I mostly chose this…read moreplace due to the convenience of scheduling an appointment online, but the reviews were also promising. The lady who trimmed my hair did a decent job and was nice. My review, however, is for an atrocious experience I had with the owner, Brandi Wilson. My sister's first time at Envy didn't go as well as mine. Someone there attempted a balayage that... Well, let's just say she's had to spend hundreds of dollars correcting at other salons. Unsure of how the refund process works, she took me with her to speak with the manager about it. Ms. Wilson was with a client when we walked in. Awkwardly, my sister had to explain her situation while Ms. Wilson washed another lady's hair. She barely looked at us and acted like we were an annoying distraction from her work. Nevertheless, my sister kindly explained that the stylist didn't use the freehand painting technique that one uses for a proper balayage. Instead, she used foils from root to tip, all over, which resulted in chunky highlights that didn't naturally blend in. It was not a balayage in any way, shape, or form. (Picture attached.) Ms. Wilson saw that picture and didn't see anything wrong with it. She responded, first, with a lecture on what balayage is in an effort to discredit us - with misinformation, no less. She said balayage "isn't necessarily a technique" - no, it is a technique. That's literally what it is, what makes it special in the first place - the unique application. The more she talked about it, the more ignorant and patronizing she came across. She told us we have to talk to the stylist and that she could give us the stylist's number. All well and good. But then she left us standing there and continued picking apart my sister's complaint. She kept saying unhelpful, inflammatory things like, "Well if you'd talked to [the stylist] first maybe she would've fixed your hair for free." I don't know if she was in a bad mood or what, but she wanted to argue. Understandably I was irritated by this, but I stayed calm. I said we didn't want the original stylist to fix my sister's hair. Ms. Wilson acted like she had been personally attacked. She raised her voice and became visibly angry, demanding, "What do you want me to do?" I tried to say we just wanted the stylist's number but she kept talking over me. It made us very uncomfortable, so I had to tell her to chill. She seriously needed to calm down; there was no need for her to get defensive and escalate the situation. Instead, she lost it. She started yelling. She told us to leave before she called the police. She shouted, and I quote, "Exit my fricken business!" I was beyond done and going to leave, but we still needed the stylist's number for a refund. So I asked her, calmly, "Could you please give us [the stylist's] contact information?" I thought it was a reasonable request. Still enraged, she snapped, "You know what? Find it online." (We have this exchange on video, by the way.) Admittedly I did call her a name right before I left, but it was my only act of aggression in the whole mess and, frankly, she deserved it after the way she treated us. I will be doing what Ms. Wilson said and staying out of her "fricken" business for good. I'm telling everyone I know to avoid Envy as well. There are better salons in the area that are professional, friendly, and highly skilled - Tease and Ross Michaels comes to mind. Ms. Wilson needs to work on basic customer service skills because this does not bode well for any business. As the owner you represent your entire salon, your staff - even if they are independent contractors. You need to treat customers with care and respect. Don't be condescending. Don't make excuses. A little empathy goes a long way. Doing a little research on balayage wouldn't hurt, either.

The first time I went there Michael and Kimberly were very pleasant and they did a decent job with my hair (cut and color). The next time I went I felt rushed and not listened to. The last time I went Kimberly was not pleasant at all. I asked her to do the same color job as last time and she left the front (headband) gray. I told her I wanted it light blond with some dark blonde lights so when the gray started growing in 2 weeks it would blend and not look like a white circle around my face. It was like she didn't hear me it all and I had to ask her to do it over. She did but she wasn't happy about it. Then Michael cut my hair and I would swear he was in his man-period. He didn't say 2 words to me and rushed through the cut like he was a million miles away. The last time I went there I showed pictures of the cut and color. I ended up looking nothing like the photos. If they thought my hair would not work in the style or color I wanted they should have said so and offered me an alternative. They didn't say anything and it felt like they just did what they wanted and ignored me. Needless to say I was even farther from what I wanted for my hair. I gave up and now its been about 8 months since I did anything to my hair. I think Michael and Kimberly are burned out so it depends on how they are feeling on the day you come in.

For me, their haircuts were average. After COVID, I decided to treat myself and get a really good haircut. My neighbor sees Susan at Bayshore Salon, and her hair always looks great (fun, casual and super cute). But at the time, Susan wasn't available, so I booked an appointment with Sierra. At the time, I wasn't sure if Great Clips was still in my future. My hair is kind of coarse and kind of frizzy, but Sierra is always up for the challenge. I've always been really happy with the way Sierra styles my hair. Sierra cut my hair yesterday, and I am extra happy. I got up this morning and didn't do anything to my hair (I didn't even brush it) and it still looks great. It's a pixie cut, and it frames my face perfectly. She is absolutely meticulous in getting every last hair to be right. Sierra is an artist and I'm never going back to Great Clips!

Other salons argued that my hair COULD NOT handle another session of lighting. and that it WOULD fall out wherever the color remover was. The manager said that i'd also have to pay out of pocket for the highlighting service. I had to go to another salon to apply an all over color which was my only option at this point. I never received a sorry and they never tried to make this right. i reached out to the lady that did my hair and got my money back which was $238. I paid for my hair to be beyond damaged. not to mention all the products i had to buy to try and nurse my hair back to health as well as a haircut to try and save what i could. The way they decided to remove the black from my hair wasn't the wrong thing to do, it was the 4 day break in between two sessions. and the care that wasn't had. This lead to my hair being over processed and extremely damaged. And then the OWNER telling me to come back for highlights. They both should've known better.

GO TO BIANCA! Y'all, I'm 9 months pregnant and all kinds of huge and unattractive right now - this girls works miracles! And she pampered me - I swear I fell asleep in the chair 3 times, I think she spent 20 minutes massaging my hair during the shampoo just because she's an angel. I came in with a blah cut and color from a previous stylist in a different state (I'm blonde, thick but fine hair, naturally straight, so if my style doesn't include a lot of layers, my hair just kind of blobs to the sides of my long face and it just isn't my best look) - Bianca knows her way around blonde coloring for sure. She gave me an awesome partial highlight that was the perfect color (it brightened up my look and was the beige blonde I wanted + she understood I'm a mom about to have another baby, so she gave me the perfect highlights to handle grow-out so I don't look like a skunk). She also gave me a haircut that rocks my world. She kept my length exactly how I asked, gave me a ton of layers that could ALL fit into a pony tail or bun (because mom-world.), and she didn't complain at all about the fact that I haven't been maintaining my hair or coloring and had so much grow out (again, hard to get in when you have young kiddos - she was so kind about it). She's fast, patient, has the most gentle hands ever (seriously, you'll fall asleep your scalp feels so good while she's working), pampered this 9 month preggo, and did a killer job on my coloring and styling. Basically, if you're a mom of young kids and get super scared when you open your phone and the selfie camera is turned on and you think, "omg, why do I look like this?" go into Bianca and get a partial highlight and cut/style. She'll highlight it just right so when it grows out it won't be super obvious, it'll brighten up your face (and day), you'll leave feeling more pampered and relaxed than a freaking massage, and then you'll go to the park with your toddler immediately after and get a crap-ton of compliments about how nice you look from complete strangers... and you're not even wearing your fancy make-up. I travel from roy to the silverdale salon every few weeks which is over a hour and 30 min drive ..just to have Krista do my hair....She is not only very good ..She is the best....always has a smile and wonderful personality she makes me feel great when she colors and cuts my hair. I was not impressed with the way I was treated here by the receptionist. I literally just walked in to ask about 3 trims and 1 cut. The woman was rude and looked at me like I was scum. I hope she was just having a bad day, but I will continue my service elsewhere. read more

The salon is very dark. When she was done with my hair, looked darker than I asked for but since it was dark in the salon, I decided not to say anything in front of her new client. I thought it would be better to check it out at home. She was eager to set up a new appointment but I made an excuse so I could evaluate this very expensive hair coloring. My bill with tip was $365.88. I got home and checked my hair in every light in my house. It was much darker than it was when I went in which is not at all what I asked. I asked for an icy blonde and not a brunette. I messaged her, told her I would not make another appointment and said my hair was much darker than it was before I went in. She recommended purple shampoo to help correct her mistake. I would have to spend money to fix it but this is also the same shampoo she told me while she was doing my hair that she wouldn't recommend it for my hair type (I have been told in the past not to use it). She offered to redo it for free but at this point, I lost any ounce of confidence in her. Her mistake, her bad recommendation (other colorists agree) etc. I then asked for my tip back because she truly did not deserve a penny of it. She decided to ignore me after I asked. After she ignored me, I decided to comment on her post, the one I saw to make an appointment. I stated the above with pictures. Within 5-10 minutes (not at all exaggerating) she deleted the post. She decided to post in a local private group of all beauticians etc. in kitsap and she told everyone if I made an appointment to fix her mistake, they need to cancel because I was a difficult client. She blocked anyone who defended me. This post was very hurtful since she made the mistake. I was criticized by a few of her friends who backed her and was told they back her only because she's one of them. She slandered my name, made sure no colorist would touch me to fix her mistake (or take me on as a client) in kitsap, kept 100% of the money, refused to return the tip (I didn't ask for it all, just my tip) and had her friends pm me to harass me. Every time I get it cut it's always lopsided , or I have a random long piece in the back . This girl is a rockstar !! I had my hair japanese thermal straightened and have been trimming it out so I can enjoy my curls again . She shaped my hair, thinned it out , taught me about curl patterns , how to retrain my hair , correct salon grade products , heat products , inquired about my routine , and even talked to me about color because I was honest and told her I had thermal straightening in my hair still and the color she is seeing is blonde that I had professionally colored back to my original color . I can't wait to go back to start my color journey ! Since I want peak a boos in there ! She was so lovely , knowledgeable and after the cut my hair has been bouncy , light , curly for days ! The color was brushed on as fast as the stylist could go. The stylists have been trained to work as fast as possible. My first visit I left with my roots still showing all around my face. The second visit was slightly better but then I realized my hair was cut crooked in the back (they don't offer you a hand mirror to look at the back of your hair when they are finished). On my last visit I tried the headspa. I was expecting a relaxing treatment. Nope. Rush, rush, rush. The massage part was met with stiff hands moving quickly with no hint of relaxation. The hand massage was about 30 seconds per hand and there was no arm massage at all. For $100 I expected a lot more. I wanted to love this salon but I don't like it at all. The whole vibe is all about speed, not care or quality. They need to lay off the social media which portrays them so inaccurately and start listening to customers wants and making sure they take the time to do what they are advertising. It's a hard no for me.

I had high hopes for this salon due to the review however this was not my experience. I had another…read morestylist (not this salon) accidentally apply dark toner applied in July over highlights and came to Heather in November in the hopes that she could lift the color and introduce soft highlights that would re lighten my hair. I requested face framing ombré style highlights and showed her two reference images. I also asked for a very blunt edge trim at the bottom of my hair. The cut was not blunt and Heather didn't cut it in a straight line as requested. My face framing highlights do not align at all, and less than two weeks later are extremely brassy. (I have been washing with purple shampoo and high quality products. I figured this could be corrected and I reached out to Heather to see if there was something we could do and showed her images of the brass highlights (that were new highlights done by her especially in the front section of my hair) She responded days later only when I followed up with a second text politely asking if she saw my text. I never expected a free redo. I fully intended on paying for any correction she did. I was surprised when Heather not only responded that this was due to my "greys" as you can see in the first photo (which was taken right before my hair appointment) my hair had very little greys on one side of my hair as I just started greying during the pandemic. My message to her: "Hi heather it's xx you did my hair a little over a week ago. I've tried to get used to the change but I'm so not happy with the hair color as the color now looks like I have grey streaks instead of color. Is there any way we could work to correct this please? " Her message to me: Hi xxxx, I'm so glad we were able to lighten and get the results we did given the color correction aspect and starting point of the service. As we had discussed it will be a process to get to where you want it. The brassiness is residual from the toner/color the previous guy stylist used. A violet shampoo would help with any brassiness. Given the parameters of what your looking to achieve the best service for you would be a balayage. That way you can get your gray roots taken care of as well as work on the highlights. I actually don't offer the balayage technique, and unfortunately don't have any stylist recommendations of ones who do the service. I really wish you the best in finding the perfect stylist for you!" No effort whatsoever to the fact that my hair looked the way that it did nor did I ask for a balayage. I went In for an ombré look and somehow left with highlights that started all the way in the top which are now so brassy. Furthermore, I was told this would cost about 120 and I left the salon paying 230. Definitely not worth it as I now have to find someone that can somehow help me correct the color of the highlights. As a business owner, I realize hair isn't an exact science and that it does take a few visits to get a certain results... but I do not understand how someone could be dismissed and not even offered an appointment to attempt correction, even if it meant paying again. Heather is nice, but she didn't do what I asked, and didn't help correct the issue when I was unhappy with the result. I also feel like she didn't honor my requests with a blunt cut or ombré look with light face framing light highlights and instead did what she felt would look best on me, not what I asked for. And didn't help me out when I expressed dissatisfaction.
