It's currently owned and managed by a retired CIA couple. I've met them a couple times before. Imagine my shock when during a casual conversation with the woman owner she breaks out into full TDS, with an anti Trump rant. Calling him F***tard amongst other things. I have no idea where this anger was coming from. We weren't talking politics. During her rant, I said it's a good idea to know who your audience is. I just wanted to have a beer. She was unhinged. I'm a Navy veteran and I was wearing a navy hat, perhaps that's what triggered her? I got up and told her table that I would never be back. She said. "Good"

In order to accommodate, there are multiple bars as well. We went upstairs to the back patio and we pleasantly surprised by the set up. If this were a cooler day, fire pits could also be used. Note there is no shade available so on a hot day it may be advisable to sit elsewhere. Also there were plenty of board games available on both floors for patrons to borrow. All in all- Oredock is a solid brewery.

The brewery was only a short distance from what I suppose is it's namesake. There was a group of about six musicians playing a variety of music which I assumed to be Irish (Gaelic?) We lucked out getting two of the three bar seats. The bar area is pleasantly rustic and we really enjoyed our custom sampler of five, maybe six beers (I forget). My wife and I ordered a completely different set. All were excellent. When ordering, I failed to notice that one contained habanero peppers. I noticed my error on the first sip, but enjoyed it. Great place to go for some delicious on-site brews. Oh, they have a membership where you buy your own pottery-like mug. They are close to 1000 mugs and hung from the ceiling, on the wall, and in back rooms. They are numbered on the bottom. Very cool place.

Super helpful to mama as she tried to decide which beers to get in her flight. They actually have two outdoor seating areas - a nice patio just off the bar and a rooftop deck above the patio. We arrived too late to order from their kitchen but there's a pizza joint next door that looked like it had good stuff too. Overall, good experience, and I'd be happy to drive a half hour off the beaten path to visit again. The food is always well-prepared and balanced, the 'of the Week' selections are unique and, frankly, half of the reason that we keep coming back. The local beer scene is well-represented (taps and bottles) and rotates to keep bringing new brews to try. Taco Tuesdays are a great deal and a lot of fun with the other regulars. Regardless of the up charge, get the fries; you will not be disappointed. I'm stingy and picky, so you know those fries are worth it if I say so. Happy Holidays to Everyone at Jackson's Pit! It was a great experience and struck up a conservation with a young local. He wrote down several recommendations for us, including Black Rock Brewery and Portside, which deserve a review. I started with a French onion soup, which I normally do when I'm here, tonight it was a little less oniony than it usually is, but that just could simply be a function of whoever was ladling it up. It's still absolutely delicious. For dinner, I had the chicken piccata with a baked potato and steamed green beans. The steamed green beans are a staple while there are a variety of other sides, such as onion rings or Alfredo, etc. I was a little disappointed in the piccata this time. It was less lemony and more oily than I remember. The lemon wedge helped, but I don't think that piccata would have to need additional lemon to the sauce. The green beans also a little heavy on the butter as was the baked potato. I don't want to say that the meal wasn't flavorful, because it was and my server while really busy was an absolute gem, only that it was a little heavy with the melted butter. After many excellent experiences here, this won't turn me off to coming back again and trying something else. Especially if I can get a table in the back!
