I purchased my home in 2001 and I have been shopping alot more at Home Depot every since lol! My most recent visit was to purchase paint, caulking, a plant and some mulch. I found a gorgeous hibiscus shrub and two bags of red mulch for my front yard in the garden center. Then I pushed the heavy cart to the paint department where I met Corey. Corey helped mix my gallon of Pacific fog Behr paint for my cabinets. I also needed to purchase a quart of ceiling white and exterior paints. Corey pointed me in the right direction for the ceiling paint and he came out from behind the counter and walked me to the external paint. Excellent customer service and bonus he was friendly too! Teresa was my cashier who also called for assistance to help me get the mulch in my car. Thank goodness, because I barely got those bags in the cart;))) I had such a fantastic experience at Home Depot this evening. No matter which Home Depot you visit, you're always going to find what you need to fix up your home, things for your yard, gardening - even through the Christmas/New Year's holiday season as well! It would take me a day plus to write up evening this, and other Home Depots offer their customers. This HD has been around considerably longer than the JAX Beach HD I reviewed earlier this year. It's somewhat older in appearance and seems to have a fair amount of dust in the air, but nothing harmful to that end (I hope!). But if you like the smell of lumber, it offers a ton of different types and sizes of lumber for side walls, studs, you name it! As for tools, whether electronic or battery operated, or practical hand tools, HD has it all. And certainly this included the popular brand names like Milwaukee, DeWalt, Stanley, Husky, etc. They do not carry Craftsman tools, though. Its popular tool brand, Ryobi, offers an amazing variety of practical tools that are battery operated. These include lawnmowers, box cutters, saws of various types, drills, etc. I will say that I have purchased many of these types of Ryobi products and not been disappointed with any of them! My second favorite brand is Milwaukee. Guess I wanted to look like a real construction man at times too! I like their grill section and got a great deal on a Traeger last year. Traeger has been my go-to grill for years and this one has been pretty awesome! I probably can assume that most people know that they can find new appliances here (ovens, washing machines and dryers, microwaves, refrigerators, among other household appliances) but I will say that the brands they offer are pretty solid. Though I do favor the LG brand. There is much more here at the HD from painting products, household interior and exterior lighting, home alarms, doors of various types, - and so much more! I even use Home Depot shops as a walking track to get the calories in on my Apple Watch because this hot weather is unbearable! In addition, at this HD, the staff is pretty phenomenal! Very courteous and friendly - and more, those assigned to their departments know the products well. I would say I've been very happy with the value of the products. They hold up and perform well for the money. Also, what's great for the customer is that HD is just about always having some kind of sale. Get their app and it will keep you up to date! HD does support military active duty and retired veterans with a 10 percent discount (these do not apply to large appliances and the expensive stuff, but most of the basics you'll want, you'll get it!). However, be sure to apply for it on their app or website. Home Depot has become a favorite place for me - gotten me out of a number of jams. Ran to this Home Depot to get a rental truck because the one by me didn't have any to rent. The poor guy working the rental area had a line of people and was working two computers at once to keep things moving. Plus, he was incredibly nice while doing it. Given what all was going on, he kept his cool and was knocking people out of there like home runs. My experience with the carpeting department and the ensuing customer service was horrendous. I've never written a review before but just couldn't let this go. I was misled and even lied to from the very beginning. I cannot review the product as they failed to send it with the measurement team, but I can emphatically state that the staff, from the salesman to the department heads were well below what any cudstomer service industry should tolerate. Bumping up my stars to 4- why? Because I had excellent service here while shopping for a new dishwasher. It helped that they had a special on a Frigidaire Dishwasher saving $250 off the price and it checked all my boxes- third (top) tray, no silverware in door, stainless steel, good reviews, etc. Here's the deal- Lowes and Home Depot are so close to my house and to each other. Because of that, it is foolish not to cross compare. On this day- we hit HD first and I spotted this particular dishwasher and browsed all the other ones. We had a repair guy out to assess our one at home which is on it's last leg. Being proactive, we started shopping. My father-in-law was trying to steer us to Bosch, we read plenty of reviews on Frigidaire and Whirlpool too. I even entertained the idea of getting Kitchenaide. But it all came down to availability, price and my perimeters. After checking the competition, Home Depot came in for the win! I even found the young man originally helping us too! We literally left for 15 minutes and came back to buy. Earliest delivery is 2 weeks out- and hopefully our machine can hang on till then (doubtful). read more

I am excited to announce that I started my own herb garden thanks to Home Depot. I've always wanted to do this but found every reason in the book not to take the first step. I was always afraid to take up gardening as a hobby because I feared my plants would die since I don't have a green thumb. I decided not to be so critical and purchase a few herbs at Home Depot along with the pots, soil, and garden food. I'm glad to say my husband and I are so happy with the outcome and hope our herb garden grows. We purchased cilantro, basil, mint and rosemary. I really don't know the ins and outs of Home Depot, but it's employees like Javier that really shine out. This employee guided me through the aisles and directed me to where I exactly needed to go to find my materials. Home Depot today disappointed - not too busy - had 5 people pass by with no service - I asked 2 about items to look for and they referred me to someone else and they made excuses and kept referring me online. Went to front and they found the item and would get someone to help. Went back and the same two people stated they were out and the front was wrong. The front saw me walk out and asked did I find the item okay, I stated the others said it was not in. The front was determined and sent me back with a friendly talkative guy, and eventually the item was found, way up high in storage. Now the discussion on whom was to get it. I need 95 inches of window blinds. I came here to purchase blinds. I went to the department and waited for 30 minutes. I went to the appliance department right next to the blind department. Asked does anyone work in the blind department and the lady said yes, and pointed to a guy chatting with someone. I have wasted enough time at Home Depot wanting to give them my money. I needed a spare key made for my front door lock. In the past I've had good luck with having duplicates made at a local Ace Hardware. Not this time. After 2 unsuccessful tries I took it to this Home Depot. I explained the situation to their key cutter, a man who called himself "Flip" and who appeared to have expertise. I will preface this review by saying that the employees and management on the floor are in a tough situation and by no means are to blame for the fall in customer service that Home Depot has made. Three weeks ago my wife and I spend a Friday shopping the area for new gas ranges. We settled on Home Depot because the delivery timeline worked perfectly and they were having a sale. I should have changed my mind when I saw how frantically Donna was busting her butt to keep up with the phones and the customers on the floor. This poor woman was the ONLY employee working in the appliance department on a weekend with a SALE; it was very clear that she needed help. Nevertheless, I purchased the range and went home to plan the gas line install. After talking with the gas company, It was apparent that the delivery timeline on the range wasn't going to work because the gas line install was going to take multiple steps and planning. No big deal, I'll just change the delivery date. This seemingly easy task wasn't so easy. I called Home Depot several times over several days and was never able to talk to someone in the appliance department, so I sent them an email thinking that they would get to me when they had time; after all, this wasn't a time-sensitive issue any longer (9 days later, still no email response). After multiple days of calling and no answer to my email, I decided to make a trip to the store. When I arrived at the appliance department, one older, part-time employee was on the floor alone. I waited for 30 minutes while he handled other customers. Finally, it was my turn and we changed the delivery date. Problem solved... NOPE! The gas company came to my house and completed the site survey. I was told by the technician that I needed to make sure that the stove that I purchased was either set up for LP(liquid propane) or comes with the conversation kit. So, I started calling Home Depot... again... After several attempts, I was able to contact someone in the appliance department, but he couldn't tell me if the stove was LP ready or if it had the needed conversion kit. The next day I went back to the store to find that NO ONE was working in the appliance department, I was told that they were all sick. I asked if it was COVID related and the person who I was talking to literally told me that employees are being worked so hard that they are calling in sick to get time off! I waited a few days and tried to call again this morning. I was told by an employee at customer service that there was no one working in appliances that could help me... So, I decided to make a trip to the store and get a refund. I went to Lowes where three people were working in the appliance department. I purchased the same stove and learned that it in fact comes with a conversion kit from the manufacture. Our unemployment numbers are at an all-time high, people need to work and for some reason, Home Depot can't seem to find enough people to staff its store. I will never step foot into another Home Depot again. I'll go to a locally owned store and pay more to support the local business owner, if they can't help me then a trip to Lowes will be in order. Never again will I resort to Home Depot and their poor customer service. read more

We purchased $932.00 in custom blinds on the Home Depot website for 3 exterior Coolaroo Blinds. When we opened the first tube, we noticed it did not have the correct hardware and was short. I contacted Home Depot and they transferred me to Blinds.com. The remade blind was received weeks later with again the wrong hardware. Our installer opened the other two to find out we had similar issues with them being an inch to short on both length and width. Called Home Depot to find out we missed the 2 week deadline to have them remade by a week. But we can purchase another one for 30% off. So, I have 932.00 in blinds that I cannot hang, with hardware that is not usable and the blinds themselves too short. I tried to explain that I already called about one and had to have it fixed but she said sorry, that's not our policy. So, your policy is to make a credit card customer that has spent thousands of dollars in the last few month pay for items they cannot use? Cancelling our credit card and going to report his on every website I can find until a supervisor will give me a complete refund, pay for return shipping and take these horrible blinds back. I stopped in to Home Depot for one thing, a flat head screw driver. I found it within minutes, which is crazy considering how big this place is, and even though I didn't use the assistance of any of the employees, they were without a doubt ready and available if I needed them and all of them had a smile across their face.....a nice thing to see these days. I was pleasantly surprised that right outside there is a hot dog stand that for only $2 you can get an all beef hot dog with toppings like mushrooms, sauteed peppers and onions for no additional cost. I'm sad that at the time I was not hungry, but if we're being honest, I've been thinking about going back there for one ever since.....today might just be that day! read more

Poor customer service and communication. We have had two incidents of poor installation and delivery in less than three weeks of each other from this Home Depot branch. First, a new door was installed opening the wrong way with a peep hole that was too high even though this was specified when we ordered at the store on how the door was to be opened and how tall the shortest member of the household is. No consideration of this was noted during installation so they had to come back at a later date to put back the door the right way and now our door has two prep holes. Second, we consulted a refrigerator that we knew did not have an ice maker but when ordering the refrigerator at the store the employee helping us told us that the fridge does have an ice maker and even got us to buy the five year warranty which he said was going to pretty much pay off the water filter we need to buy for the fridge. Now the fridge was being delivered, the deliverer helped us and told us that the fridge doesn't even have an ice maker and wouldn't even need a water filter. So we pretty much was charged stuff that we don't need. The employee that helped us ordered assured us that the fridge would have an ice maker and a use of a water filter but here we are with extra charges on a fridge and a wrongly installed door. His printer was broken so he had to walk to service desk for every customer to print contracts and receipts. Home Depot is not a company you want to work for. I have worked and dedicated my time working for Home Depot for over 10 years doing Outside Sales. I would go to Customer homes speaking with them about products they where in need of, and the benefit of choosing Home Depot to be sure they received the quality products they where looking for. But there is a huge problem. I can't get paid for the work I have completed. I have sold thousands of dollars in products (at least $20,000 to $30,000). I have walked into customers homes had them sign agreements and even taken there downpayments and given a time of when the work will begin. Being sure to leave the customer satisfied and confident they will receive what has been promised. Im now going 30 days without pay from any of this work that has been completed with Home Depot. I have spoke with my Boss, Regional Manger, Human Resources, Payroll etc and gotten no were. I had to resign from my position and take a position with another company to be sure I can get a pay check. I have been trying to get my 4o1K processed to move it and cant even do that because my resignation has not been processed yet, which should have been done 30 days ago and it takes 30 days to process. It is very hard to believe after giving 10 years of dedicated service this is how I am being treated. Home Depot is not a Family Company that cares, they dont even care if you eat or pay your bills. read more
