Over the past 100 visits, these are some of the things I've experienced: * I rarely if ever get sick * My balance went from favoring the right side about 25 pounds, to now 5 pounds * My neck mobility and back mobility is better than ever * I no longer have throbbing or constant back pain * I can stand for long periods of time without my back hurting * Dr. B has saved me from many a poor deadlift form with her adjustments I first started seeing Dr. B after a pretty nasty car accident a few years ago. She helped me to manage my back pain. She's also different than most chiropractors in that she isn't only concerned with pain management, but also with your overall spinal health. During your first visit, she'll take a set of x-rays, which we come back to later to actually measure changes. My x-rays revealed MAJOR issues with my neck and its positioning. Once she adjusts your spine, most people choose to spend another 2 to 12 minutes in traction, which works on changing your muscles. It's this piece that has been key to my neck improvement, as well as what sets Dr. B apart from most chiropractors. My other issue was chronic muscle spasticity which was due to past surgeries and other issues that are better suited for Erin's modality of therapy. This type of therapy nothing like the deep tissue massages or myofascial work I was used to. In fact, I couldn't discern what Erin was even doing since this is a light touch therapy. Right when I was thinking I may have wasted my money, I had muscle adhesions releasing in the area she was focused on, but also on the opposite side of my body and then all over. It was surprisingly effective and she had me sold halfway through my first session. She also offers small affordable packages at a discount. For those paying out of pocket like myself, this was like the cherry on top of a supreme banana split sundae. I was unable to get in at my regular doctor before I took a trip to NY. I searched online and found "MD" Yap. Based on my experience, I am almost certain this practitioner is a phony expert, as he not only used far less needles and didn't place them in the typical puncture points, but jammed at least one of them in way too far, which resulted in pain and a protruding contusion. Then came the cupping, which usually feels great, rather than placing on a multitude of cups with the suction necessary to leave their trademark purple circles, he used about 4 of them, weakly, which did absolutely nothing and left no mark. He then had the gall to charge $150--about the max a really good LA-based practitioner would charge. This was a massive waste of money (and time) and I would highly recommend you avoid this "doctor" as he's more likely to harm you than to help you. I'm pretty sure he prays on those who do not know what to expect from an acupuncture / cupping session. Acupuncture and cupping have been a great alternative to drugs and surgery for me and I would hate to have anyone turned off from their benefits by someone who does not understand how these methods work and uses them as a way to fleece people of money.
