I absolutely love the food here they genuinely make the best açaí bowls in the Jacksonville area, and the quality is always delicious. Unfortunately, the customer service has become terrible lately. Every time I come in, the employees just stand there doing whatever they want and it takes over a minute for anyone to even acknowledge you're waiting at the counter. Slow and delayed service seems to be a trend here. When I finally got my smoothie it was pretty unappetizing so I'm sad about that after spending $9. I love smoothies and especially fresh Acai bowls (my absolute favorite things) but maybe I ordered the wrong thing because I barely tasted any sweetness from the fruit in my smoothie, it was mainly a bitter taste that was not appetizing at all. The smoothie I got was called Coco Acai, it had banana in it so I was sure I'd get a little sweetness from the fruit but the amount of cacao in it overtook entirely and the banana tasted too ripe so lots of bitter flavors. The smoothie also had their Acai base which has zero sweetness it seems, so I would just be aware if you tend to like a little bit of sweet in your smoothies or Acai base. Also adding peanut butter did not help, the PB was bitter and cost me $2 :( I like to go to fresh, local smoothie and Acai places not just big chain companies like Tropical Smoothie so I've never really experienced this issue otherwise. Probably not going to be a regular spot for me which is unfortunate because their menu is very big. I'm not sure if maybe something was off that day or if they really don't add any sweetened flavors to their smoothies but just not what I'm used to. read more

I've had several frustrating experiences at this location. On multiple occasions, I've placed an online order well in advance--over 30 minutes prior--only to arrive and find that it hasn't even been started. Meanwhile, several staff members are often on their phones and not engaged. On one visit, I came to place an order in person and watched as an employee saw me and literally ducked into the back. It pains me to leave a less than 5 star review of a place I once Raved about and continuously shared on social media. My experience here yesterday was terrible. 30 minute wait for 1 açaí bowl. There were 4 girls behind the counter, and the shop was not busy when I ordered - only a couple of customers. After ordering, a few customers came in to order after me. 15-20 minutes go by, no update or sign of the açaí bowl even being started. After 20-25 mins; the customer who ordered maybe 5 mins before me seemed a little irate and told the girls behind the counter he'll take whatever they have of his order as is. Seems like I wasn't the only one who had slow/poor service and lack of communication on Fl juice & bowl's end. If I knew ahead of time that there was a 30 min wait while ordering at the counter, I would have just grabbed the pre made juices and skipped ordering a fruit bowl all together. I had a clients pet's on stand by waiting for me to get to Jax beach to tend to their needs. This 30 min set back had me worried that one of the animals I was caring for might have an accident in the house while waiting for me (plus the owners of these pets have cameras all over their house- they know what time I come and go) I can understand being slightly delayed with an order maybe 5-15 mins behind if proper communication has been displayed the entire time; but thirty minutes for one fruit bowl? Hell nothing even needs to be cooked for an order like that. I definitely saw 2 or 3 of the 4 girls just standing there behind the counter, wondering what to do while more orders were coming thru on the ticket counter. Seeing this while more orders needed to be made stressed me out for them. New employees?, the irate customer in front of me?, I don't know what the thirty minute hold up was but I do remember coming in here early 2023 and my one acai bowl taking a very long time to receive as well (not thirty minutes, but too long for one order). This visit yesterday - once at my destination, I also noticed I had a huge chunk of frozen acai or ice right in the middle of my bowl that was not blended what so ever. The pressed juices were good. Everything photographed so well too. The fruit used was fresh. This could have been just a bad day for the shop. I love poke so I was excited and immediately disappointed. I'm gluten free (allergy) and asked if the seaweed salad had gluten in it and if they could check the ingredients. The answer I got was "no it just comes in a box and we scoop it out so I don't know what's in it" um okay. Skimpy on the cilantro and wouldn't give me more when I asked - it's a free topping. We were looking for something reasonably healthy, along with some coffee, before starting the drive back to NC and this place was very close to the Airbnb where we had been staying so in we went. Based on the parking lot we figured it would be busy but we walked in and were the only customers. Turns out there's a yoga place next door and that's where all the cars came from! We got two latte's one with whole and one with non-fat milk and both were good. Also got two different smoothies with mine being a mixed berry kind of thing where I skipped the banana and both smoothies were excellent. It did take a while to get everything which I've seen in other reviews but we weren't in a hurry so it was ok in our case. I visited Fla Juice & Bowl today! They have such a nice and cozy seating area inside and outside. The outside seating area has plenty of shade for our hot Florida summer days. I love how you can sit outside and watch the cars and people walk by. I ordered And Açaí bowl. It was served with bright colored frozen fruits! It was such a pretty bowl. The açaí tasted like something was missing though but I devoured it anyway. It was kinda of tart tasting. At that point I wished I had gotten extra honey. I ordered the poké nachos but they were too salty for me. I've cut salt out of my diet so my tastebuds are probably super sensitive. The nachos were also beautifully presented! I will return and try a smoothie and maybe a sweet toast. I was excited to see that they had lox toast so I'll definitely be trying that also. This is one of my favorite places in Jacksonville. It's a nice part of San Marcos and the inside is very clean and modern. They have all kinds of Açaí bowls, smoothies,'s toast. I got the cocoa bowl and it was an açai base with blueberries, bananas, cocoa nibs, coconut and granola. My girlfriend got the original bowl that had blueberries strawberries bananas and Goji berries on it with granola. The bowls are a great price for the portion you get. Everything tasted great but not much açaí in the açaí bowl. They pack on the topping (way too much coconuts flakes, granola and other requested toppings) that it hides there is barely any açaí. 75% toppings ratio to 25% açaí base. However, the smoothie was delicious, perfect amount of sweetness and I overly loved the outside seating area with fans. I've driven by here so many times and always thought about stopping in and I finally did this weekend - no regrets! It was a little busy but that was fine with me, because the inside is relatively spacious and it didn't feel crowded. Even though there were about 5 orders placed just ahead of ours the wait wasn't long at all. They are pretty speedy! I ordered the Strawberry Fields smoothie (Strawberries, dates, vanilla) and it was super tasty. Almost like a yummy strawberry froyo in a cup. My boyfriend ordered the Poke Nachos and they were absolutely delicious as well. Fresh and flavorful and a decent portion for the price. Still love this place but taking a star away. Their online order pick up system needs to get better. I come here often and they get so busy! If I place an online order I want to be in and out. Instead, they make you get in the one line. I spend so much time waiting in line behind others placing an in-person order just to tell them I ordered online. It's very frustrating, especially because it can take up to 10 minutes of my lunch break when I purposely order an hour ahead to make sure I get my orders quicker. No amount of planning I do has ever made a difference. As someone that cannot have gluten or dairy, this place is heaven sent. Located in the heart of San Marco, Fla Juice & Bowl is a wonderful and quiet place to eat some healthy dishes and hang out. I loved the atmosphere and the chill seating area. Almost everything is gluten & dairy free I noticed. The toasts are going to have gluten in them and some have cheeses on top. However, all the smoothies and açaí bowls are made with yummy milk alternatives or none at all. They also offer a variety of drinks to pick from in a refrigerated section including freshly pressed juices. We asked the manager to mix the bowl into a shake, and she refused to help in any way. Her only answer was you need to buy a new one exactly how you want it. She could clearly see my partner was handicapped and in a wheelchair and showed no compassion, interest, or effort in resolving the situation. I've never seen a more heartless employee of an establishment towards someone so handicapped as my boyfriend. I do not recommend going to this establishment if you are handicap.
