I almost walked out of the cafe the minute I walked in, the "cleaning eating" theme does not match the ambiance. That said, the food was served hot, fresh, and tasty. It's so hard leave a review, because sometimes hopes & expectations just aren't met - but is that any one's fault? When I walked in, I was a bit dismayed that the staff at the counter didn't address or acknowledge me. I'm not expecting a, "NORM!!!!-type greeting .... But as a brand-new customer, I shouldn't have to pull information about the business out of the staff. My first inquiry was literally responded to without words, but instead with a glance & gesture towards a piece of paper. I had to ask again for help....another staff member walked up & helped. The absolute worst customer service I can remember. It took 25min to get a "The Rock". It's a 6oz bison burger with turkey bacon. After 15min of waiting I asked about how much longer for the sandwich. The girl with a brown ponytail and glasses said it takes awhile because it's bison. At 24min I asked again, and she rolled her eyes, breathily said "I'll go check again", and walked into the kitchen. A minute or so later she walked out and packed my food in a bag without a word, handed it to me and said "..thanks". Excellent! My family spends about $140 a week for the 21 meal program and it's a God send. 1. It saves time when you come home from work and have pre-made meals. More family time and more time for exercise. 2. I honestly think the healthier meals taste better than anything I can cook. The BBQ and sweet potato dish is my favorite so far. 3. My boys love it. My twelve year old eats everything and it fills him up. The toddler loves their food as well. Their kids menus is awesome as well when you sit down and eat instead of preordering. 4. Since we don't go to restaurants any more because of the pre-made meals, we have saved a ton of money. $560 seems like a lot of money to spend a month on the meals, but when you consider how much you save on not eating out, the proof is in the pudding. I took my family out to Joe's Crab Shack for Mother's Day that cost $144 for four people. We are saving over $600 a month from not eating out. I've lost eighteen pounds so far, my wife has lost five, and my oldest son (12 years old) has lost four pounds. The biggest think is the fat loss. The pounds are one thing, but when you go from a size 44 to a size 38 in two months, it's saying something. The food here is 5 star, but the service is sloooooooooow. On average, I wait about 30 minutes for my order. That means that there are times I have waited longer than 30 minutes. I order build your own bowls. I would come here every day but I don't have time! If I'm in the area and not in a hurry and it's also within their narrow window of hours, then I come. I always cross my fingers and hope it'll be quicker, but it never is. It becomes a game of stinkeye chicken... am I going to give them the stinkeye first for taking so long, or are they going to give me the stinkeye wondering why I've been sitting there so long. I was in town for business and trying to figure out how I was going to do my meal prep and stay on track with my macros and prep for my first competition. A quick search online landed me here, at Clean Eatz. At first, ​I thought it was just a healthy option to grab a bite, maybe a wrap or something simple and that was it. Well, to my surprise, and great joy this location is so much more than that. I grabbed some lunch with a co-worker, and we both enjoyed our meal. While eating I was asking a number of questions of the staff, and they were very knowledgeable​, helpful, and friendly. Once I finished my lunch I grabbed four pre-packaged meals from the freezer. The labels on the packaging made it easy to identify the meals that would fit my needs. On another note, as a defense contractor, ​there are only so many places you can use your card to buy food (for instance, I would not be authorized to purchase food from a grocery store to prepare my own meals). Well, this worked out very well for me at Clean Eatz because I could easily pick up two days worth of food under my daily per diem rate for the Fort Bragg area. Overall, I was very satisfied with the product, portions, and quality. I did add seasonings to some of the food items, but that is a personal preference​ thing, I appreciated the fact that the food was not heavily salted, allowing me (the customer) the flexibility​ to add their own touch. Knowing what I now know of the business, my next trip to Fort Bragg will be even better because I can call ahead and order, sign up for their meal prep program, or just stop in and pick up meals from the freezer section. Meh. Ate here for lunch with a friend. I got the chicken salad. It was nothing special. Canned chicken mixed with mayo, scooped onto some lettuce and topped with raw pecan halves and craisins. Pretty bland, and the portion was on the small side for the price. Also this place kinda made me roll my eyes. The employees are dressed in gym clothes (tank tops to serve food...kinda gross!) and there are all these signs on the walls everywhere about losing weight - a little preachy and a bit of an overkill. My food took a really long time to come out (especially since they told me that they make it ahead and all they do is scoop it out onto some lettuce) and I had asked for it "for here" and it arrived in a styrofoam to go container. My friend's food, who ordered before me, came on a nice plate but after mine and there was some confusion. They kept asking her to repeat her name to make sure it was hers. So weird. Also note that you have to take your own food to your own seat. The "clean" options made me roll my eyes too. White rice isn't clean (neither is brown rice, really for that matter). You can't order a "bowl" without some sort of processed grain. I hate that this place claims to be "clean" when they serve the same stuff as any other restaurant. I was also disappointed in the lack of salad options, the only real "clean" thing on the menu - if you wanna ignore the fact that the chicken in the salad comes from a can. Overall, this place isn't really worth going to again. It's just trying way too hard to be "healthy" and not hard enough to be tasty or a good restaurant. If you are into Clean Eating this place is for you. It has a cafeteria style to it like it should be next to a gym. The menus are simple but bold. The wait staff were very helpful and friendly but most of all they knew their product. I had the bison burger with kale salad. Bison was excellent not greasy at all, kale salad was fine would have been better with some raisins or dates. Turkey wraps were good also plenty of roughage. The food was so amazing! I was too hungry to take a picture however I might just order some more because of how great it tastes. I got the Clean Eatz Chicken Burger with Apple Sauce as a side. Finally a fresh alternative! I enjoyed my meal (had a mix bowl) and my husband said the Arnold wasn't bad (he's a major meat eater and felt it needed more). Generous portions is only the start of this review. The price point for the meals is excellent. The customer service is superior to other restaurants in this area. This is a family owned and operated restaurant. I indulged in an Omega salad. When I say that I indulged, it means that I felt a little guilty to eat something so healthy for me and it tasted sooooo good. This salad had beautifully cooked salmon, spinach, red onions, cucumbers, tomatoes, and goat cheese. I have to tell you that if you go anywhere else, they place a small portion of your protein on top of the salad, but at this wonderful restaurant they layer their protein throughout the salad. Awesome place with great options for a healthier meal. My boyfriend and I regularly get the frozen pre-made meals here. There's a lot of variety and I would say 9/10 times the meals are good. The staff is also very knowledgeable and helpful. It's important to note though that Clean Eatz is healthy eating -- you won't be finding extremely flavorful or huge portion sized meals. I feel this place has gone down in the quality of takeout. When they first opened I tried the Clean Eatz Turkey Bacon Burger, it was delicious. I ate here a few months ago with a group of friends, delicious. Last time I ordered takeout the burger was brown all the way through and dry. I ordered takeout today and examine the burger and it looked like a Turkey Burger. When I get home and I took the burger apart to add mustard I noticed burnt turkey bacon. The food is good but warm cherry tomatoes are quite off-putting in my book and the side of fruit was canned fruit cocktail which seemed a bit odd to me with regard to being healthy. The inside is extremely bland, almost cafeteria-like, and the signage borders on obnoxious. When I saw the sign I was immediately overjoyed because there was a healthy alternative restaurant. When I entered the building I was taken back. I wasn't greeted and the associates were extremely rude and had judgement written all over their faces. When I ordered what I thought was going to be a delicious, nutritious, and worth my money meal I soon found out it most certainly was not. As my friend and I opened up our to go boxes we soon realized that we had been served over priced prison food. I ordered a chicken bowl with brown rice, black beans, corn, and tomatoes with a side of cilantro lime vinaigrette while my friend ordered a tuna sandwich with a so called "side salad" which ended up only being lettuce thrown on the plate with julienned bagged carrots. She was given half a sandwich that contained what tasted like canned tuna with a slice of kraft cheese. There was nothing special or tasteful about her meal. I then opened my box to find a bunch of rice that tasted like it had been soaking in water all day, black beans that weren't even cooked but just served right out of the can, tomatoes that had been sitting out, and chicken from the sea (that's canned chicken if you didn't get the joke). Last but not least the vinaigrette was made with artificial lime (I'm half Mexican you can't fool me) and my spoon was broken. To say that our experience was absolutely horrid is an understatement. I will not be returning for another try especially since this one left me with a possible $20 food poisoning. Tried this for the first time yesterday... Sorry but in my opinion not worth $8.95 plus tax for their version of a Cobb Salad. It came with arugula and 2 strips of very tough bacon that was torn into pieces, 4 cherry tomatoes, 2 hard boiled eggs cut into halves, and a small maybe half a chicken breast cut into strips but was served Hot on the salad. This kinda wilted the salad underneath. Included was a maybe 2oz portion of dressing. It did include a drink crystal lite drink mixed water or some type of cucumber water. Not really tasty.
