It is a fully working restaurant- not fast food so be prepared to wait longer than normal if getting food to go. The sausage links were full size (2-3 times the size of normal restaurant Breakfast sausages) The bacon was thick sliced bacon. (I don't think you get thick sliced bacon at any usual Breakfast place). And both Hash Browns and Grits on the platter. This is enough food to satisfy any hungry working man. I'm not from the area, but the place was close to where we were staying, and I like to give small businesses a try. It's Saturday morning, and busy. NOT a time where you want customer's seating themselves when your servers can't keep up; the length of time to be greeted by anyone (not our server) was about 5 minutes. The cheese on my omelette was tasteless. The omelette itself was flavorless; nothing a little hot sauce couldn't fix. The sausage was very good and I don't usually care for restaurant sausage links. My review is solely based on service as I never made it much farther than the front entrance. Walked in on a busy Sunday morning to find a line, which wasn't surprising. Stepped up next to a couple waiting to put their name on the wait list. Lady taking names turned around, got their name, didn't even acknowledge me, and turned back around. I was a little shocked that I didn't even warrant a look in the eye, so I called out and said I'd like to put my name on the list too. Ignored again. So either they don't serve people that don't look like everyone else, or this lady was poorly trained. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and assume it was the latter. I'm guessing the owner reads reviews online and actually improves off of advice from customers. I gave this place another chance because based off of my past reviews this place had massive potential because their food is delicious but there were minor things that needed improvements. Once again we visited this location and I can happily say they have fixed the flaws from the past. Seated immediately and was placing our food order within a matter of minutes and this is during a full house. Once the food was ordered it was received in an acceptable manner. One thing to keep in mind is the food here is a higher quality so don't expect a Waffle House turn around time. It's still pleasantly quick though. Thank you to the owner. read more

We walked in and I was surprised by how big the restaurant is. Judging from the outside, I was expecting just a small sit down café like type place. It's nice you can watch the cooks behind the glass window, similar to waffle house, but nicer. It took maybe 5-7 minutes for us to sit at a table. They had so many tables that needed to be bussed, so there weren't any vacant ones. Once seated, someone approached us and gave us a menu, but informed us they ran out of menus so could only give us one. Our waiter was nice and accommodating, but super busy. It took about 25 minutes to get our food, and no complaints about the food. I ordered Chorizo and eggs and it was yummy! He recommended I get some tortilla wraps with it and that was a win. My friend ordered sausage links with French toast. After getting our food, the French toast came out about 15 minutes after. We thought he forgot about it. The sausage links and French toast was decent, not the best. The sausage was super greasy. Super cute breakfast/brunch joint in Port Arthur. I'm happy to see it there, but they need to work out some kinks! What a great breakfast spot near my hotel! I'm so glad I found this place because it satisfies my two favorite things - sandwiches and breakfast. I came in the first time and was seated immediately at a clean table and had my fresh squeezed orange juice before I could even order. Nice start! I decided to go with the biscuit and gravy combo which came with deliciously fluffy biscuits covered in a warm gravy, two eggs cooked perfectly (over medium), hashbrowns and a side of bacon. The bacon was perfectly crispy because who in their right mind likes soggy bacon? Gross. It was delicious and enough food for two people. My next visit - I had the Cuban sandwich with fries. Although I've had better Cubans in Chicago and also at my fav place (the Cuban cafe in Deer Park), this was surprisingly good! The pickles and mustard really made the sandwich and I enjoyed it immensely. The fries were your typical fries but that didn't stop me from eating every last one. Service was good. A little slow at first because they were packed during breakfast time but it quickly picked up and I was plenty satisfied. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in Port Arthur. read more
