James saved us in a pickle! We attempted to paint our rental, tried numerous touch up paints, and none of them worked and it ended up looking terrible. On Monday afternoon we realized we had a problem, James squeezed in a visit within two hours, gave us a quote, and was in our place by 9 am the next day painting. During his consult visit, he also gave us a few tips and explanations about why our touch up efforts went astray. We were given such a reasonable cost, the place looks great, and he solved our problem in less than 24 hours. We're grateful and thrilled. Owner James Jasper is professional, caring, intelligent, and efficient. I did considerable research before opting to have our house painted. We wanted a quality job, meticulous detailing of the trim, and an actual painter (not a college kid working for a painter). We received four bids to paint our craftsman and none of them felt right; one was very professional, but said he wouldn't be the actual painter; two wanted half the money up front and had no references, and one wanted to charge 11K for our 1800 sq ft house. James came to us via a personal recommendation. Not only did he do a better job painting our house than we expected, he actually repaired some of the wood work, installed a new guard rail and power washed and painted our garage (something that wasn't in the quote). He came back a week later to review his work. Upon seeing a bit of paint bleeding near the roof line, he pulled out his ladder, brought over some help and repainted the roof line. We were astonished at the pride he placed in his work. All the above, and his quote was the second cheapest we received... James is in a league of his own. James just painted the entire exterior of our home. He was easy to reach and talk with. Affordable prices. He has a great work ethic in spite of what another reviewer wrote about him. I was a client during that period and unfortunately James got burned by a few unreliable employees. He did his best to find suitable replacements to complete our house as fast as humanly possible. He truly cares about his clients and the quality of the work. Sometimes things happen that are out of our control. Whatever the case, I hate for that one bad review caused by unfortunate circumstances to hurt an all around nice person trying to make an honest living. We hired Jasper painting to prep and paint the exterior of our 1912 home and were very pleased. Being an old home, there are always things discovered along the way that need extra attention. He took care of everything without even deviating from his original bid, even though it ended up being considerably more work than anticipated due to the rough condition of the house. For example, when prepping our front door for a new coat of paint, the old paint melted easily under the stripper solution, revealing a beautiful antique mahogany door. Instead of repainting, he recognized the potential and spent hours of extra time sanding, staining, and finishing it, leaving us with a stunning wood door. Many things came up along the way, but he was committed to leaving our house looking great no matter what (and providing me valuable consulting for my DIY projects!). Although James Jasper himself was the primary painter, he occasionally called in help. Every person that he brought in to help was also excellent. Jasper painting is an honest company doing honest work. We will definitely hire him again for painting projects. read more

James was responsive initially to come and look at our project. We contacted him 2 months prior to having new windows installed because we wanted plenty of time to get on his (or someone's) schedule. We had NO indication he wasn't going to do the work and 4 days before the job start he emailed that he would see us at 10am Monday. However, on Thursday afternoon he called and said he was sorry but he had to fire a guy and now couldn't do our job. Maybe he could get at it in another month, but probably not AT ALL and we should look for someone else. Needless to say I will NEVER call him again.
