This company is amazing. I needed a last minute limo service on Saturday for my daughter and her friends to go from Mililani to pearl city. I had called three other companies first. The first company quoted me almost double what jay did and the second company didn't answer when I called twice. I am so glad that I found this company because the service was spectacular! Jay answered himself and made it work. He quoted me a very fair quote and was able to process everything right away. He even asked what the occasion was and made sure he knew my daughters name. The driver's name was Lee. Lee was amazing. He ended up ringing the door bell and asking for my daughter as he knew it was a surprise. We have been using Jay's Limousine for almost 20 years. They continue to provide exceptional service, so every time we come to Honolulu from the the mainland, I book either a pick-up from the airport or shopping or a trip up to the North Shore. Looked good and prices was very reasonable, keep in mind I was booking for the most important day of my LIFE, my wedding day! I was appalled by the limo that showed up to pickup the guys, we got there SUV limo and the limo was dirty, and rusty in and around the kick panels the interior was horrible carpet wasn't even vacuumed and there was a juice can with the straw still in side the cup holder behind the at the very back seat! Not only that but the driver shows up and the pants he has on is dirty all over his knees like he was kneeling in dirty before picking us up!! My wife's limo was just as bad and the A/C ONLY BLEW HOT AIR, kind of like the company!! Just bummed that a company would send a limo in such poor condition and on my wedding day!! How would you feel if you were stranded 30 minutes before your wedding ceremony? You might expect the limousine service that you had hired and paid for to either show up or find another company to pick you and your bridesmaids up and take you to your waiting groom. Not with this company. 30 minutes before my wedding ceremony, I was smiling for pictures with my bridesmaids and recieved a phone call that my reserved limousine would not make it. Not only did I not have a ride to my own wedding, but I had to find my own transportation and all Jay's company would do was refund my money... and not for 30 days! Jay's Limo is a reliable, inexpensive, and friendly company. The only downfall is that their limousines are outdated. If you are ok with a limo that is old, everything else was top notch. I made the reservation via telephone and didn't have any problems. Jay is always available to answer questions. You can bring your own alcohol in the limo. I think our driver's name was Dewayne. I hired Jay's Limousine service for our wedding day. They promptly picked the bridal party and I up at the hotel and dropped us off at the chapel. Jeff was our driver and called me to make sure our meeting place was set 10 mins prior to the time we were supposed to meet us. He was friendly and had everything ready for us. After dropping us off, he went back to the hotel and got the guys and brought them to the chapel. During the ceremony, he patiently waited for our party and then took all of us to the reception. He was professional and courteous. The limo however was a little outdated, but still clean. He offered us bottled waters. You can bring your own alcohol into the limo, but we were too busy and forgot to bring ours. I'd hire them again if I ever have a big event. read more

Jay's Limo has some good and bad things. Jay was very accommodating and the price isn't too bad. They came in a timely manner too. We had Lee as our limo driver from the house to the church. He was professional and friendly to us. He didn't rush us or anything. We originally paid for a 10-seater suv limo but got a 16-seater. We were excited because we were actually able to fit everyone...it was great at first but from the church to the reception place, the A/C was broken. Lee tried to fix it and offered another limo to come and pick us up but we said it was ok because it would have taken an extra hour. Also something in the limo fell apart and my groomsmen just pushed it back in. I really wasn't too mad about it because we got from Point A to Point B safely and that's all that mattered to me. After the reception, we also hired Jay for a sedan to bring us to our rental house. I can't remember the driver's name but he was great! Again, we got an upgrade from sedan to SUV and this time it was worth it! It made up for the suv limo. Again, our driver was great...he was pretty fun too! If you really don't mind all the small things, Jay's Limo Service is worth hiring. The price is the best all around and the drivers are pretty good. We rented the excursion out for our bachelor/bachelorette party. We planned for 16 people so we booked the stretch excursion. We ended up having 13, thank goodness or else it would have been ridiculously crowded... I think 10-12 MAX for these limos even though they advertise up to 16. (Yeah, if you don't mind being on top of each other) The limo wasn't even very nice on the outside, then the doors opened... definitely not as desribed... They talk about "laser light show" "hard wood dance floors" yeah... okay. They didn't even exist... The carpets were stained.. cup holders broken. The stereo system wasn't very up to date, you could plug up to an iphone but then you have a cord hanging right in front of your face. The only good thing about this business was the service, it was absolutely excellent. Driver was prompt, polite, extremely helpful and friendly. Since the price is the same as other companies, I think we'll definitely go with another company for the wedding. read more

I pre-paid for 8 hours and went 0.5 hours over and was charged for a full extra hour. The Ford Expedition limousine that we had was outdated (upholstery was old, frayed, and not new-looking; the mirrored ceiling had not been cleaned. The ride was jarring, especially when we went over a curb. If you're looking for a reliable ride at a somewhat reasonable price but don't need top-notch quality (shiny new limo), this one's fine. I was skeptical about the inconsistant reviews rating 1 and 5 stars throughout yelp. I decided to call and check it out myself for my friend's bridal party. First off, the lack of enthusiasm, unclear and ho-hum attitude of the receptionist turned me off. She asked for my full name and #. WHY? Excellent service and great price. I'm so glad I went with Jay's Limo service instead of a different company to drive my wedding party to our ceremony. To begin, when I reserved the cars, I was thinking that I needed 2 limos (one to pick up the groom and one for the bride) but they would be at different times. When I spoke with Jay, he helped me figure out that I really only needed one limo. He would have the limo pick up the ladies, drop them off and then go pick up the men and bring them to the ceremony. At first I was a bit skeptical since if they were late for one pick up the second pick up would be late too, but I decided to go for it since there was some elbow room in our timeline and it would be half the price for one limo only. Our driver (I believe his name was Norman) arrived 5 minutes before our scheduled time and we were out the door. Even though there was a lot of traffic on the way to the venue due to a rodeo at Kualoa Ranch we made it in good time. I wanted a specific CD to be playing when my fiance and his groomsmen got in the limo and Norman was nice enough to make sure that was playing when the guys got in. I needed reliable transportation to/from the airport for a 2-week international vacation. I just knew that I wouldn't want to deal with a cab at either 5am headed out or after a full 24-hours in airports/on planes on my return. After checking, cross-checking and getting a few estimates, I hired Jay. The on-line reservation form is geared for tourists and not locals but by the time I had the form submitted and actually spoke to Jay, I was a bit more assured. The service was as advertised. Last Saturday May 23, I hired Jay's Limo to take my sister, brother-in-law and i for a tour of Oahu. Mike our driver was on time, early actually, and gave us a great tour. I scheduled a pick up time for the bride and her party at 10:30pm - and there was a no show, no call, no response - NOTHING from Jay or his driver(s). I left messages night of and also the next day - and absolutely NO call back, or at least an apology. I understand that things happen and sometimes there is miscommunication or sometimes delays -- I'm usually very flexible, however - with a NO show, NO call back, or NO apology and taking the $100 deposit = UNACCEPTABLE. Had a bad experience with Jay's Limo. On the phone Jay told me he would give me a 200 flat rate for the night since I'm military. Lined up the time the driver was supposed to be there and I will say he was actually 10 minutes early. The driver was great an his name was Dewayne. No complaints there at all. However, when the driver showed up he said the rate was 300 dollars. He called Jay he said he told me it was 300 dollars. My friend Ryan was with me when I was on the phone with Jay the first time and he heard Jay say 200 dollars. He clearly change the price at the last minute. I hired Jay's Limousine service to drive us to a wedding in Ko'olina. Coordinating everything was fairly easy and Jay was very responsive. We requested multiple pick-ups and they seemed accommodating as long as the second pick-up was along the way. The actual limo experience was less than satisfactory. The limo itself was clean but, rather old. Parts of the interior were falling apart and there was a slight musty smell. However, this was excusable based on the reasonable rate I suppose. The real nightmare started when I proceeded to instruct the driver how to get to the second pick-up location. Apparently he was not informed of the second pick-up, and began to openly show his dissatisfaction and irritation towards us and his dispatch. He immediately got on the phone and began reprimanding the dispatch complaining that "it would be nice to know ahead of time so he could plan his life." Keep in mind the partition is down and the entire conversation is being fed through the speakers to the back of the limo loud and clear! Way to go captain professional! Needless to say, it made us all feel very uncomfortable. Upon our return trip he mentions to me that he had gone on a group motorcycle ride earlier that evening while we were at the wedding which I can only assume is the reason he was annoyed with the second pick-up. I booked these guys well in advance. I decribed the drop off location and asked them to research it. It was up a dirt road that is often challenging to the average car. After the owner said, its a go, my credit card was charged $100 to hold the day. One week before the wedding, Jay himself called to cancel. Said he couldn't get his limo up the road without risking damage. ONE WEEK before the wedding! I received my deposit back but the lack of customer service, tone when he called to cancel and irresponsible action (one week before wedding was not appropriate) that has me signing up for Yelp for the very first time to write a review. When I first looked into this place and booked a "luxury SUV" for my husbands birthday I was very satisfied with the customer service and rate... However when the vehicle showed up at pickup time one headlight wasn't working, the check engine light was on and the vehicle was really outdated. I immediately called and spoke to the owner Jay and was told I would receive a FULL refund. It has been over a week and every time my husband or I call we to get a status we are getting dogged and said we will receive a call back. I am very upset cause not only did this ruin my plans for his big birthday surprise I have not received my funds. I have even went as far as calling my bank to see if funds were pending. We hired Jay's limousine for our wedding in October to pick up the groom & groomsmen, bring them to the ceremony site, and go back to pick up the bride & bridesmaids to bring them to the ceremony since we wanted to arrive separately. I hate to write this review because Jay came through for me at the last minute but other customers should be aware. I reserved the 8-10 pax limo for use as a wedding shuttle but was given the 16 pax excursion. At first I thought it was a nice upgrade but then I realized the exterior looked pretty old and the rims were really dirty. Then the doors opened and I was shocked to see the interior. First thing I saw was torn leather seats. Then I noticed the carpet was really stained, hardwood floors were falling apart and really bad stains on the ceiling. I will say the service was outstanding. Our driver was really nice and accommodating. My advice is if you can see the car before your event do so. Once you're satisfied with the vehicle I don't think you have to worry about the service you'll be getting. read more
