I never heard of this venue in SF until a friend of mine recently invited me to the Soul Train brunch experience at Feinstein's. This is an intimate, up-close venue. The buffet brunch was average, but had a good variety of items from bacon, sausage, waffles, eggs, baked goods and fruit. The most important were the bottomless mimosas! The servers were efficient and friendly, constantly coming around to clear empty plates and glasses. The bartender kept the mimosas poured and ready. The brunch lasted for about an hour and the show started shortly after. Watching and listening to the performers really brought back memories of the young me watching Soul Train on TV. It was probably the mimosas, but we even got up and formed a train during the performance!

When I come to city I stay at Nikko Hotel. My absolute favorite. Why? Indoor pool, sauna, steam room, room service, parking, the check In service remembers my children and myself and it means a lot. My kid loves the stuffed dog they available to buy in room. It's got a good feel inside when you walk in. I could even bring my chocolate Labrador Preacher although I've left him home lol. Only bummer in the main entrance has been closed last two times we've stayed. Close to union square two blocks. Close to my favorite bakery in SF!

This isn't your average night on the town. It's a chance to get dressed up and see an artist perform in a small venue with a small band. This isn't for everyone and it isn't cheap. I usually buy tickets throughout the year if there is an artist I want to see and I can afford the tickets. From time to time you can find discounts through the venue or other ticketing apps. I love their downstairs space on the 2nd floor. The booths are my favorite. It's cozy and intimate. They opened a newer space on the 3rd floor. It's larger and called the ballroom. It's a space they can convert into anything and seems they are still working out what to do. It currently resembles a convention/education set up due to the rectangle tables. Hopefully they are waiting for the round tables to arrive. Back in the day, singers used to perform in ballrooms. However I hope they eventually are able to make this more of a permanent space. Currently you can order drinks from a QR code. Its overpriced but i usually order one mixed drink. Hopefully they will improve the menu, pricing and allow food again. In the meantime you can dine at Anzu or one of the other restaurants surrounding the hotel. Otherwise the staff is wonderful and I didn't feel rushed. And yes, you have to show your vaccine card to get in.

Such a nice venue and a gorgeous show! I came here for their Motown brunch and they did not disappoint. The food was tasty, the mimosas were endless, & the show was amazing!

The checkout page with all required info, top of page.

There is apparently no way to order a drink without having to input your info, email address & Phone number. Furthermore, to a drink you have to submit to being contacted via phone and/or email. This is beyond acceptable in this day and age. So we will not be spending any money here on overpriced drinks at all. They have replaced their service staff with a QR code at every table. I just did a headcount, and they have ONE waiter (which was just announced by a manager) for 86 (!!!) guests! I am seriously stunned by this. Never coming back to this place.

Fantastic & amazing Liberace & Liza Holiday Show last night in San Francisco. It was truly impressive and these super talented actors, musicians, and entertainers (David Saffert & Jillian Snow Harris) channeled these iconic stars with such precision, passion, and detail that it felt 'so real'. Feinstein's is the perfect venue for hosting such an event. Thank you for such a lovely evening.

Atmosphere: Straight up 5 stars! It is intimate and very classy. Up scale with great acoustics. There is not a bad seat in the house and most everyone in attendance dresses up for the setting. Waiter: Kevin was super friendly and answered all of our first timer questions. Food: BLAH! Do not waste your money here on food. We figured it would be easiest to dine there. Huge mistake, 25 minutes for a commercially made flat bread, a supposed kobe burger which was cooked to death despite being asked for medium-rare, served with basic mustard, ketchup, mayo, iceberg lettuce, unripe tomato, and single sliced dill pickle round. The bun was honestly the best thing served to us the whole night. The burger was screaming hot and the fries in a small cup cold! We also ordered the mushroom tortellini, also store bought and cold. There were three tiny pieces of yellow squash and a overcooked small piece of wilted purple cauilflower. The sauce was in serious need of seasoning and there may have been a quarter of a cup for the whole dish, almost naked pasta. Drinks: we spent over $100 for 4 drinks each two mules and two Irish coffees, not even a buzz. The alcohol is nonexistent, AND our first drinks were ordered with our food and arrived with it 25 minutes later. The bill... $192! Luckily I had read in other reviews that the tip was included because it is too dark to read the lightly printed bill in the dark. Thus we paid an extra $14 for a margarita , WE DID NOT ORDER! Future visits tips...eat elsewhere, bring your own alcohol in your bag to add to your $20 minimum per person purchase. Better yet...avoid this overpriced place! We loved our show! Linda Eder was amazing and we were so grateful to see her perform and meet her after. Will I drive 3+ hours to return to Feinsteins? NOT A CHANCE IN HELL!!

Food: 3/5 Service: 4/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Overall: I come for the shows and it comes with a minimum unfortunately. Food is ok. The extended review... Food: Steak - The meat overall was very tender and taste was pretty good. Small in portion unfortunately but you have to buy something to reach the minimum. Service: friendly and attentive waitstaff. Ambiance: a cute setting. The front seats are a tad cramped but overall a very good venue.

A wonderful place to be up close and personal for a concert! Wonderful drinks, delish small plates and the staff is very friendly! I failed to bring my tickets as clearly instructed and was in a panic about it. The very kind host assured me it wasn't a problem and looked me up by name and said I was good to go! We got there early and were rewarded with front row table seating and enjoyed some delicious charcuterie and cocktails. They seemed to be priced well (remember you're in SF where everything is high priced!) We say Lesli Margherita in her Cabernet called RULE and it did just that!! What a fab performer! So fun!! We have been here for other broadway to the Bay type shows and will be back for more!

It's within walking distance to J-town which is really nice in terms of getting food before a show…read more(most things are not late night in SF, so this is the play since after a show, most things will already be closed) and it is possible to find free parking if you have eyes that search and see. My boyfriend and I came here to see TK from Ling Tosite Sigure (real anime heads know - Tokyo Ghoul, Psycho Pass, etc. or if you're a fan of math rock). We got the GA tickets and waited in the line for the venue around 40 minutes before the show. We were still in the first 100 or so people in, we were in the line when it curved the corner near the other shopping plaza near the bus stop, so it wasn't too fisted when we went. This was absolutely not the case for the LA show, so the vibes in NorCal versus SoCal are completely different. Staff was welcoming (as best they could) and efficient in checking us in and security was friendly in what they had to do. Much better than some of the other venues I've been to. You have to go upstairs to get to the live house concert stage area. It looks very high end with the lighting, curtains, balcony area, and chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. It's not as grandiose as say the Mayan (RIP), but nice nonetheless. We were probably 3-4 layers of people from the front, but was able to see all of the band members quite well and I was accidentally in the band's Instagram post (with my very funny and cooked back posture). Sound quality was great and really highlighted not only TK's vocals, but the technicality and skill he has on guitar (dude had to swap guitars between each song), as well as all of the support members (their support drummer from Crossfaith has such good stage presence). Nothing sounded too drowned out or overpowering. Good acoustics. The merch table was at the side and I didn't pay too much mind to where the bar was. When walking up stairs I was wondering where to go and loudly asked that question and a kind staff working the coat check in the opposite direction pointed to where to go. I think my only qualm though is the stairs that everyone has to take up, and more importantly down since it gets super crowded. However, they do have an accessible elevator for those who may require it or are ADA. What I love about this venue is the apples they give attendees. Great post concert snack. Sweet and crispy apple. I really love that they do this. And apparently this was the only tour stop that had a free poster with the artist playing too. Love that extra goodie for concert goers since I didn't purchase any merchandise. If there's a band or musician that I know is going to go to the Fillmore, I'm going to try to make the show since I really enjoyed it here!

1 Star - Awful Manager and Staff Experience…read more We attended the Alex Isley concert at The Fillmore and brought our 8-year-old daughter. It was her very first concert, and she absolutely loves Alex Isley. The venue was standing room only, but we found a small corner near the front where we weren't blocking anyone's view. Early in the evening, one female staff member seemed to have an issue with us, although every other staff member we encountered was friendly and accommodating. At one point, I asked a staff member if it would be okay to put my daughter on my shoulders so she could see the stage. He told me it was absolutely fine, and several other staff members nearby clearly had no issue with it. Later, the same female employee returned and began harassing my wife about our daughter being on my shoulders or standing on a bench that was not obstructing anyone's view. She made a scene unnecessarily and then escalated the situation to a manager. The manager arrived and was just as rude. Although I complied immediately because I didn't want to create a scene in front of my daughter, we felt singled out and bullied throughout the interaction. Ironically, other concertgoers immediately tried to help by offering our daughter space in front of them so she could see the performance. Even more telling, a member of Alex Isley's security team witnessed what happened, approached us afterward, and kindly arranged for my wife, daughter, and me to meet Alex after the show. That completely made our daughter's night and turned what could have been a very disappointing experience into a special memory. The kindness shown by Alex Isley's team and fellow concertgoers stood in stark contrast to the behavior of The Fillmore's manager and this particular staff member. Because of this experience, I will not return to The Fillmore and cannot recommend the venue to others. 1/5 stars.
