I'm with the others on here. I wanted to get a longboard painted as a present for my boyfriend, and Jaz definitely went above and beyond. On top of that, I really appreciate how not only he takes pride in his work, but, for him when doing a job, it's more of a collaboration. He always wants to make sure his clients are happy and everybody is on the same page when it comes to the artistic direction(which you don't get in a lot of places these days). I am extremely happy with the artwork I have had done from Jaz Davis. I have had 3 totally different projects painted by Jaz. First I hired him to paint a giant mural/sign on the outside of our business. I was impressed by the clean text they were able to paint. Then, I hired Jaz to airbrush my cruiser (bicycle). This bike is wicked cool. My bike went from drab to kick ass in less than two weeks. Very reasonable prices considering the amount of labor involved. Lastly, I had some body painting done. This was to look as if I was covered in tattoos. The work was fun and very realistic. All in all, professional and clean work. I highly recommend Jaz Davis. read more

I love Jaz, such a great guy. He's got a warm heart and one of the friendliest personalities that you could ever work with. I had him repair a scraped side skirt and peeling bumper on my car. Although he is a fine-artist, Jaz doesn't mind doing straight paint jobs as well. I'm astonished by his industrial sized art-work but for me, it was just a straight paint job. He re-fiberglassed my panel, repainted it looked like it never had been scratched before. All this while coming in at cheaper-than-standard body shops. On top of all that, he offered to come pick up my car and drop it off as well. I'm about a 20 minute drive from him but that was not a problem. Awesome service! JAZ IS THE BEST!!! I contacted him on Thursday in hopes to get some custom shirts made for my friend's anniversary as gifts. I did not expect to have them done in that same weekend. I'm a realist, and knew that I was pushing the timeframe. The following reasons are why he's great: 1) Jaz answered his phone when I called. This might not be a big deal, but think about it--how annoying is it when you try to contact a business and all you get is their voicemail. RIGHT! 2) Jaz is very professional. I explained everything I wanted on the custom shirts; and, he offered his creative and artistic inputs. He was very detailed in what he wanted to do with my ideas. I had a great idea of what to expect, but beyond the painted picture that presented, he later emailed me the design of the shirt within half an hour of speaking to him. 3) Jaz is customer-service oriented. Aside from already accommodating my order on such short notice, Jaz told me that he would open his studio early on Saturday which was a huge lifesaver being that I was on a time crunch. He took my friend and I on a tour of the studio, as well as the other art studios that were available for viewing. It was a great experience for us. The end products (custom airbrushed shirts) were better than what I had hoped for and my friends (as well as other guests) LOVED them. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! Mr Davis was commissioned to airbrush a guitar body for me. He stated that it would take one (1) week to complete. I left him the guitar in perfect working condition in the hard-shell case and the deposit. I was to pay the balance upon picking up the guitar on the following Sunday. On Thursday I sent Mr. Davis a text stating that I had not received a proof sample yet. Mr. Davis informed me that he was still working on it and would have a proof either that night or the following day. On Friday Mr. Davis emailed me a mock-up of the guitar design. I wrote back to him that same day to tell him that day with the changes. I then told him to send me another mockup. He wrote back and said that there was no reason more to mock it up again. On Sunday Mr. Davis called me while I was driving back from an out of town trip and I could not answer the phone, When I arrived at my home I texted him and told him that I was out of town but that I was home now and asked him if the guitar was ready and when could I pick it up. He texted me back and said "No it's not ready". I texted him back and reminded him that he told me that it would ready that day. I asked him what the hold up was and that reminded him that I had told him what I wanted and he told me that no mockup was needed. I informed him that it was very unprofessional of him to NOT have the guitar ready on the day that he promised. He texted me back and said "Your being difficult-forget it. I'm not painting anything for you. You can pick up your guitar and your money tonight". When I arrived at Mr. Davis's home that day my guitar on in the case on a table in the driveway of his home. The guitar taken apart and painted with primer. All the hardware had been removed and it was still wet with paper stuck to it. He came outside and handed me the deposit and I closed the guitar case and left. The guitar is totally useless to me because it cannot be played. I do not know how to reassemble it and it needs to be painted. I have lost revenue because I have had to not book gigs due to the fact that I do not have working electric guitar. My man Jaz rocks! I had a large vinyl decal purchased elsewhere installed on the hood of my Jeep Wrangler. While Jaz is doing his thing we talked about what he can do, past work and some of the technical aspects of his projects. This guy is a first rate artist. The kind that not only can do ANYTHING with paint but gets your creative juices flowing about what YOU want to do next. I left his studio not only feeling like a boss in my Jeep but thinking of ideas for the next mod. I found Jaz on Craigslist when we needed a custom Airbrush T shirt on a HBO Television series . While we were asking him to do a much lower skilled level of work than he usually does ( we needed it to look "amateurish" for the show ) he was willing to take on the work and do it after he had been working all day on his other projects for large companies! When the production wanted a different look, he was happy to work out some different looks for us. Jaz was professional and prompt and I hope to be able to use him on other projects. I didn't get anything airbrushed but I wrote asking about getting a remembrance piece for my son whom passed away last year done on a motorcycle helmet. I read all these reviews about how he made all his clients happy and didn't feel like that was the case with me... When I sent a picture of the helmet which is about the same shape and style as the one I was purchasing (bit not the same helmet I said it was Like the one I was getting) I was informed that we may not be a good fit because he doesn't work on projects with "art work restrictions" I'm sorry but I thought it was really inconsiderate to make me feel like I needed to alter what I wanted special done so I could feel like my son was watching over me every time I rode. So you are right we will not be a good fit because I want someone who will be willing to work with me on what I would like done and a little more sensitive.
