throw you off because it is packed full of meat and VERY filling. Prices are reasonable for what you get. Went to lunch with my daughter last week and thought I would give the "Beefeater" another try.. Even better when it was hot!!!! I may have found a new favorite. I wish there were more locations around Fayetteville... In Dallas there are several stand-alone Jason's that are convenient. Just moved back from WA . No Jason's there. Not a big deal for the crowd it holds. The club royale was a by bland for all the menu details. I dont remember eating the bacon at all and know if it was on there. It didn't meet my expectations at all but it was pretty healthy tasting which is partially what I was looking. I wasnt asked what type of chips I wanted. I would have preferred kettle over regular grease chips. I may stop in again and design my own sub. I'm looking forward to my heck of a deal turtle cheesecake though for tonight's treat. The cheesecake was delicious. Will return for that and mate build my own sub. Parking is horrible if you're only stopping in for food. I'm not sure if side parking is accepted for takeout. read more

Five star review for the corn beef sandwich and salad bar. Staff is on their cell phones and hanging around talking with each other rather than helping customers. It the first time my father and I went here and he does not want to return. I picked the small amount of wilted greens out of the salad mix and put them on the bar stainless steel. Spotted a clean table after some looking. Had to ask for deli mustard three times (after being first given regular mustard) since the deli corn beef sandwich was delivered to our table dry without condiments or having been asked what we wanted on it. As I've said this was our first time. When we arrived we thought we were standing in line only to discover it was the employees visiting with each other. We had to ask what to do every step of the way. We went to order and were told "I don't do orders" by the only guy standing by the registers. Meal was fresh, I got half croissant sandwich with a salad, the salad bar was open. They give you plastic gloves to use for when visiting the salad bar. We were dining in and there were at least 5 tables that were not cleared and every other table marked off. If management is going to mark off tables try to clear the tables in a timely manner so patrons can sit down. I get it that it was busy but a better job needs to be done at peak hours or limit dine in folks from entering and ordering their food only to discover there isn't a place to sit. Gotta say Jason's Deli is one of my favorite places to eat in Fayetteville. I am not going to fake the funk and claim to be a salad kind of girl, but this is the best salad bar in town. It is similar to a Panera in that you order at the counter. However, someone delivers the food to your table. It certainly isn't table service, but an odd mix. This is fine when you have a small group, but the "delivery" w/ a larger group was a little dicey. I think it would be easier if they just called a number when the food is ready and you pick it yourself. I will let Jason's Deli know this next time they ask for my opinion (just kidding). They have free DELICIOUS soft serve chocolate and vanilla ice cream available w/ every purchase. 1st Visit - I made the mistake of ordering a sandwich. There was nothing wrong w/ it, but I didn't even look at the salad bar before I ordered. 2nd Visit - A little smarter this time, I ordered the salad bar. I am not a soup person, but they have several choices. The bar is kept very clean and well stocked w/ fresh items. I love the three bean salad and fiesta corn. They also have a few desserts (pudding/ice cream). 3rd Visit - We held a "luncheon" here from work w/ about 20 people. I wasn't quite sure how this would work out given the size of our group and taking place during a peak time. It worked out okay, but it was difficult for the servers to deliver to so many people at once. It wasn't bad by any means, but not seamless either. I recently held a little gathering at my house. I went to Jason's to price out some of their catered selections. Honestly, it seemed a little too pricey. If you were holding an offsite for work or a large meeting, it might be worth it, but for a private party at home - I could easily get those items much cheaper elsewhere. I did notice that they delivery and set up their catering. Good to know for future event planning. Jason's is a little "pricier" for lunch than fast food, but the selection and ability to eat something light and healthy is unmatched. Will continue to eat here. read more

I've been coming to Jason's Deli for a few years. I am selective where I eat. I normally eat gumbo or pasta. Today, I was half way through my gumbo when I bit something hard. It was a spring presumably from a pen. I went to the manager and showed him. His response was that there's nothing like that in the store. My meal was like $6 so there was no financial benefit for me returning my food. Secondly, I don't want to eat somewhere which I could have been choked, Instead of going back and forth, I just got my $6 refund. The scenario could have played out differently if it was a child. They did say that they would look into where it came from. For all we know, there's other pieces in the pan. Update; The manager called. The whole pot was thrown away. This was my biggest concern. I've eaten at many JD's over the south and it's one of my favorite places to eat... I always get the same thing though, the beefeater, which is a half pound of roast beef. I've not been able to figure out how JD can provide such quality food with hefty amounts of meats at the same price as the sub shops... why would anyone eat at subway or else when you have JDs for the same price? Anyway, this location had the best beefeater I've ever eaten... perfect bread and delicious meat/ cheese combination that was over the top yummy. Spicy seafood and pot pie soups were right on time, and wife said Chicken salad was terrific. I have never eaten at any Jason's Deli, we always talk about going but never went. But today we were on Freedom Parkway Dr and decided to try it. We went through the drive thru, did not know much about the food there. Christopher took our order and was very patient with us. He went above and beyond to explain some of the menu to us(thankfully no one was behind us). The service was excellent and the food was good as well!
