It's hard to really settle on an opinion about Smoothie King on one review, but it's been around since 1973, so they've done some things right through the years. The outlet is rather large and spacious but not much as far as seating goes. It's really meant for pick up and go. I sat around for a few to get the feeling of this place. I like that they have all kinds of energy offerings here, if you look at my photos you can see some and the menus are clear when the photos are enlarged. My only disappointment that lost them one star, was that the workers that day weren't focused on the customers. I had some things I was asking or making conversation and was getting no reply or attention. It tells me they were listening to music or other things on the AirPods they were wearing. I wasn't too happy. Also, sitting in the back room when a shop is open isn't a good idea either. But they were generally courteous and made the smoothie very well. I would try it again. Couple weeks later, they forget an item in my order, luckily caught it while still at the cafe. Neither time did they offer sweet treat, as used to be custom (though they used to not make mistakes), and both times, it was attributed to someone new. Today was final straw. Ordered Wake Up Asiago BLT. Got all the way home, took a bite, sandwich had egg, bacon, sausage. Sausage not an ingredient for the sandwich, and it had no lettuce, tomato. I was going to suck it up and submit the issue through the app. Directly from order in app, I select "Something wrong?" to give my feedback. A page or so in it asks for rewards #, even though I'm replying directly to my order, so I back out, grab #, start again. Get a couple pages further, it wants my order #. I wasn't going to restart again, so I pushed through and typed out my comments. Went to submit, app froze (yes, it's up-to-date). They obviously don't want the feedback, and they figure most people aren't going to drive all the way back to the store. Me though? No meetings until 10, I've got time to burn. Took my order back, asked for a refund, manager asked me if I wanted to keep my drink. Not "let me refund you AND make this right since you've driven all the way back here and this is the 3rd time in a month," just, "you want to keep the drink you ordered to make up for your time and inconvenience, loyal customer?" Despite it all, they had one last golden opportunity to potentially keep a customer (and her family, who eats there regularly) and they blew it. Needless to say, I told her "No, I don't want my drink," on principle because when I'm done, I'm done. Sayonara!

The reason why we keep going back to Panera's, and always relying on them when traveling, and / or…read morewhen just hungry, is because they're all reliably similar. All of the menu items are reasonably priced, large in size, fresh, delicious, and are served very quickly! If people aren't fans of chain restaurants then they'll never be happy with a place like Panera, but we've been hitting these for years, and always enjoy the laid back atmosphere, abundant menu items, and relatively low price of filling items like the soup in bread bowls!
