Unique sports store with a great assortment of fishing equipment. I found many lures for my tackle box.

Great selection. Lots of hard to find things. Hours could be better but they do a great job.

After a day of skiing, we stopped by Boyne Country Sports. Hubby picked out a nice, new pair of modern-technology goggles, then reminded me that my own decade-old goggles are too big to fit on my face under my ski helmet. They were always pressing on my sinuses the wrong way. OK, I'll try on some, too. The next morning, hubby noticed that my brand new, never worn ski goggles had vertical scratches in the centers of the lenses. Darn. He said we ought to exchange them. Back at Boyne Country Sports, he showed the scratches to Mike, the man who had sold us the goggles. Then they called in Steve, who seems to be the manager. Hubby showed Steve the goggles, and at first he said, "Oh that's just moisture." But when Steve looked at a second, then a third pair that had scratches already on them, he had to conclude that they were arriving at the store that way. He was going to have to speak to the Scott distributor. And then he did something amazing. He helped me pick out another pair that fit my head/helmet combination, and then he gave them to me for no additional charge, even though they were more expensive. I certainly didn't expect him to do THAT. Thanks, guys! Above and beyond the call of duty. :-)

The choil is set perfectly and is cut in exactly where I would have done it myself. It was definitely sharpened, and polished at a fairly high grit (my guess would be 1200 - 1500), but zero correction was done to the factory's angle, and about an inch of low spot is easily visible. I'll have to re-sharpen it myself to re-profile it and be content. At the end of the day, they did what I paid them to do, but I'm disappointed in their sharpening abilities.

Shining example of exotic EDC gatekeeping. RAISE YOUR CREATIVE FREEDOM PACKAGE "STYLE" STANDARDS!…read moreOr don't do it at all. Great you've got your QA process down but man I feel bad for the dudes even doin some of this stuff to these knives. I've read the other reviews too you downplay or literally troll the freedom packages. Such a great idea poorly executed. Thanks for making all my knives look like random NPC's like outa maybe $1,100 spent here I got one knife I kinda liked. So with the freedom package I'll say nothing shiny, bright, pink, but you can only say one thing? ???? Then get rammed with 400% of the one thing you ask for or not ask for like what a head trip. Why but you can't even make a knife look battle worn properly? It looks like Bullshxt not Battleworn. Then send me photos of something that doesn't match plus the lighting manipulation BS. Oh and that trippy edge in the center? You would think well shoot I can move that blade over and move this and that. First that's lame second the parts are different for different metals so yeah whatever here's some more knives from the edited version of blood moon. Like these guys are my besties and I need to learn the secret code of what to say to get Ma knife tight lookin' right? All of us CUSTOMERS we just a bunch of POS NPC trash. Like they PURPOSEFULLY will trash out your knife. Oh it'll work fine but there will always be that thing that bugs you about that knife. Why did they do this? Because it's a scam like all EDC. Take your money and leave you salty because Nananana you don't have access to what we got!!! Attached are some photos of what they did. Do they look cool to you? Pretty cool huh? Okay now I know you think they look cool right? But if you had access to that equipment and had some experience with EDC communities and how business' will cheese you so you come back for more cheese? Because we are ignorant NPC rats looking for cheese scraps. The real honesty is that although some of the process may be appreciative in some ways that doesn't take away from the fact that you are literally scamming us. You are saying it's a creative freedom. You use the input literally against the customer. Like really? But you sent me knives that look like DULL versions of what they should be. You trolled these knives with not being shiny and even though you made some hardware exceptions due to how dull they looked when you told me they looked bland so that means you even knew some stuff was off so you did me a favor by Does that make sense? Look how they trolled me when I said not shiny can see how that's cool but hey it's your money and you keep getting trolled you ain't gonna like it. All the knives I get back ALL always have some kind of troll to it. Then you get the condescending replies. I truly hope these dudes lose all their favorite knives and remember how many knives they did dirty. Also so they decided to do the "battleworn" on the one knife because the "blizzard" wash looks really plain. Damn did you see how PLAIN the TITANIUM entire knife is????? The only thing I said was "Definlty not shiney" okay. Now look at the titanium blade you went 400% into it being a dull turd knife which is cool once twice but this is like I dunno I lost count like 5th 6th knife's? Turded out? The hardware on the titanium is literally colorless. The ONLY time they added color was when they realized the extent of how DULL they looked. Then you emailed me with a one way option. In fact all three of these knives look like the exact opposite of creative freedom! They look like concentration camp knives. Damn I would rather have tried the battle worn on the damn titanium blade. Bet ya'll laughin up there too. Your "creative freedom" is a micro managed POWER trip.

We were greeted warmly as soon as we walked in, and the employee there was so friendly and helped us look at some great gift options. I don't know anything about fly fishing, so it was great to have some guidance. They have apparel, books and gifts, tons of flies, fly fishing accessories, and more. We ended up getting a hat and some stickers. They seem to like the Grateful Dead as the sticker and hat we got had the lightning skull on them - which is perfect, because our friend is a huge fan. We also got a birthday card, which we were told are designed by the owner's wife. Overall it was a really great experience and I'm so glad we stopped in.

What a disappointment…read more My husband and his brother hired TNA for a belated Father's Day fishing trip with their father, who'd been talking about going on one with his sons for years. This fishing trip was to be the highlight of a joint family vacation, but, by 5pm the night before the big day, it had dissolved into thin air. Why? Because TNA had thought there were only 2 anglers going on the trip, not the 3, which requires 2 boats/guides, not 1. But there'd been 3 anglers going on the trip from the very beginning, so we're not entirely certain how that information didn't get communicated when my husband called to inquire about/book the trip. To be completely fair, I fully believe TNA was going to do everything they could to locate that second boat/guide even mere hours before the trip and during the busy season, but the set up just wasn't what the guys wanted. Maybe being the lone fisherman on the second boat would be nice if one was going with friends, but not the first ever father/sons fishing trip. Is that when they find out who's the favorite son? It just wasn't going to work. And no one is/was advocating to risk everyone's safety by cramming another brother onto the boat, but, had the angler/boat ratio been communicated to my husband when he called, he could've given his dad a nice Yeti cooler instead. He'll get his deposit back, but is still out the money/time spent obtaining all three fishing licenses, as that's not a service TNA provides. It's just a huge disappointment caused by such a simple mistake, thus the 1 star.
