The service was absolutely ho. I had called in my order and when I got to the location I went inside to pi up food. I had to wait for some to come to register and the girl who rang up my order never acknowledged if my order was ready she went ahead with next order behind me. I had so sit and wait after she rang up multiple other customers and my food was sitting on the counter the whole time. another worker asked me who I was and picked up the bag that had been sitting there since I walked in. In a simpler better time, under different management I loved Jason's deli. The food was fantastic along with good service. This is no longer the case, I get the same sandwich every time and it's amazing (used to be) very simple in fact; A club royale with no ham or bacon "I do not eat pork" with extra Turkey. So yesterday I picked up a sandwich to bring to work for lunch and a regular one for my son. My son's foods was correct he ate it great... the receipt was even correct. When I open the box today my almost $10 sandwich is just a slice of cheese and tomato. Of course I called and spoke to ryan the manager that proceeded to tell me he couldn't do anything about it. This Jason's location is quickly becoming our favorite! I'm been a patron of Jason's since the 80's and worked there when I was in college, so I know the business well! The employees are generally long term with years of friendly service to their credit. The food is fabulous! Always fresh and super generous portions! My husband is a serious Muffaletta guy and orders a whole one!!! I've had probably everything on the menu and never been disappointed! I'm a huge fan of the salad bar and Broccoli cheese soup. The beefeater is my favorite sandwich and my dad loves the Ruben! I do wish they would bring back the tortilla soup! It was soooo good and we miss it!! I've been to many locations but this is our favorite! I can also recommend both Beaumont locations, Rice Village in Houston and North West San Antonio. Order Jason's Deli while in Port Arthur. It was ok. I'll say that the Tomato Basil soup was awesome. Nice and warm, as it should be. My sandwich not so much, order a grilled cheese sandwich and I expect it to be well, grilled. I got a basic sandwich that might have spent 30 seconds on each side on the grill. This is place I always visit when I'm working here. This deli has went down hill bad. I ordered the 1/2 sandwich Beef Eater and salad like I always do. At the salad bar it was out of a lot of items which can be expected no big deal. The tea tasted bad I don't know how you can mess up tea. My sandwich was cold like it was already made prior and was served with no au jus juice which I went and got. The guy didn't even know what I was talking about when I asked for. After him asking someone else I got a cup of it. Then it was cold on top of that. While I was eating chips I got a hair and that was it. At that point I am done. I do not recommend Jason's Deli. My last experience with them was horrible. I made a online order with them and received a confirmation number. When I went to the drive thru, I gave my name and was told to pull around to the window. When I got to the window no one came and after waiting several minutes, I knock on the window and asked what the problem was. She said that they were going thru a shift change and asked me my name again. Then she came back and said she had no order for me. I told her I had made it and paid for it online, and that I had a confirmation number. Then another lady comes to the window and insist there is no order,.at this time, I ask for a manager. I try to show them my confirmation number but none of them attempts to look. The manager never comes to the window she just shouts from the back "What did you have Ma'am"?. Then they prepare it and they just shove it to me and say the receipt is in the bag and close the window. No apology or anything. The service was rude and unacceptable. read more

I never lose my appetite over a piece of grit or a leaf of lettuce that might be wilted, but I don't want to be eating dirt. Grit was bad enough on previous pieces that I had to wash my mouth out and it still didn't fix it. Kid loves broccoli and her entire cup of kids pick 4 broccoli was old and slimy. Was in the area for work and decided to stop by because I don't have Jason's Deli near me. Disappointed to find out they no longer served the Rachel sandwich but went with the Reuben instead. I am the least pickiest eater mind you, but goodness this sandwich was inedible. The meat was chewy and slimy, started to get sick after the first bite. Ended up taking everything off the sandwich and just eating the bread, chips, and pickle. Spent $12 just to end up eating that. Once again this location of Jason's deli makes me wonder how this chain can actually stay in business. Turkey sandwich on extra toasted gluten-free bread... To go order...upon arriving at the house we find it has no meat??? The chicken noodle soup was promptly tested with a digital thermometer at 114°... Now granted we live a total of 2.2 miles from Jason's deli... but I find it highly unlikely that it could drop to such an unsafe temperature in such a short time.... When a restaurant shows a pattern for the lack of attention to detail it always has to make you wonder what safety precautions are also being swept under the rug... Let the buyer beware! When we drove back to Jason's the manager was less than accommodating threw some turkey onto the same sandwich scooped another bowl of soup that came in at 130° and made no attempt to rectify the situation... There are many other delis in our area I urge you all to explore and use other avenues for your deli needs... read more

Well I hate to say it but another terrible review for Jason's deli. When in this afternoon at about 4:15 PM I counted over 20 employees behind the counter including management it was me and one other gentleman in line. The cashier apparently was having some type of problem with the register that she couldn't figure out another employee came over looked at it while all the other employees were standing around laughing and giggling and having a good time to the majors walked by completely oblivious while I stood at the counter behind the man waiting to get waited on no one ever acknowledged me nor did they help the gentleman get his order we both stood there in astonishment because nobody seem to know what to do. Finally a nice young lady walked over to try and help the gentleman in front of me apologized but at that point I was so frustrated after standing in line almost 7 minutes before even being acknowledged I told her I didn't want to eat there and I will take my business elsewhere. I happily drove down the street and around the corner and went to Subway and had a nice Subway sandwich where I was way down immediately and got great service. I don't know what's going on with Jasons deli these days but they have very poor awareness of customer service in the managers there I have no sense of urgency and they certainly don't know what's going on in their restaurant because the place is dirty and ran very poorly and efficiently they need to really look at what's going on there. After ordering ahead online, I went through the drive through. There were 4 cars ahead of me. I pulled in at 12:20 and the line moved so slow that I didn't get to the window until 12:59. On top of that we had 3 sandwich orders and bottled drinks. When the cashier at the drive thru window handed me the bag (large bag) he confirmed our order was all there including drinks. Jason's Deli is a staple in SETX. The food is delicious and the service is always good. My favorites are too many to count from the ranchero wrap, baked potatoes, amy's turkey O and more. Honestly, I have had a lot of things on the menu and it is all good. But, you have to try the broccoli and cheese soup. It is creamery and super tasty and dip some potato chips and it is pretty much soup heaven. Really though, this location is now outside of Central Mall which is great. The interior is way better with easy flow. The only weird thing I think is that the salad bar is at the front of the store and the ice cream machine is located in a weird spot. Never ever go here on a Sunday. They are not prepared to deal with the church crowds. I've had shorter waits at big restaurants like Saltgrass. The food is decent. I absolutely normally love Jason's Deli Salads. The Salad Bar, in my opinion, is phenomenal. However due to having a sick child this week I couldn't go inside and partake of the awesomeness of making my own delicious salad so I had to go through the Drive through. Day 1, I ordered the Nutty Mixed Up Salad. Upon returning home sadly there was NO balsamic salad dressing or any dressing with my to go salad for that matter. And having a sick kid and no salad dressing at home I had to swallow it down dry. (Ugh. I don't see how ppl actually do this. Gross.) So I decided the next day, Day 2, to attempt to try it again. Jason's Deli is super close to my house and the salads are usually delicious (when they come with dressing) so I attempted this yet again. I even requested extra balsamic vingarette dressing only to get home and my Nutty Mixed up Salad (literally called A NUTTY salad) had No Nuts! None! Also no cranberries or raisins as described on the menu. Not a Nutty Salad at all. 100% No Nuts & 100% disappointed. So, I feel that I will no longer be trusting the employees to make my potentially delicious salads, but will patiently wait and hope that my kid gets better ASAP so I can go inside and make myself (what shouldn't be so hard for someone who works there to make correctly) and do it right by doing it Myself. I'm not trying to be a Karen. But when they say they screw your at the drive through Jason's seriously does.. so if your looking to partake of a delicious salad go in and make it yourself. Been to JD many times but first time to a JD in Texas. Why plastic forks? Other JD's have metal forks. Ever tried eating a salad with a flimsy plastic fork? Least friendly employees in any JD I've been too, with one exception. More later on this. I got the salad bar. Fixed my plate and sat close to salad bar. This is not JD's fault. Saw a guy with enough dirt on his hands I could see his dirty hands from 20ft away. He continually used his fingers to clear the food items from tongs and dippers at the bar. It was particularly gross when he used his fingers to whip the potato salad from the spoon kept on the bar and when he used his fingers to clear the shredded cheese from tongs, placing those utensils back for the next unsuspecting person to use. Makes me think I'll never eat from a buffet again. The only shining star was the guy cleaning off the tables. This guy was on it, thorough, fast and friendly as well as addressed questions from the customers, all with a smile. Should have gotten his name. If it had not been for the great table cleaner guy, I'd given a one star. read more
