I am new to Dallas and was in need of a new salon/stylist. I was looking for color and extensions. I had never had extensions before, and was apprehensive as I wasn't familiar with the process, the different techniques, the different types of hair, or the required maintenance. Before I scheduled an appointment, Jacquelyn took the time to discuss these things with me over the phone. She was extremely knowledgeable, more so than anyone else I had spoken to. So, I booked my appointment. COLOR We did the color and extensions in 2 different appointments. It had been a while since I had my color done and my hair was in pretty bad shape. I let her know what I didn't like about my color and she made recommendations. I could not have been happier with the outcome! The color came out beautiful and was far better than I could have imagined. EXTENSIONS Since this was my first time getting extensions, I did not know what to expect. The process was fairly easy and painless. Also, the extensions matched my new color so we didn't have to color them. The number of rows and weight was perfect (based on her recommendation for what I was looking for), and the placement was based on how I typically wear my hair to ensure I had flexibility with styling it in different ways. The end result certainly exceeded my expectations! Also, she gave me a great hair care package that contained all the things needed to properly care for my hair. My hair has always been challenging because it is fragile and I have grey. Jacquelyn was very knowledgeable in grey blending and took the time to listen to what I wanted and keep my hair healthy. She gave me a product at no charge to take home to keep my hair healthy. She also gave me home care instructions to keep my color and hair in good condition. At first I was skeptical to book given that all her photos are of girls haircuts and such, however do not be fooled, she handled my haircut within the hour and was easy to talk to in the meantime and had a reasonable price will definitely be back. Jacquelyn is amazing! If you're trying to decide if you hand tied extensions are right for you - trust me they are the best decision I've made! Jacquelyn is very patient and detailed oriented and did an amazing job. I have very fine hair and the extensions have not damaged my hair and have simplified my routine and are very low maintenance. I went from having to wash my hair every other day to twice a week. They look natural and are so comfortable. Also, I'm very picky and wanted to make sure my blonde color was bright but natural and she was able to make sure my hair was blonde but not brassy and bright but not too platinum. It's perfect! Jacquelyn is an extremely talented stylist and professional. She not only really wants her clients hair to not only look healthy, but be healthy. After my first appointment with her, I knew I found my stylist here in San Diego. I was super dark when I first started going to her and she carefully did it in steps to not ruin my hair. I have super fine hair that's prone for breakage and wear clip in extensions most of the time for volume and length. She told me of a new technique she was trained to do that is a lot less damaging to the hair. I'm SOOO glad I did it because the result is truly AMAZING! I love that not only does she care about her clients hair, but she has a great eye for color as well. So many times stylists can make a brassy blonde or over bleach and ruin your hair and she created so much more depth to my hair with colors she used and my hair looks and feels healthy. I had the hardest time finding a stylist in Dallas after moving from Portland, OR where my previous extension specialist had spent years with me rehabbing my hair and maintaining my extensions. You'd think it would be easier to find talented extension specialists that knew how to treat blondes out of all cities in the US... but every other highly rated stylist I found that had a heavy social media presences and marketing in Dallas either completely fried my hair off or charged me 3X what Jacqueline charges for messy quick installs partially done by them and partially done by their assistants while they moved between clients. I finally found Jacqueline after creeping her extension placement videos on instagram and I cannot say enough good things about her. She is so inherently talented and so thorough every single time I see her. She's spent 8+ hours with me before for a full highlight and RN tension install before just to make sure every single detail of every single step is done correctly in a way that preserves my hair health. After battling some hair loss in my adult life from an autoimmune disorder, Jacqueline has helped my hair stay healthy enough to be blonde and have extensions without any hair damage - my hair has actually grown an incredible amount since I started seeing her.
