Sean (aka Jazzy) arrived at our home on relatively short notice (two days). He repaired a closet shelf, which had pulled loose from the wall. He arrived within the time-frame he gave us, was very personable and polite, and went to work reinstalling the shelf. Sean made a point to use special screws and nails which would prevent the shelf from pulling loose again. He was neat and careful around our belongings. I finally received the quote, but the price was higher than a contractor with great materials.

This review is for TRYING to schedule an appointment. NO WORK WAS DONE. So I called 3 months ago, he picked up instantly. A good sign. Told him I needed a list of services done, light fixtures replaced, drywall patched, sanded, and painted, new shelves installed, 2 new ceiling fans. He asked that I text him photos of what needed to be done. He said he'd call me in a few days to schedule an appointment. 3 weeks later, I called him again - this time no answer. Not a good sign. I sent him a text asking to contact me. No reply. Another bad sign. 4 weeks after that, I sent one last text. No reply, no call. Based on other reviews, I see that he was slammed with "covid" work and that we should be patient. Well, I WAS patient and gave him 3 months to contact me back. He never called back. Also based on other reviews - he work is excellent. I have no doubt that it is. I however can not say the same as we just never connected and no work was done. This review is for lack of communication - no matter how "slammed" he is with work, he can always call back and say "I have no appointments available for the next 60 days"... but no response? at all? I ended up getting the work done from someone else, but 3 months later... Based on his reviews - if you can get him - do it. That is - IF - you can get him... Edit: In response to his comment.... I WAS FLEXIBLE! 3 months, no call back, no text, nothing. This is unacceptable - you deserve a bad review. To use covid as an excuse for not calling someone back in 3 months!?? pathetic. Since one of my bathrooms has multiple problems including conversion from tub to shower, stop the leakage into the wall which caused mold to grow in the drywall. After trying different construction contractors, I found out that only handyman can solve my problems. Unfortunately, the first handyman I came across was a con artist who scammed me and left. Then I came across Jazzy's handyman Service. I called and Deshawn came and looked at the work in the bathroom and kitchen and gave me an estimate. I agreed to the estimate, and he prepared a contract and we signed it. I was surprised when I noticed that he never included what portion of the estimate I should pay in advance. When I asked him, he told me that I would pay him at the end of the project. That was a sign of his confidence in the quality of his work, which impressed me!! We set the date when he would start the project. I was following the day-to-day progress of the project. Deshawn is highly disciplined, enjoys his work, gets lost in his work and loses tracking time. He never cuts corners. He enjoys his work; it is a real meditation for him. This became clear to me when he told me that he left his profession that he was trained for at college up to master's degree, environmental engineering.
