A musician's dream!…read more Per the recommendation of our wedding planner, we worked with Hella Fitzgerald for our wedding in Big Sur, CA in August 2023. One of the best decisions we made for our wedding. I am a musician myself and had a lot of specifications for what I wanted throughout our ceremony, first dance, and dancing portions of the evening. And I mean a LOT of specifications! Music is something I am very particular about. Lilan worked closely with me on everything from which 2nd singer to hire to match the feel we wanted (the band works with various singers) to learning new songs that we had requested to adjusting songs to specific BPMs!!! She never seemed to lose her patience with me and would text me randomly with ideas or singer leads. One time she even texted me a couple vocal riffs she sang into her phone to see what I would prefer. We wanted a fun, sexy, big band feel and a talented group of musicians who could perform soul, Latin, swing, R&B, and everything in between. That is exactly what we got. We never left the dance floor. Thank you HF!

Every musician in the band was outstanding. They accommodated all of our requests, including an extra long hora. :) All of our guests loved them and it was so refreshing to have 'real' music at our daytime event. Their price was extremely reasonable to boot! We highly recommend Hella Fitzgerald - they were fantastic!

As a former student who learned piano up to level 7 in ABRSM with her, Christine was a wonderful…read morepiano instructor and teacher. I first started lessons with her in 2016 when I was nine, and despite my initial apprehensions about starting to play a musical instrument, she turned out to be delightful, skilled, and considerate in introducing me to and teaching for the next seven years until 2023. Following true to her teaching style and ABRSM's curriculum (which she weaves into other activities and pieces we have the opportunity to learn ourselves), she gives us both the necessary skills to score distinctively in exams (I've never scored less than a high merit on the exams I took while she was instructing me, and that is with comparatively less practice owing to school) and free choice to both discover, practice, and play pieces in other repertoire she provides and our personal interests and likes. Alongside her passion and ability for teaching, she is also incredibly considerate and understanding. She gives the perfect amount of support, encouragement, yet also attentiveness to personal and outside activities when communicating with her students and implanting the skills of a pianist in her students; she fully understands and cares for her students while making a fantastic and effective effort in teaching, and even after lessons, whether short or long-term, she is never less willing to provide as much aid and support as she can. Owing to the teaching, communication, and understanding she constantly and effectively does with her students, I would truthfully say she is one of the best instructors I've ever had in my lifetime. I highly recommend her, both for those thinking of getting into piano or cello and those who already have experience and would like a splendid mentor and teacher.

However, when high school came I suddenly got the urge to play the cello again. Picking it up was very difficult, but with Ms.Christine's teachings I was able to adjust and become better. Though I honestly didn't practice much, through her dedication and joyous lessons, I was able to apply and get into my high school's chamber orchestra. So to anyone who wants to take a stab at music, I highly recommend her as a teacher for you.

The Afghan food just gives you the feeling of being at home without having to enter the kitchen! The staff checked on us to ensure we had everything we needed more than once! They restocked the buffet multiple times to ensure there was never a shortage. There was beautiful Ramadan decor and the restaurant itself is classy and so clean. I loved that there actually a designated area to pray. The food was really good my favorite was the chabli kabob! My daughter loved the kabuli. Great place to throw an intimate wedding, baby shower, birthday party, host friends for an Iftar the prices are beyond reasonable and the location is convenient located with tons of parking. I can't wait to go back again!
