I didn't feel awkward at all even though it was my first time and the girls were all very upbeat and talkative (which I love). Scheduling the appointment was easy and I did it over the phone. They have good COVID-19 procedures and the salon was clearly clean and well kept. Now for the most important part... I had gone in with hip length hair and wanted a drastic change after being in quarantine for so long. My hair is 2c wavy/curly, so I'm always pretty hesitant about letting people cut my hair, but Karatrina put me at ease by going over my style goals at the start of the appointment. I wanted shoulder length hair so it would be easier for me to manage my hair. She explained what she was doing at each point and also shared stuff about her own life. I was very comfortable and felt like I have been going to this salon for years. I ended up styling my hair myself when I got home because curly hair is just tricky to style, but she did diffuse my hair so I didn't leave with wet hair! I am more than pleased with my hair! He asked if I had an appointment, because he does those in the morning and walk ins in the afternoon and I was very apologetic, I didn't know, and he said not a problem, I'm sure we'll get you taken care of before the next appointment arrives. We spent the time talking about my corvette and his brother's hot rods and just car talk in general. He was done before I knew it and it looked great. When I tipped him for being so understanding and so professional, he looked me in the eye and shook my hand and asked me my name.
