I told them the basic of what I wanted and I let them run with it. They came up with all the plants and the design and I even had a dry River Creek put down which is fabulous. It was one of the easiest projects I think I've ever been involved in and the project team that I worked with was great! They were the nicest bunch of people, so polite, on time, clean up was great including pressure washing my driveway. Darrell was the project manager that was responsible from start to finish. I pretty much left everything up to him and his expertise for suggestions, arrangements and most plants used. I wanted something low maintenance but aesthetically pleasing to the eye. His plan was perfect! Adam, the foreman, who actually supervised and did all the work out front was one of the nicest people you could ever meet. Even asking him to make a change or add something was not difficult, he was so agreeable to please the customer. His Workman Kaboba and Jay work together so well it was pretty amazing to watch it all come together. Would I hire them again for another project, absolutely!

Any plants that die on site, even if the store doesn't water properly or puts them in the wrong sun/not sun spot, any returns of dead plants equates to the grower not getting paid. This rubbed me the wrong way, when I heard it. I am going to be honest- I still end up buying plants from said stores, but I do pop into various nurseries and try to support their small business. Since I broke out of apartment jail- I have plans for the house! For the yard- don't ask me what those plans are.... it's a vague concept right now. But as the young lady asked me what I wanted- ha! I want jasmine- shows me various jasmine plants! Yippee. I am thinking of maybe putting a tree in the front yard- those are in the back. Ok- I'll walk back there, or hop in the convenient golf cart with my plant guide! Zoom~ we are rolling up and down aisles of trees! John was thinking live oak which I love, but then I saw they had weeping willows! WHAT!??!!! And a weeping bottle brush! I need to do research and ask the hoa before diving into a tree purchase! I was looking over azaleas, hibiscus, sod (I need some for my front yard) and various other plants! They even had blueberries! hmmmm. Generally speaking- my thumb is green. I ended up with Jasmine and Honeysuckle and had to lay both down in my car- because they both had trellis attached and were pretty big. John caught me when I got home! In my work dress, with 2 massive plants, one on each hip. I did change into jeans before digging into the earth! I can't wait to go back for more! March should bring more varieties of flowering plants- good tip to know! And peak season will bring Sunday hours (currently closed on Sundays)- aka, March- April! I found a gorgeous hibiscus shrub and two bags of red mulch for my front yard in the garden center. Then I pushed the heavy cart to the paint department where I met Corey. Corey helped mix my gallon of Pacific fog Behr paint for my cabinets. I also needed to purchase a quart of ceiling white and exterior paints. Corey pointed me in the right direction for the ceiling paint and he came out from behind the counter and walked me to the external paint. Excellent customer service and bonus he was friendly too! Teresa was my cashier who also called for assistance to help me get the mulch in my car. Thank goodness, because I barely got those bags in the cart;))) I had such a fantastic experience at Home Depot this evening. I was treated with kindness and respect and I was thanked for choosing my local Home Depot. Customer for life!

It's possible that the problem is the employee that came to our house to review what we wanted in order to give us a quote. Chuck was grumpy. My husband initiated the follow up call so we could discuss the proposal and we set up a time to meet. Our appointment was today and he wasn't there, but we did get a copy of his suggestions. We won't waste our time with a merchant that doesn't take the initiative to garner our business. Overall, Pat's Nursery is great. The landscaping experience was abysmal. We will move forward and get a quote from another vendor.

I'm not going to tell you that Reggie did somersaults, or backflips... As that would be inherently unsafe :-) but I will tell you he went above and beyond to ensure that the warranty package was done properly, did not cost me anything out of pocket, and was done quickly. Reggie is the epitome of excellent customer service! We need more Reggies in this world, what a beautiful place it would be.
