The food here reminds me of old TV dinners, nuked at best. Beer is good , service is slow and prices are fair..

Drink more, eat less. Not a lot to be offered here. We ordered the nachos and wish I would have taken a picture for y'all to preview before you ordered. There were limited amount of chips which allowed for very soggy chips remaining's with suboptimal toppings. We witnessed folks who were eating in the dining room having to order drinks at the bar due to their service. The captive audience , aka tired snowmobilers is what's gotta keep this business in check... although their shirts say established 1996... hmm must be the surrounding investments. Would I recommend this place? No! There's better options within a short drive. Food, atmosphere and service are lacking... unless you like bright lights, bad food and being ignored. read more

Jasper Ridge Brewery is a tacky family diner chain meets barely above home brewer's basement. Nothing about this place stood out. The food is lacking any flavor or imagination and the decor is dated which makes it hard to take the beer seriously. You know what else makes it difficult to take this place seriously, no beer menu on the table for customers to review. If you're coming here to drink wine, then you're all set, because they do offer wine menus. I got the sampler tray....where not one beer stood out. The waitress dropped it off without saying a word. The names of each beer are under the glass, but there were two missing. I'm left assume they either stopped making them or ran out. Having been to Keweenaw Brewing Co (KBC), The Library, Ore Dock and The Vierling, I can easily say this place comes in last in every facet of their operation. They would do well to take notes from KBC and Ore Dock, in terms of quality of beer. And in terms of running a brew pub, they would do well to look at almost any brewery operating one. read more

I've been here a handful of times and would not return by choice. I have not had a single beer that I liked and they were out of the two that I wanted to try. I can't speak much for the food as I only came to sample the beer. But if it's the beer you want, I'd go a little farther east to Marquette to get some quality crafts. read more

This is a great brewery and restaurant. The cudighi is great and a UP must, while visiting. Solid house beer selection too!

Not impressed at all. Food had no taste. $7.00 burger ended up being way more - you pay for everything you add $1.00 for each addition. The only thing for $7.00 was a tasteless burger and fat bun. Sorry I went there! read more

The price is very good. Beer is OK. I love microbrews and have tasted over 1000 and these are average. The food is also average. Or at least the pot pie is. Nothing bad, just nothing outstanding. read more

The food. Not bad. The beer....well okay. The service is a bit lack luster if you have a big group.

If you are heading east on M28/US41, hold out for Negaunee or Marquette for better dining options. If you are heading west, cross your fingers and hope the cafe in Humboldt or the Moose Drop Inn in Michigamme are open. JRB has high prices for average to below average food. $10 for a frozen hamburger patty with potato chips and a pickle is too much. We have tried it a few times hoping to find something good. What an awesome place to eat. Simple basic decor make for a comfortable environment. The menu is huge lots of options and everything we had was delicious. I had the miner burger and it was amazing. Also had the home brewed root beer and was not disappointed. read more

The beer is really good! Come out to try just that! The pizza, ya, no! The sausage is VERY clove prominent! Perfect if you like clove, but of you don't, skip the pizza and try something else. Wish I could give them another try. read more

Very good food! The waitress was very nice but did mix up our orders. But everything was very tasty.

I can't say I would never go here again but I wouldn't recomend it to anyone either. The service was mediocre at best. Our waitress came up to us after sitting for a half hour and told us she was sorry for the delay but they were startig our food now. I guess I comend her for at least telling us it would be a little longer. But then we could hear her arguing with the chef in the kitchen to fix something because it wasn't right and the chef was arguing back that it wasnt his fault. We could tell they were arguing about our food because my husband requested lettuce on his burger and the chef didn't want to add it. Again I have to comend her for fighting for us but it was very unprofessional. The food came out as typical bar food. Nothing special but okay. read more

What a nice surprise! We arrived in town later in the evening when other places were closed and stopped in for a late supper. A nice, local bar atmosphere. The chicken fritter appetizer and fish &chips entree were very tasty and generously sized. Friendly staff. A good place to get a simple meal. read more

Nice family restaurant but a lot of the food is pre-made. The burgers are really good but some of the other items I've tried were clearly pre-made from frozen. So I stick with the burger menu and they do offer a large variety of burgers! But the service is always good and staff is always super friendly. read more

Walking into this place you would never expect the quality of beer that they have. Absolutely loved the blueberry and raspberry beer. The blueberries even had frozen blueberries in it. Staff was friendly and efficient. This was a stop after dinner so we didn't get to eat the food but if I were in the area again, I would definitely stop by. read more

We enjoyed the sampler and our waitress was absolutely pleasant and delightful. The food wasn't fantastic, totally in line with greasy bar food. The manager/owner/not sure guy came over to our table after we had been chatting with our server about the food and beers for a bit and creepily lingered around our table for the reminder of our time there. It was definitely off-putting and we worried that we got our server in trouble for being so friendly/chatty. It's difficult to enjoy the rest of your drinks and food (fried pickles, meh. Mostly tasted like greasy, squishy pickle- would have preferred a more firm pickle for frying) when you're getting stared at and hovered over by a random guy who is definitely not your server but clearly an authority figure. Stopped here for lunch during the ski jumping tournament. Had a cudighi and fries, good sandwich, got my cudighi fix for the trip. The Batch 600 ale was very good, more adventurous than their brews have been in my experience. Barmaid was friendly. read more

The Staff is polite, courteous and go the extra mile to help. I've never had a lazy server here yet. I have however, had some very over-priced and not-so-tasty food. I've eaten here three times and only one of those times did I enjoy my very over-priced meal. My family of four, plus one, paid over $70 for an afternoon meal on Sunday that only included 2 entrees, a large house soup, a beer flight (which isn't pricey), a couple of sodas and some fries. That's nuts. Worse, the food was cold, bland and under-cooked. We had to send my entrée back to be properly cooked. The potato soup was good though and I would consider ordering it again. We have also had the Nacho Supreme but it was missing the key ingredient. When I asked the waitress about it she had never even heard of refried beans and Jasper Ridge doesn't carry any. A Nacho supreme without refried beans is like a hamburger without the burger. It also didn't include jalapenos. Who ever heard of Nachos without jalapenos? I asked for some lime for my soda but they didn't have any. The bar is supposed to have a fully functional bar. But apparently, this bar doesn't stock lime, a key ingredient for most mixed drinks??? Also, they don't serve breakfast on Sundays so that sux. If they opened just a bit earlier and served a traditional breakfast they would own the Sunday brunch crowd. Of course how they price that meal would matter though if they have any chance of competing with Sherri's excellent breakfasts. Now, the beer is another story altogether. I've had a few different beers here, mostly stuff the bar-girl recommended...and I wasn't impressed. But then one of the waitresses recommended I try a beer flight. That was the ticket. A beer flight is a sampling of various beers from light to dark, bitter to sweet that the brewery makes. Out of 8 beers there were only 2 that I didn't care for (mostly the hoppy ones). The rest were worth the visit. The blueberry beer was AMAZING!!! Holy crap! So good. There was also a very dark beer that was pretty kick-azz and a raspberry beer that was quite memorable. I appreciate the waitresses recommendation. All-in-all, I really enjoyed the beer flight and will likely share one again soon. However, I probably won't order anything more complicated than fries here because the food just isn't good. Even the fries require extra salt and a LOT of ketchup or they end up being bland and unappealing. Maybe this place has gotten into a comfort zone. I can't say for sure. But it doesn't look like kitchen staff is trying very hard. I'll bet they can do better. If not, I probably won't be back except for an occasional Blueberry beer. read more

Bought a couple of growlers of the Old Ish IPA as I had a busy long weekend in the UP. Fine, full flavored; I'm glad they seem to be expanding their variety of beers (had a good winter ale there last winter). read more

this place was fine, especially where it is... i mean, it's a real pub/bar/restaurant, in basically the middle of nowhere. i had their potato wedges, which is their take on potato skins, and they were sort of unique and definitely better than others i've had. i agree with the person below who observed that not much on the menu was under $10 - including the burgers! read more
