The first time i came i received a half ass cleaning. The lady that did my cleaning had some sort…read moreof trauma where she had someone bite her before so she did not do fluoride or floss. All the other times i came everything was fine. I had an appointment today for my 1 year old. Mind you, i did not have a babysitter so i took my toddler as well. When we first got there, the front ladies were super sweet like always. Never had a problem with them. The kids were playing around yes laughing and maybe being a little loud. I was trying my best to shush them and calm them down. Some old man came in and instantly was annoyed telling me to control my kids. Once he was done being seen the lady that half assed my cleaning came out and basically told me that my kids were way too loud and they couldn't be acting that way in an office. She was extremely rude. I believe if they have kid patients maybe they could be a bit more understanding but nope. The Dentist nor her supervisor had mentioned anything. Anyway, my problem is with her and how she handled the whole situation. I will not be coming here at all anymore. I would rather drive Placerville to be seen.

My new Dentist said it was poorly done. Office is an assembly line of personnel performing different Tasks. Every Visit they found more work to be done. I've heard same is true by other patients. very unsatisfied with there workmanship. I'm out $1400. on a poorly done crown that needs to be replaced. Both my Wife and I have been dissatisfied with there workmanship.

A year and several thousand dollars later that tooth had to be removed and both my new dentist and the oral surgeon that extracted my tooth said the dentist that did the root canal screwed up! Sorry, but I can not give any good reason to come back here ever.

However, because I learned so much and had a few things taken care of in Dr. Yamoaka's office and had gentle cleanings, this office restored my faith in Dentistry and prompted me to keep up on my oral hygiene and get regular cleanings when I need them. I actually didn't mind going to the dentist again. Prior to finding Yamaoaka's office had had a couple of interesting experiences, from majorly painful cleanings to dentists telling me I had ten cavities which I could not afford to fill, and a second opinion telling me I was cavity free. She is compassionate, caring and a professional. I have a severe fear of dental work and she has many systems in place to help me jump those hurdles and get the treatments I need. Her office is clean and the COVID-19 protocols make me feel even safer with her focus on screening, temperature recording as well as disinfecting between patients. My initial consultation included a comprehensive discussion that did not make me feel like a failure (all other consultations I have ever had were detrimental and shaming). We are fully nomadic for 16 years now so go to many different dentists wherever our travels take us and Dr. Ha is a real pro. He did a crown on one of my zirconium implants and did a great job and charged a very fair price...their hygienist Kathy is fantastic too...did many cleanings over the years with her as we would visit Tahoe to ski, and their front person Brittany is always very helpful and accommodating...I really would love to give all my business to Dr. Ha if our future travels bring us within close proximity to Tahoe and his office, especially since for my crown for example, he was willing to lower his price and almost match another dentist's estimate, which was great, because I preferred Dr. Ha to do it, because he is a real pro and truly does a great job and takes pride in his work, which is not always the case with other dentists, and we've been to many in many different states.
